The service here was great. The food was amazing. The ambience is calm. I had the NY strip steak and it was to die for. Overall, my girlfriend and I had a really enjoyable experience here for our first time. Will be back again!

Nice staff, good food. Had fusilli with shrimp and white wine sauce. It was excellent. What really got me was the awesome Nutella creme brulee!

My husband and I were looking for a dinner spot with a bar before a movie we were seeing in Hawthorne. We had not dined at Artisan Kitchen and Bar before. The food was good, the server and staff friendly. My only complaint was the up charge for my salad. We planned on eating popcorn at the movie so I opted to eat light. For dinner, I ordered a $12 arugala mushroom salad and a side order of truffle fries. When the bill came I was disappointed to see the salad “entree” cost $18. I did not notice language on the menu referencing the up charge, though maybe I missed it. I felt duped and while good, the salad was not worth $18 plus the cost of a side order. I feel the server should have let me know when I ordered that the salad price would be $6 more than listed on the menu.

Been here several times and always enjoyable although we have only eaten at the bar. Great drinks, food and conversation as bartenders are engaging. Will come back.

My only complaint was that they were out of my favorite beer. We were here on a Saturday night. Food was delicious & presented nicely.

Made reservations but when showed up, the restaurant was closed for a private party. Very embarrassing as we were treating our friends, only to be turned away at the door. Why would the restaurant accept reservations through OpenTable if they are actually closed?
