Outdoor seating, friendly service. The chicken korma was delicious!
This was our second trip to Arth in last month. This experience wasn’t quite as good as our first and following are my observations.
* The Signature Butter Chicken Tikka is fantastic along with the Garlic Naan - Arth is worth visiting for this dish alone
* The Paneer Starter (Kebab style) is good but could do with a little more mint sauce on the plate.
* The Chicken Tikka starter wasn’t all breast meat and some of it looked undercooked and a little pink
* Both starters looked and felt as they’d been microwaved and reheated but were still nice
* Took too long for starters to arrive - 45 mins
Overall still one of my favourites and we are booked again.
Really delicious food. Bring lots if people so you can order lots of things on the menu to try! Very interesting menu. The lamb shank was fantastic!
Overall just ok. Many Indian restaurants try their take on higher end Indian dining. Overall, while the ambiance was nice, the food quality and taste was just average, pretty similar to other Indian restaurants. I do wish the cocktails were a little more flavorful and that there’s at least one cocktail made with a whiskey.
Delicious, authentic Indian food served with a modern presentation. Lovely ambiance, unique cocktails and good value.
I absolutely loved the food. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that the service was slow (not because of front of house staff though). The staff are excellent, but there were large waits between courses.
The quality and flavor of the food is worth the wait. However, if you’re in a rush or on a business lunch I’d let your server know so they can fire everything out a bit faster.
I recommend trying this place out because there’s a unique blend of indochinese plus american flavors that really stand apart from any other place in the area.
Amazing selection of delicious food and outstanding service from the hostess onward
It’s Dine LA and I had the day off. What better way to spend the afternoon than trying a new restaurant at a great price with a dear friend! The Dine LA menu was amazing. The portions were plenty. I even left with a to-go box.
I don’t like staff reaching over my food to grab food/drink I’m barely finished with and that happened a few times- I debated mentioning it because I know it’s a part of the job, but it was bothersome.
All the staff was very nice, made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back!
Brand new . Went in during the lunch to dinner transition . Only tried the two items on the bar menu . Technically and incomplete sit down
Wonderful food and very nice servers!! Will come back!
Consistently fantastic! Been back six times can’t wait to return
Where to start? The only pleasant experience we remember was the hostess! She was very kind and lovely person. Other than that everything was sooooo bad that we can't explain. We were seated very quickly. Our server came and first thing he told us was, they don't have cocktails from Dine LA menu! Bummer! After that he didn't come to our table for 20 minutes. Once we placed the order, it took 45 minutes to get our appetizers and drinks took even longer! Same thing for dinner and dessert. Whenever we tried to look for our server, he was chi chatting with his colleagues near the kitchen. It was very unpleasant and unprofessional! He even didn't care to come to take the payment. We had ro go to the register to give him the payment! Ober all it took us more than 2 hours to leave the restaurant! It was waste of time!
Definitely a place worth trying! Went here with four friends and we were all really pleased and said we would return.
We came for LA restaurant week. The food was absolutely incredible! Together we tried: chili paneer, drunken wings, lobster, and spinach and paneer kofta, with the mango ice cream dessert. All of these were 5-star.
The cocktails were REALLY salty (not salt-rimmed, but in the drink) - we both ordered the same drink so maybe this was a fluke.
The service was the worst I’ve ever received in LA. We had to ask multiple times for water, the check, etc. At one point after asking for the check and waiting 20 minutes, we had to go inside to ask again, only to find all the staff huddled together, with no other customers in the restaurant- bizarre.
Overall, would definitely go back because the food was so good, and I’d like to hope the service and cocktails were one off mistakes. Otherwise, this may be a takeout-only place for me!
We were seated immediately, which was nice. The hostess told us as we sat down that we should wave her down at the front if we have an issue with the service, which I found strange... But telling in hindsight.
The waiter came shortly after. We were there for the DineLA menu, so the waiter took our entire dinner order at once.
After taking our order, things moved painfully slow. It took at least 10 minutes to get our water cups filled. Then another 10 minutes just to get our drinks... By the time we got the first course, we'd been there an hour already.
The appetizers were a 2/5, we got the chili paneer and monk wings. The paneer tasted like Panda Express chicken, the wings were pretty bland. The entrees took their time to come out but they were great, 4/5. We had the butter chicken and lobster. We then ordered another round of cocktails, both were terrible... The spritz and a whiskey drink.
Dessert was okay, a really small scoop of mango kulfi. We also had some chai, which was also just okay.
Overall, not worth $80+ per person.
The service was much less than good. The server was nice but everything was slow We waited close to 10 minutes for anyone to approach. Then we waited for water. Then we ordered wine and waited and waited and waited...... Dinner came before the wine. Ridiculous and just bad service.
It just seemed that some of the waiters were either new and/or ill prepared.
I don't want to say YES OR NO below. I would consider going back because I enjoyed my dinner. But likely no time soon.
Our waiter was great. Matt I believe his name was. Food was delicious. Ice cream was too frozen to eat.
This is a nice place with pleasant, modern decor. The food isn't bad. The menu features creative twists on various Indian cuisines. Don't expect the comfort food and large portions found in traditional spots. For example, the saag paneer is spinach steamed around paneer/cheese in a smooth creamy sauce. The wait staff is not all that familiar with the menu but tried to be helpful. That said, the lobster moilee is delicious. Overall, a good place for quiet conversation and interesting, mostly good food.
