   Each course was better than the last one. The Fritos misto was excellent, the lasagna superb, and the profiteroles for desert with a perfectly made cappuccino was to die for.

   My favorite local restaurant. Indoor tables are well-spaced and there is plenty of outdoor seating as well. Best of all, the menu is extensive in all categories from appetizers to pizza, from pasta to entrees… and a good dessert selection. A good value in a pleasant ambiance makes it a great choice.

   Everting was great. Space between tables, new waiter attentive, music just at a good volume, food really tasty, ambiance perfect. I could hear my dinner companions!! Will return.

   I took a client here for dinner, and we had a lovely time. The cocktails were perfect, and the food was delicious. The only critique I would have would regard the appetizers. The Frito Mixto was mostly zucchini and was a bit like a soggy lump. The delicious and spectacular Tuna Tar tar came with a third of the amount of chips that would have been appropriate. Otherwise, a perfect evening.

   I’ve been to Arte many times over the years and this was not one of the best experiences. There was apparently a large private party on the patio which may have caused slow service and not very good food. I had the fettuccine bolognese which should be simple to prepare. It came to the table just warm and kind of in clumps. Tasted like it was sitting and waiting for it to be brought out for a while. I had brought 3 friends who had not been there before and none will go back.

   We love the Arte Cafe - Upper West Side restaurants. It is was of our favorite local restaurants. The menu is great, without many outstanding dishes. The service is first class. They have a full bar besides a very nice wine list.

    Arte Cafe is a go-to place on the UWS. It’s consistently good—from the food to the staff to the ambiance. The back patio is great—especially during Covid.

    Now we live literally around the block from Arte Cafe and have been going there for years. I don't know what, if anything, has changed but Arte Cafe is always good, this night was superb. I ordered a completely unimaginative (on my part) ceasar salad and linguine with clams and what I got wasn't just good, it was spectacular! And the service - we usually are at the bar, this time we took a table- was right on point, first rate. Arte Cafè per sempre!

    Went for brunch and ordered salmon Benedict’s. Poached eggs were solid — center was jammy not runny. Muffin wasn’t toasted and imho English muffins are not meant to be eaten fresh; they are designed to be toasted and are a bit nasty when cold. Hash browns were soft and had their color from paprika rather than actual browning. Side salad was overdressed; a mop of soft wet greens. Iced coffee was weak. The overhead heater in the outdoor dining area was on and we had to ask three times to get it turned off. Overall a very mediocre experience. We went because brunch reservations were scarce and they had an opening. Easy to see why slots were available here.

    Service was kind of terrible. Waiters were friendly but nobody seemed to know who was supposed to be waiting on us. We sat there for about 15 minutes before anybody came to our table. Also, had a reservation, wasn’t particularly crowded and they seated us in a fairly hectic spot near the bar without asking where we’d like to sit.

    I have never been to a restaurant where over the course of entire 1.5 hour meal no waiter ever came to the table. I had to stand up and bring over the manager just so that we could order food after sitting for 45 minutes with not even bread brought to the table (which was never brought). When the food did come they brought the wrong order, and my entre the bolognese was very bland and poorly cooked. My husband's steak was good, not great. None of the management apologized at any point in the meal despite the fact that we expressed extreme disatisfaction. I actually can't remember a worse dining experience in the last five years. You couldn't pay me to return to Arte Cafe.

    We were very disappointed with the level of service and the food. We used to enjoy a pleasant, delicious night out at the restaurant, however, we do not plan on returning anytime soon. We understand that prices of everything have increase across the board, therefore we will continue to cook and eat at home.

    Nice brunch. Reasonable prices for the neighborhood, but the portions were modest. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, with a very modest piece of chicken breast . The brioche bun was very good. Generous serving of salad in place of French fries.

    All was good except for our waiter. It felt like we were a bother to him. He treated the table next to us very nicely so I’m not sure what went wrong with us immediately. Waiters can ruin an evening. And right now people are stressed being as it is, no need to be unpleasant. The rest of the staff was wonderful as always. Same with the food.

    Everything was really good - Caesar salad is always good but the kitchen wouldn’t split it for us. Everyone liked their food - risotto with seafood, chicken parm and short ribs. Would have liked my water refilled.

    Our local Italian "go-to" for brunch did not disappoint. Overall, it was a good meal. However, the portions did get smaller with a higher price tag. My husband and I had the avocado toast which was presented one slice of bread cut in half, with two poached eggs on top. Although it was flavorful, it lacked imagination and garnish. My son had the chocolate chip pancake and it was slightly overcooked. Service was a bit slow, check in took 5 mins (there was noone at the hostess station); and there were a few helpers circulation the restaurant looking lost.

    We ended up not dining there due to awfully poor service. First, our table wasn’t ready at the reservation time. Then, after they took us to our Table, we waited for almost 20 minutes without even being served water or have our order taken. Nobody seemed to care and the restaurant wasn’t full, there were tables without customers. We just decided to leave and dine elsewhere in the neighborhood.

    Food took FOREVER. We waited an hour between the end of our starter course and our main meal. People seated around and after us all ate and left. We weren’t even offered a comp coffee or anything. And continually telling us it “should be soon” is t enough. I love the place and totally get that everyone is stretched these days. But it’s also fair IMHO to point out things that could be done better. We’ll still go back. But please, do better.

    A long-time favorite near Lincoln Center. Good food, room between tables and generally fast service. Unfortunate at this most recent visit there was a very large party in the back garden and service was much slower than usual. But I'll be back!
