View Private Dining DetailsServer was pretty terrible
Well equipped for the lunch rush for in and out dining.
The worst grits ever. The grits were watery and the sauce/gravy was even worst.
Outstanding delicious fresh farm to table great!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my first time visiting Art & Soul and I was very disappointed. The server wasn't very friendly or knowledgeable about the food, the drinks were ridiculously over-priced - a small martini was $17 and a regular 12 oz coke was $5. Two mini-loaves of banana bread was $10. Bottom line: the brunch menu was very limited and the food wasn't very good. I initially ordered the corned beef hash with potatoes and eggs, but I didn't like it so I changed my order to lemon pancakes. The pancakes looked really good but didn't taste like anything special. I still don't understand why they were even called "lemon" pancakes, I never tasted any lemon flavor. The biggest kicker for us was being told that the restaurant no longer provided straws for our drinks then seeing the woman at the table across from us ask for a straw and receive one right away.
My friends and I regularly attend brunch in the DMV and this is the first place we have been to that we probably will never go back to again. At least not for brunch, maybe.
Late evening meal at the bar was outstanding. Blackbean burger was the best I have had, and the service was excellent. Sunday brunch was delicious. As a single diner I felt a bit overlooked at times, but the service was acceptable. Definitely recommend it for the food and atmosphere.
Atmosphere, service, wine list and food were terrific! The salmon was amazing
Really meat heavy menu. Needs more seafood. Please bring back the shrimp and grits.
Our server wasn’t paying attention regarding our order. I asked for a cappuccino and we got two. Also had to ask twice for the dessert menu. Just have a better attention to detail.
Food was delicious!! Waiter was very helpful and nice. Would definitely dine here again when in the area.
We went for Sunday Brunch and the food was awful. The staff was great and the restaurant itself was what you’d find in your typical three star hotel. Between the soggy fried chicken and waffles, overdone turkey and stale desserts I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’m not a picky eater and think you’d be better off getting a brunch from a chain restaurant instead of eating here. The best thing we had was a bottle of champagne and our server was outstanding. I don’t mind spending money on good food but the $185 for two was certainly not worth the price.
Good food and a nice atmosphere. Recommend the duck breast. We were traveling with our dogs so we were interested in patio seating. They did not yet have the patio open(it snowed the week before) but the lobby is dog friendly and has some nice lounge tables where we were able to have dinner. Service was very attentive and paced well. Nice wine list as well with a range of selections.
Carta original pero calidad normal. Ambiente agradable.
Always good food. Yum
A friend and I were getting together for dinner and I’ve heard good things about this place. From the look of the menu we were going to cancel our reservation and just go to our “go-to” Del Friscos. We are glad we ended up eating here instead, and want to go back! It’s in a hotel so we waited about 10 minutes for the valet to get it together(they had some event going on in the hotel at the time, so we gave them a break). It took a minute for our server to come over, but we were greeted by a nice gentleman, I’m assuming the manager because he was helping run food, get drinks, etc. They gave food/drink recommendations and we loved everything! We were too stuffed for dessert but we want to go back for that. We started with the crab deviled eggs, which we had zero complaints about! I had the fried chicken thighs with the curried greens and a side of the 6 cheese Mac and cheese! It was amazing!! My friend had the pork chop and black eyed peas which was equally as delicious! Definitely recommend you coming here for either food or drinks...I had the Miami heat margarita all night😬
Excellent dinner! Amazing short ribs, branzino, Brussels sprouts, creamy buttermilk potatoes; delicious desserts; great service!
The brazino was delicious. Very fresh and unique ! Our children loved the fried chicken thighs.
Food was good as was the service but the music was really loud and distracting for a business lunch.
This restaurant is old and tired. The faux-leather chairs are peeling and the decor is dated. The menu has few choices and the food is grossly overpriced. While I was not staying in the hotel which houses this restaurant, I have stayed there before, so this was not my first meal at Art and Soul. Something has gone wrong and they have let things slide – a lot. I would say, on a singular positive note, the waitress was very helpful and the food was delivered in short order.
It was great! The staff was excellent and the food was delicious!
food was great however service was slow. the waiter seemed to forget about us several times.
We had Mountville different serves over our lunch. They brought me the wrong order, I ordered eggs Benedict and they brought me shrimp and grits. Then our check was incorrect.
Had a great meal once again! Salmon was excellent as was the mushroom soup. Great wine selection.
We were seated quickly. The staff was attentive but not obtrusive. Food was amazing. Its my second time there and I’d go again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend for friends and business meeting.
Good food and thanks for altering your menu to fit the needs of my godson, who is a strict vegetarian. The burgers are good as well (a friend ate that) and I loved the vegetable quiche. My only complaint -- the fries were seasoned well but cold!
For the price I was expecting the food to be better. Not as good as bistro bis around the corner.
Nothing to write home about. Average.
Service was very slow. Table next to us was seated 10 minutes after us, but receive their food 20 minutes before we did.
Nice inventive menu and always reliable. Prices reasonable.
Welcoming pleasant hostess.
I go annually and was very disappointed.
Outstanding. We decided on this location to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary with another special couple in our lives. We all were comfortable and enjoyed ourselves. The brunch changed since we were there last but we were told things changed when the management changed. The menu changed but the taste and service maintained their high standard. For the first time in my life I tried the chicken and waffles. Wow. The waffles were fluffy and quiet tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service. This was our 3rd visit and it will remain in our rotation.
The food and service were extraordinary. Patricia, our waitress, made us feel like VIPs. This is a hidden gem in DC.
Good food and interesting menu. Can be a bit noisy.
Art and Soul is a great spot for various dinner occasions. Our waiter was attentive and gave us time to be with our friends. Food was interesting and delish. You should check it out.
A quiet pre Super Bowl brunch at my home away from home in DC. The Chicken and waffles was just what the doctor ordered on a rainy Sunday. Delicious! My guest thoroughly enjoyed the Corned Beef Hash Benedict. Flavors were amazing! The service was great. Adrian was our main server but the staff worked as a team to ensure our experience was delightful. Can't wait to get back for another visit!
Did not enjoy food from brunch menu... shrimp was not clean... quiche was more like a salad with a side of quiche
Our waiter got our food wrong twice.
Food was tasty, but some of the staff were not especially hospitable and the service was incredibly slow. We had to ask for place settings and not all the diners received the items they requested. And almost $5 for a cup of drip coffee that was never refilled?
Food and presentation of the food was really good. Very tasty. Interesting twist on citrus pound came and ginger sorbet. Pleasant surprise and absolutely delicious!
Three of us went to Arts & Soul for Sunday lunch. We all had different options of the Restaurant Week menu. The food was OK, deserts better than sour food. But service was bad. Inattentive, slow, distant. The place is well lighted for brunch/lunch, and the athmosphere really nice. I am giving the benefit of the doubt and will come back soon.
