The owners of Artisans Restaurant have created a place unlike any other. The vast working kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant, with views from every seat in the building. The culinary team works like an orchestra, where their composer is the owner/executive chef and they work in unison to create art for their audience consistently while paying attention to every detail.

The food was delicious, the service was great. The tables are too close together it was uncomfortable
Classic nouveau French cuisine in a cozy atmosphere.
We had a good meal for my wife’s birthday!
The food, service, and atmosphere is great. They are expensive but I take 1/2 home. One of my favorite places.
We love this place! Have been for dinner with friends, as a couple, for a graduation lunch with a group and for birthdays. Just took our daughter last night for her 18th birthday, and they just treated her like a princess! It was fantastic. The food is spectacular, very thoughtful and beautifully presented. If you are into French food, it is such a delight to see so many delicious options. If you are not into French food, you should be, but there are also many selections with a Texas/American slant. The service is always impeccable. Always. It is a perfect place for a romantic evening or group event, they can accommodate anything. Like I said, we love this place!!
Food was great, as always. Service was good except for the servers not wearing masks. That was really unsettling when sitting in a high table and the waiter’s face is inches from mine.
The food was delicious, wonderful atmosphere, the waiter was very friendly made us feel like we were welcome there. It was my daughter's birthday and the celebration was over the to at artesan. We will be back.
Excellent food, ambiance and service! The soup was incredible
Traditional French restaurant. Great food selection, lots of menu options. Food is indulgent and rich. Service was excellent with a special mention to Gregory who guided us through the wine list. Highly recommend, will be going again…. and again.
Great vibes and service! I made reservations here for my dad's bday and it was perfect. The food was amazing and service was top notch. My family and I agree this is our new spot for birthdays. :)
I believe this is one of the best restaurants in Houston. It is definitely the best value for money. The food is Michelin star quality. The staff is very friendly, professional, and attentive.
We have dined here numerous times, and it is always fabulous! On this occasion, we came in for the Houston Restaurant Weeks dinner, but decided to go with the six course chefs selection with wine pairing. Fantastic! And the service is wonderful.
The food was absolutely terrible and not something you would expect from a 5 star French restaurant.
We had a dinner reservation for 6 to celebrate a birthday and this was our first and only time dining here.
Everyone at our table ordered different dishes and sadly, I cannot think of at least one that was decent. Escargot was the worst we've ever had,
lobster bisque arrived barely warm and had a huge piece of a lobster shell on the bottom of the bowl (not sure if this was meant as a part of presentation, but this was not a pleasant one), foie gras tasted almost raw, my daughter's steak with green peppercorn sauce - tasteless and green peppercorns missing from the dish, the lamb I ordered to be cooked medium - overcooked and dry....even the dessert tasted like overcooked scrambled eggs. None of us finished our food. We don't mind paying top dollar for a great dining experience once in while (our bill was almost $1000), but when we do, we expect exactly that and not less. This was not even close. Will never be back.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere & service. My duck was great & the potatoes superb! Very flavorful
Busy because of the exceptional Restaurant Week value. We had one extra so they put us in the separate chef’s table. Exceptional value , delicious, and fun
Awesome service, food and ambiance! This is my favorite spot in Houston.
I love Artisans. Exceptional food and service each time we go. My table had three different appetizers and three different dinner plates and we were impressed with everything.
Gregory was a wonderful server. He was attentive and answered all of our questions from the menu. We will be returning soon.
We had a pleasant experience. Food was good, not great (HRW menu). Salad dressing was too salty.
Absolutely amazing service from everyone. Food was on point, timing was great, and they went above and beyond when there was a minor hiccup at the end, which I would not have expected them to do. Will definitely be back.
All wonderful experience, food is great and service is well. Noise is big since sitting beside the gate of ballroom
The attention to every detail leads to an exceptional dining experience. The food, service and atmosphere are just outstanding. The complex layers of flavor come through in every dish we had. Highly recommend this gem!
Excellent experiece with consistently delicious foods, beautiful presentations and fantastic service.
First time going to this restaurant and wasn’t disappointed at all. Went with girlfriend and father who was visiting from out of the country and had a great experience. Everything we ordered on the menu was in point and delicious. Our server was very interactive and humorous, highly recommended. We even had the opportunity to meet the Chef/Owner since my father and Owner belong to the same International Gastronomy Association. Very pleasant experience and would definitely go again in the future.
Had the business lunch with some uncharged items. Everything was delicious! Even the baby enjoyed the foie gras, lobster bisque and risotto. Steak was great! Salmon was done just right! Wonderful!!
There are not many French restaurant in Houston; Artisans is one of the best. We ordered Houston Restaurant Week menu; the portion of food was more than we expected; however the fish's quality was not really good; the stink fishy taste was very strong. The ambience is beautiful, unique, and comfy; customers were able to see the cleanness through the open kitchen concept. Service is great; our waiter and the manager met our requests.
Great food, pleasant service, quiet and romantic. One of Houston’s best.
I go to Artisans each year to celebrate my birthday. The cuisine and service are exceptional. They have an extensive wine selection, excellent cocktails and a warm welcoming atmosphere.
The food never disappoints here and the atmosphere is very romantic. The service was good at our most recent visit but not the same quality it used to be. Before, the servers went out of their way to make recommendations and ask about preferences. Overall, we still love Artisans, it just doesn't feel like the same experience anymore.
First time to Artisans and I loved it. Had the 6 course chefs selection which was phenomenal. Very rich and filling but worth it.
Hostess greeted us and instead of showing us to a table she showed us numerous tables and allowed us to choose.
Waiter was very nice and attentive. Helpful with menu and wine choice.
Food was very delicious and filling.
We asked our server to box up our food. They kept part of it for themselves - the part that I most wanted! Who on Earth does this?
Second time visiting. First time it was an amazing culinary experience. This last time not so much. We had the Reataurants Week Menu. Overall the food was 7/10. The salad was salty, almost no tomatoes and a couple of mushrooms. The lamb was a little too bitter, but good consistency. The breaded or fried onions on top seemed unnecessary and were not flavorful. The strawberry mousse had perfect consistency but the chocolate and actual mousse was bland. The drink was good.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends. The restaurant is just lovely with a perfect setting. The food was fabulous and the service was fantastic. We will be back.
Some the highest quality food near downtown. Small portions but perfect for multiple courses. Their 3 course business lunch is superb.
Service was excellent! We went for the restaurant weeks menu and are already planning our return for the full tasting menu. Excellent food and our server was very friendly and attentive. Courses were prompt without being on top of each other.
Not a very good experience, the fish dish ordered was off, but the management replaced it without much fuss which we had to do as a takeaway. The starters was good. Just wasn’t my expectation of fine dining.
The 6-course menu is fantastic, but I’m not a fan of the wine pairings and probably wouldn’t opt for that again. But the food is great, so well prepared, and sitting at the chefs counter is fun.
A great evening with great food. We sampled one of the tasting menus with a wine pairing. Everything was outstanding.
