Arthur Hooper's is a stylish restaurant overlooking Borough Market. We've infused the spirit of the area’s tradition that allows visitors to easily sample fresh food from local suppliers and wine from all over the world.
Our menu is inspired by fresh nutritious ingredients and flavours, sourced from local market suppliers including Neal’s Yard, Cannon & Cannon and Bread Ahead.
Our charming and cosy first floor FRUIT & VEG private dining room is available for hire throughout the day. Perfect for business meetings, product launches, workshops or intimate gatherings with friends and family.
Absolutely delicious food. We ordered same dish twice..... Burrata cheese
Atmosphere felt bit ‘cold’ as walked in maybe as only one table in use, or perhaps the interior design? Colour might enhance it perhaps. Brilliant service, great knowledge of the dishes we had questions about.
Would highly recommend.
Lovely food good wines and cocktails, some nice beers, friendly front of house staff.
Good place to catch a nice drink or eat a meal.
Great little bar with fantastic service. Small plates were perfect and full of flavour, we had the steak, burrata and avocado toast. Could have easily eaten it all over again!
I will be back for sure!
Lovely evening here. Delicious food, warm and friendly staff and lovely wine! We will be back!
Just fantastic.. LOVE this place.. Amazing . Meatballs from heaven .. just superb.. Will def be back...xxx
An odd place to dine, very small and to get a drink at the bar impossible.
We were early for our reservation and credit to the staff they got our table ready quickly, the menu choices are very limited and not that tasty, it really is a Tapas Cafe.
Food was tapas Style dining and delicious - having chosen the restaurant from a hitlisted Italian section there was a lack any connection with any Italian cooking but that should not detract from the food which was excellent and reasonably priced standing its location - maybe needs a signature dish or attraction.
A nice little find in Borough Market. I loved the ambience and layout of the restaurant. There was a wide variety of small plates, some of which were available as main courses. I will definitely be visiting again.
Always a lovely experience, great food good wines friendly staff, what's not to enjoy?
I had lunch here based on a TimeOut review of Italian restaurants and was not disappointed. Overall the food was excellent. We shared the starters and had a main course. The starters were particularly good. I enjoyed my main course of pasta with pork ragu. The staff were helpful and friendly, and it was reasonably priced. I would happily go back there.
Nice restaurant under the arches at Borough Market. Nice food for mid-priced meal near London Bridge. Could have a bit more buzz, but it was a Tuesday !
Great food, great wine. A lovely evening - will definitely be back!
Great food - great staff.
Great food, no duds at all. Only disappointment was one of the wines we wanted was out of stock. Other than that couldn’t fault the experience at all.
Really delicious sharing plates at a good price. Excellent and personal customer service
Had a great lunch. Small plates were really tasty and the wine choice excellent. Highly recommended
A lovely little restaurant just off Borough Market. European inspired food served tapas style i.e. sharing plates! Gorgeous food, beautifully presented and as a carnivore I have to confess, the vegetarian options on the menu had me salivating! I would definitely recommend AH, the staff, food, wine, and atmosphere were all great. It just made for a brilliant evening catching up with friends.
In general, the ambience is nice and the noise level kept at bay. Food was generally good. We sent back the cheese because it was too cold and it was returned almost at same temperature. Waiter apologised by saying they dont have a fridge dedicated to cheese only - the investment would be worth. Sourdough bread wasnt very good, somewhat bland and a bit chewy - I was expecting more from the bread. All in all, it was a lovely evening, and we enjoyed the food as well as the restaurant setting.
Great value set lunch menu. The mackerel was superb. Service was a little slow to take our order but after that the staff were really friendly and generally very efficient. Great location in Borough market. I would definitely go again.
Good food and service in a pleasant atmosphere and in a good location
Great restaurant. Loved the food and the service was very friendly. Hit all the top notes!
A lovely cute spot for friends or dates. The burrata is amazing! Also the staff went our their way to make us welcome
Fantastic venue and really friendly service. Awesome food. Can’t wait to go back.
Lovely euro tapas bar next to borough market, friendly staff good wines and cocktails, ideal for family or a friend's get together. Options for celebration private room. Regular cheese and wine pairing evenings what's not to like.
Service and food with a passion!
Brilliant food and a brilliant atmosphere. The wine was also great. However, what made this place were the staff. They were helpful, funny and made a great restaurant brilliant. GO HERE NOW!!!!
Went for a business lunch with a friend. Good, friendly service and good food. We kept things simple - both went for a sea bream main course, with some home made lemonade and coffee. Bill was £60 for two, including 12.5 % service charge.
Really great place, excellent wine and good food. Only drawback was that because it is small once it is full it is very loud. Might have also been because we were sat next to a large group.
What a delight! Superb, delicious, beautifully balanced plates, great wine and excellent service. Really cannot recommend it enough!
Very good service - careful, not pushy - great food. Lamb meatballs, chicken pate, pasta with ragu - all outstanding. Nice wine list. A very good place to be. Room management was first class.
Great food and wines, very friendly front of house, trying hard to accommodate your needs. Add to this some really nice cocktails and you have harbour hooper's....
The price was higher than the indicative range on the site so be aware! But food, service and ambiance was good.
Really lovely small plates. Not too small though. Lovely flavours in all dishes. The beetroot tagliatelle was a highlight as was the carpaccio. Service very good.
This is my favourite restaurant in Bermondsey. Situated in the vibrant Borough Market. The food is always of a consistently high standard and the wine list very palatable - my favourite is the Alberino. Four of us dined on Tuesday evening and we ordered an array of different dishes which we all shared. Delicious food, excellent service. Love this place
Arthur Hooper’s is a gem of a restaurant. The staff are really friendly and give excellent advice for your wine and food choices. The food is delicious and I always look forward to visiting this restaurant again.
Dependable in every way which is why I have Arthur Hooper’s on ‘to go to’ list
lovely service beautiful venue not too busy our food was very nice they also had vegan menu :)
Our favourite restaurant in London. Not just because it is possible to eat well as a vegan, but also because the homemade Amaretto keeps bringing us back... Outstanding.
The food is consistently good: the dishes are unusual without being weird or wacky. The staff are pleasant and attentive. It can be a bit quiet, especially considering the location; I suspect the name suggests “pub” whereas it is very much a restaurant (suitable for low-key birthdays, meals with friends, etc).
The set lunch menu is excellent value - we had a aubergine and feta starter followed by a delicious mackerel dish for £12.00. Attentive service. Noise level ok but at times not easy to hear the conversation across the table once the restaurant filled up. Having said that I would go back because the food was excellent.
Great food & wicked cocktails, all served by friendly staff. The restaurant has a very relaxed ambience & we will visit again.
