A hidden gem! Excellent all around from the drinks to the service to the food. Great outside scene complimented by a classy main dining room. Definitely will be back!
Just awesome in every respect. Good service, excellent menu and wine options. Food and presentation was wonderful. One of the best dining experience in years. Strongly recommend.
Just leaving dinner this evening and it was quite literally a debacle. We arrive 90 minutes prior to our reservation to make the most of the outdoor oasis - but if someone had been available to take or fulfill an order it might have been so.
My husband and I are regular visitors. And tonight was seriously a negative experience. In every possible way from start to finish.
I saw almost no one we’ve seen weekly for the last few months. All of whom have made our experiences spectacular.
Crazily wondering what has happened?
Disappointed in so many ways.
Please communicate with me - we are loyal customers, but very disappointed.
Artisan is a great experience. The new sommelier that Artisan employed is great! Very helpful and knowledgable in the various selections of wines offered. My only real complaint is that the server was not proactive about keeping our table clean. I had to ask to have it cleaned after time passed by, and realizing that it wasn't happening.
Fantastic girls lunch. Service from Juan and Luigi was exceptional.
Great food - bizarre service.
A rather strange and expensive experience...From the bartender who seemed 'too bothered' to bring a drink menu to the waitress (who was sweet) but overly attentive at first and then vanished for long periods. For example, she tried to get us to order food mere moments after we received our menus, but then disappeared for long periods later on for drinks etc.
The entire evening felt very disconnected and rather disappointing.
Nice atmosphere... great cocktails .romantic settings..accommodating staff
The dining room is very pretty, good was great!
Most incredible food you will ever eat! Exceptional local menu. Beautifully designed interior. This is my favorite place for a very special night out.
Always a lovely lunch spot. Very nice choices on the price-fixed lunch menu:)
Food was terrific. Modern but had that traditional flavor. The service was great and believe it or not the seafood chowder was amazing. Would highly recomend.
It was awesome, wanted to make a reservation again for this weekend, but doesn't look like anything in our time frame is open...thanks
Our food was not good at all. Everything was very salty. My roasted chicken came with blue cheese mashed potatoes. There was way too much blue cheese in the recipe. My husbands scallops were rubbery. Wine selection was poor. We typically dine here several times a year and have always been happy with the food and wine but this time it seemed like we were at a completely different restaurant. Won't be rushing back here any time soon.
The worst service we have experienced in a long time
Usually the food is very good but the menu was limited, food was ok, very small portions for the price. Very disappointing.
Very nice but evidently whoever wrote up the menu does not know the difference between a Maine Lobster Roll and a Connecticut Lobster Roll. There is a big difference and what was billed as a Maine Lobster Roll, which is chilled with mayonnaise and some celery or fresh parsley was in fact a hot and buttered Connecticut Lobster Roll. It was delicious, but not Maine style.
as usual the service was friendly and exceedingly competent
Love this restaurant. This visit was very quiet, as most of the guests were dining outdoors and we were inside. The waiter was not up to the quality we expect at Artisan, and a bit standoffish. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our dinner with good friends in a lovely venue, especially since we were able to converse and not strain to hear.
Loved it all...
Food was good but not great for the price, though portion size was generous.
Service was not what it should have been for a restaurant like that. Our appetizers were served all at once, rather than in courses. They forgot my husband’s birthday candle on his dessert, which was disappointing.
Also we could only get 6:15 pm reservations even though restaurant had many empty tables.
It was lovely summer evening to sit outside. Chose the prix fix menu which was outstanding. The staff were attentive but not hovering! It was a wonderful experience.
Sitting Al Fresco on a warm summer day is spectacular.
The lunch was delicious and the staff very cordial and helpful.
I will return.
Went there for brunch with friends last Sunday. It was a disappointment. Serice was not good and food was sub-par. Too bad because the location and the setting is great. Will not come back.
The lunch special is terrific and a great value.
The hanger steak my husband had was not good, my whole wheat pappardelle so tiny for $24, the best was the bar sliders my daughter had
Our waiter was pushy! We did not feel we could relax and enjoy our meal. This put a damper on the evening.
Artisan is consistently excellent in every aspect . Beautiful surroundings, quiet , delicious food and good service . My favorite !
We invited a family of 4 to join us for a Father’s Day lunch at 1:15. There was 7 of us total. The food was mediocre at best. The service was just ok. Despite having made a reservation well in advance our seating requests were not honored when we arrived. I wouldn’t go back based on our experience.
Very disappointing father’s day brunch. We drove up from the city to a more than mediocre service, they took our order an hour after our arrival. Didn’t have 12 oysters to serve us, just 9! They didn’t accept to bring bread to the table, because following the strict and very limited Father s day menu, which felt more like diner options than a full on menu. Order came in late with several mistakes. Being in the restaurant industry, our party of 6, never experienced such a poor experience. Very disappointing as we really enjoyed Artisan in the past.
I am here all the time- our family has spent thanksgiving and Christmas here for a few years - I lived at the hotel for weeks while my house was being renovated - and I come to the bar quite often. I showed up with my 83 year old father at 5:30 with a reservation and asked to sit outside -
No one was outside - and was shocked by the way we we’re treated - told no - rude hostess - my dad and I come here all the time. after dinner - we go outside and the table we requested still empty. We had a great waitress who I have had before so she made up for it.
I love artisan but the service and time was unacceptable. An hour between appetizer and main course is not acceptable.
I also asked if one specific dessert had nuts, I was told no, and there were walnuts. My son is allergic and we had to rush out of the restaurant.
They won’t be seeing us for a while.
Disappointing. It was my daugther’s Graduation dinner. I had high expectations
Most things were great. However, we had checked the box that this was a birthday dinner and that message was not acknowledged— the hostess and server did not know and there was nothing special that they delivered related to the event. We also were a party of 4 for a 5:45 seating, very few tables on the patio were taken yet there was no convincing them to seat us there. Call them about special events like this since they are not going to get it from Open Table input.
Always love it here & food is always excellent as is the service, but service wasn’t great this time! Our server didn’t really seem interested or want to be there!
It’s our go to restaurant for special occasions for dinner and lovely sunny dinning at lunch in summer.
Outstanding meal, delicious high quality preparations. But the service was so painfully slow that they had to keep apologizing. They eventually comped us dessert which was a nice gesture.
Service is always great up until the end and the server disappears. We wanted coffee and dessert and then lost interest when no one came back to the table. When they finally did we just wanted the check.