We had a Dine LA lunch at Arth. The DineLA menu had a lot of variety including vegetarian options and drink options including alcohol drinks like wine and beer. Our selections, fish fingers, chicken wings, chicken biryani and eggplant were generously portioned and tasty. The Mango Lassi was a bit rich for our taste, but delicious nonetheless. The service was swift and very friendly. Overall a nice lunch experience.
My husband and I joined a friend for DineLA - lunch. We had fish fingers, cauliflower bites, butter chicken, eggplant, and more, and everything was very good. The portions were good size and we had choices for both appetizers and entrees. It came with a glass of wine and a delicious dessert, and the value was excellent. I would suggest though, that they dial down a bit on the heat in the butter chicken. However, I didn't ask for "mild" so that was my fault.
Congenial atmosphere, excellent cuisine, good service. Keep it up Mihir!
First time eating at Arth and was really looking forward to it. I had been told by friends that had been there how delicious the food was. I can now attest to that! The food is fabulous, however, they have to get the service together. We waited forever for water, then our wine glasses, and menus. We ordered an appetizer and when we finally ordered our entrees, they arrived before our rice, dal, and garlic naan. The timing was terrible as by the time the other dishes arrived our entrees were cold. Accolades to the owner who listened to our constructive criticism. I think the appropriate thing to have done was to waive our corkage fee (which is costly at $25 when they barely have a wine list)...but that was not done. I'll come back again but it won't be anytime soon. They need to get their act together. If only the service matched the quality of the food it would have been a near perfect dining experience.
This restaurant offers a non-traditional menu of dishes rooted in classic indian cooking but executed in a very modern way. My absolute favorite is the Lobster Moilee, incredible curry flavors like no curry you’ve ever tasted.
Everything brought to the table is delicious. Last night was the 1st night of Dine LA. Service was overwhelming to brand new staff but their warmth and friendliness helped. No doubt this will be a successful restaurant. The owner is on the premises working and he’s very congenial and welcoming. Service will get better with experience. The vibe and the food are worth it.
The food was delicious and the service was very good, will definitely be back.
Great food, great cocktails and reasonable prices. We’ll be back!!
Way to small a portion for the pricing. You pay for ambiance and creativity, but this was excessive.
Fantastic service and great food. For being a very new restaurant opening in the crazy times of COVID, I was very impressed by the way the owner and staff handled our table with care. And appreciate the service we had. We'll be back often as the food was delicious and the music was great.
Amazing service and food was fantastic!
The food was delectable and perfectly done. The sever made wonderful recommendations for the pistachio lamb pops, the butter chicken, and the naan. We had the Indian detox drink and it was very refreshing. I hope people realize what a gem this place is. The staff was very accommodating. The place was spotless and they followed all pandemic protocol. I will definitely return!
Terrific food, a beautiful spin on Indian fare without getting too far away from the traditional. They make all of their own spices and it shows. Amazing staff and the owner is a true host, caring about his customers and their experience.
Interesting menu but not a lot of vegetable options. Mostly Chicken and lamb and different breads. Food was tasty but a bit pricey for what you get.
Finally a great indian restaurant in LA! A jewel in the city, delicious food, prepared with exquisite flavors. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I can’t wait to return.
Butter chicken blew our minds! Best I’ve had in LA
Always on the lookout for delicious Indian food with a full service bar. Three of us shared one app, and love our main courses: eggplant, butter chicken and seabass. We had excellent cocktails and two faux cocktails for our designated driver. Friendly staff - hope they can keep it up!
Portions are much smaller than it seemed when we checked online, we enjoyed the tacos, the fish Ans chips dish and the masala burger. The lobster curry was good, but I’m not worth it for how much we spent. As South Asians ourselves it’s very interesting to see the take on Indian food here.
My son was leaving to go back to college. We went for farewell family dinner.
We love Indian food and the idea of modern Indian was intriguing. We searched Yelp for something new.
We came for early dinner on Sunday 8/15. We had an awesome server, John. He had tasted the majority of menu items which was very helpful. We started with Sexy Fries and a chicken chilli bites. So yummy!! We shared classic tandoor chicken (different and more tasty that traditional tandoori chicken). The Lobster Moilee was soooo delicious! The curry was light but deeply flavorful.
The owner came over for a chat. That was a really nice addition to an already great experience. I a hopeful that this restaurant does well. If you’re reading this, please try. Everyone was super polite.
Not your usual go to Indian restaurant. Great ambiance and flavorful food! Can’t wait to go back again!
Service was very poor. Food was ok and they were disorganized. Our main dishes came out without the bread to accompany and was cold by the time wrong bread order arrived. They were apologetic and took everything back and brought it back out together but we waited a very long time. Not sure we will return.
Chicken dishes were excellent and the fries are a must. Try the tamarind drink both non alcoholic and with tequila. The bread basket is a must. I would definitely recommend ordering family style and get something from the tandoor and then a stew like dish so you can dip your naan in all the great sauces. The venue is beautiful on the inside. Only thing is the music could have been turned down a little bit.
