Artisan Ratings and Reviews
Ten of us went to celebrate the birthday of one. The restaurant exudes gracious, sophisticated dining in a relaxed and artistic atmosphere. Their prix fixe lunch menu is truly a wonderful value.
We had brought our own birthday cupcakes which our server, Grayson, presented ceremoniously to the table with candles lit on individual plates which he had beautifully garnished.
Everyone left exhilarated from the experience and looking forward to returning. A memorable dining experience.
My wife and I went for our anniversary and had a very positive experience. Atmosphere in the main restaurant is very nice. Food was solid as was the service and we felt that the price was appropriate for the value we got. Also, the bartender overheard that it was our anniversary, must have told the Manager and he brought us each a glass of Champagne in the house. Very nice touch! 👍
Outstanding food, service, and setting. The tuna crudo was bursting with flavors and pleasant surprises in every bite. The squash ravioli melted in your mouth, rich in flavor without being heavy. Delightful rose by the glass (and some killer french fries) topped off a delicious meal.
I had taken my girlfriend here for her birthday and was blown away with how beautiful and cozy this restaurant is. The Waiter and staff were wonderful and very polite. We had clams as an appetizer and they were on par with some of the best I’ve had. (New England has some great clams) and out entree’s were beautifully prepared as well as well cooked. Would 100% come here again.
Good food, good ambiance, but unhappy with the service experience. The bartender was rude. Didn’t greet us. Then told an inappropriate joke. Our dinner waiter was fine, but our dessert order was lost. Water glasses were not refilled. At a high end restaurant, top notch service is expected.
Enjoyed the restaurant week dinner; beef carpaccio as a starter and skirt steak with fries as
the main course were great, the steak perfectly charred and tender, with bearnaise sauce. Dessert of profiteroles was very tasty. Sat inside, lots of tables busy outside on a warm evening. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.
Artisan is a really nice restaurant and have been here several times for different occasions. The food has always been really good, but this time around we were really disappointed in the service. When the "manager" comes over to take your drink/dinner order you know there is a problem and we felt it. Disappointing given the "price point" of this restaurant.
We have been to Artisans quite a few times. We enjoy the atmosphere and the great food. However, the service is just about always poor. It takes quite a while to get service, and then things come in pieces (1)butter for 4 people, more butter when pancakes were finished, have to ask for water etc. It's one of the few restaurants we continue to go to in spite of the service. The wait staff needs to be re-trained.
I had an excellent meal at Artisan with family including an elderly relative who has hearing loss. We greatly appreciated the quiet atmosphere. Staff were highly respectful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Last but absolutely not least, the food was delicious and locally sourced. This restaurant was designed by experts, is run by experts, and clearly wants to impress.
We showed up at 11am - no one to greet us. After walking around looking for someone we were told everyone was "in a meeting" and were asked to go wait in the lounge. Restaurant was empty. So we waited. And waited. Finally someone else came in and someone came out and seated them - completely forgetting about us. So yes, service not great. We ordered prix fixe brunches which included mimosas. I don't drink so I ordered plain orange juice - you know, a mimosa without the alcohol in it. Surprised to see at the end that they charged for the orange juice (5 bucks!) - thought it must be a mistake and was told that no - only the orange juice with the alcohol is free, not without. Insert eye roll here. Food mediocre, sausage undercooked. Won't return.
