Artigiani Pizzeria & Cucina Ratings and Reviews
Arancini and the pizza is amazing! Better than what i had in Italy. Pasta was ok, I'll stick to the pizza next time though. Desserts are fantastic! The zeppole.. so fluffy and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and service was quick. I'll definitely go back!
Decided to head out to the Plateau with the family dinner. Read reviews about this restaurant and I am glad I did. The restaurant is small but quaint and we were lucky to get a nice table on the outdoor terrace. We all ordered pizzas from the wood burning oven and an appetizer. The grilled endive salad I ordered to start was not only different but very tasty. My girls ordered the arancini which they adored. The pizza was cooked to perfection and excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Our meal was delightful!! We stumbled upon this spot and were so thrilled we did. From the grilled shrimp in saucy tomato sauce, my prosciutto and arugula pizza, my husband's orecchiette with wild boar ragu to my father in law's choice of the special mahi mahi... everything was wonderful. Our server was spot on for the dessert recommendations which were amazing.
Honestly, this was one of my favorite pizza places in Montreal. I brought three new people to try it last night. Typically my rating would be 5 on 5.
It must have been a VERY off night. The restaurant was basically 1/3 full. It took over an hour to get our pizzas which came ten minutes apart. The pizzas we had last night did not look or taste the same as every other time I have been. I even compared pictures of my and my friends pizzas to the photos I have taken in the past. No one enjoyed their pizza, they were just average. Typically it's so good that you want to order a second one.
We were given free dessert for making us wait so long. I must say as amazing as the dessert was, which per usual is 5 on 5, it still didn't make up for our experience with the pizza which was once a thing of delicious beauty.
Bouffe toujours bonne. Service presque impeccable (manque un peu de discrétion pour le service du vin... Un peu envahissant). Avec seulement une visite, le proprio se souvenait du vin que nous avions pris. J'aime ce genre d'attention qui devons nous dire est exceptionnel.
We used to love this place as the pizza was like the ones you get in Northern Italy. Last time we went there it was awesome, that was 8 month ago. Now the Pizza tastes just like any other US made pizza (Domino like). The dough was still perfect, but the sauce just wasnt top notch no more. Its still a good place but the pizza was way better.
We have been to Artigiani a few times and had good experiences. This time was different and not up to their previous standard. My wife ordered a pasta with fresh mushrooms and sent it back - there was a very gritty texture, as though the mushrooms had not been washed properly. My pizza was average but nothing special. They didn't charge us for the pasta, which was to be expected, but we didn't get much of an apology or even an offer of complimentary coffee or desert. Given the number of good pizza/pasta places in Montreal, I'm not sure if we will go back.
