   Can't ever figure out why there aren't more people breaking down the door to get in this place. The food, atmosphere and service were outstanding. Must be the industrial location. Don't let that stop you from trying this wonderful restaurant.

   The restaurant was really good and the food was great. The restaurant's location seems out of place in a quasi-industrial location. Went on a Saturday at 6:00 pm and the place was empty (we were only guests). Service was fantastic and the waitress was funny and nice. Placed filled up by the time we left.

   Nice dim lighting. No loud music. Food is fresh and good. Their menu changes a bit seasonally. Location is a bit strange but don’t let that put you off.

   I really wanted to like this place. Food was good but service was really lacking. We had a 5:00pm reservation and they were out of 2/3 of the specials. Only got one round of drinks because waitress never came around. Had to ask for water. Had to ask for bread. Restaurant was 70% full not crowded or overrun. My steak was overdone and the plate was very hot which means that it probably sat under a heat lamp and overcooked. Waitress who took our order auctioned off the food when it came out. Only was a party of four adults. At this price point in the bad part of town I expect that you would have the food and service on a higher level. Food was good but nothing was overly interesting or worth coming back for. I was a waiter for fine dining for four years in college, I know how hard it is so I usually give very generous tips, this was the first time in a very long time I left a small tip.

   This was a disappointing meal from cocktails through the main course; we should have turned around when we saw the restaurant was empty at 7:00 on a Friday evening. Specialty cocktails were lackluster. A gin and tonic was ordered with lime juice and there was none in it. When we asked for a shot glass of lime juice, it was clearly lime juice mixed with water. The bread that came to the table was stale and cold, despite the wait staff saying that it was "hot from the oven." The Shishito peppers were tasty, but Caponata was dry and it was served hot, which was not stated on the menu. The seared scallops and grilled salmon were good, but the risotto was bland and although the menu stated asparagus as a side vegetable, they were out of it. The Meditteranean platter looked good, but constituents were highly salted and there were items on the plate not included in the description on the menu such as pignoli nuts on the hummus. Prices are high for a place that is located in an industrial area, Manhattan prices at Hawthorne rents. Definitely will not return.

   Empty night, food was fine but ambience is lacking for the price.

   This was a little off the beaten path for us, but we were so happy we tried it. The food was DELICIOUS!! Everyone loved all 3 courses and we would highly recommend this gem. The service was also great. We will definitely be going back!

   Absolute joke. Still seething from a wasted Saturday night.... Everything was wrong with this place. Poor timing with apps and entrees... the food, if you can even call it that, was horrendous. We didn’t even eat our entrees because they were such garbage, but we were still charged for them. Just. Don’t. Go.

    Four of us tried Artisanal Kitchen and Bar for the first time on a recent Saturday night. We made an OpenTable reservation for an early dinner at 6:00. We parked in their lot and were among the first people there; by the time we left things were much more lively and people without reservations were being turned away. We got a warm greeting on arrival, our waitress was knowledgable and attentive and glad to go ask the chef questions about ingredients. The food was uniformly good -- fresh, interesting and delicious. We'd all recommend it and would go again. (The restaurant is upstairs from a live music venue with shows on weekends. We were there for a sound check, which was loud but short. If we had been there later during the show I think dinner would have been a bit less peaceful.)
