   Booked an outside table. Upon checkin was told they do not have any outside seating, ever. Sat down at 10:35. Was asked to quickly order because the kitchen was closing for breakfast. We said no worries, we can just order lunch. We were told we could not order lunch because lunch did not start until after 11pm. Breakfast food was basic, nothing to write about. Overall not a good experience.

   We had eaten at Art and Soul in a couple of DC visits, but it had been a few years. The first thing we noticed was that the hotel had a new name. Walking in, we saw a completely different design for the lobby and the restaurant. But it was much more spacious and welcoming. The hostess was delightful! We mentioned that it had changed, but she assured us that the food had not changed. And she was so right! Everything was delicious, with large portions at reasonable prices.

   Very disappointed in the portion size of the yogurt. When ordering the Greek yogurt brunch meal I was excited it was nonfat and not sweetened and came with fresh fruit. What was very disappointing was the portion of the yogurt my girlfriend and I had to order a side of yogurt in addition to the regular meal,which is their parfait size. My assumption is maybe a 1/4 of yogurt. I wouldn’t put that as a main brunch entree it wasn’t enough to fill you up. Service was friendly but definitely a hotel restaurant.

   Awful, given worst table in the restaurant even when others were available. One persons food never arrived. Manager only said they had an issue with a table outside, not what that has to do with my chicken sandwich never being made. Also we’re out of my first two choices, but not informed until we were ordering.

    Outstanding dining only a 10-minute walk from the Capitol. Limited but quality wine list. Exciting cocktail selection. Our meals were expertly prepared and presented (including the swordfish which is typically a challenge to get right--chef nailed it . . . it was perfect). Service was excellent and discreet.

    Very good service by Jada. She brought water and orders quickly, and was understanding when one of the entrees fell short of expectations. Recommend the eggs Benedict served on a fresh biscuit with mixed greens as a side. The fried chicken sandwich was a disappointment-Jada warned us that it is made with dark meat. My guest thought it was soggy and sent it back and ordered the eggs Benedict too.

    It was a lovely evening to dine outside on their shady patio. Service (especially from the bar) was slow. But the servers were nice, and the food was fine.

    Easter Sunday so the restaurant was a little busy. However the only great thing about this place is the ambiance. The food was not good AT ALL! Chicken and waffles were BLAH! It sucks because the service was good. Our waiter was really nice but the food just was not hitting.

    Hostess and Server was super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Love that I was able to substitute of my meal. So good that I went back there for the same meal the next day. Wish I was able to take advantage of Happy Hour at the table.

    The best bacon ever. We were a table of 14, but could only reserve two tables of 7, then couldn't reach anyone to confirm if we could have 14 people together. When we arrived, we expected two tables split up, but we were so happy to discover they had accommodated all 14 of us at the same table. At first the service seemed a little disorganized, but it turned out great. Highly recommend.

    The food was phenomenal and a nice brunch selection. However it’s very cold if you sit in the front half of the restaurant. The have a beautiful patio, but the doors do not seal and terrible drafts come in. In winter, request the back half of the indoor seating area!

    Last night was phenomenal! Each course was delicious and carefully paired together. Our anniversary was more than what we expected! Chef David Chives introduced himself and presented his Hamachi Crudo as our last course! What a way to end our incredible night of celebration!

    The food was amazing- tastiest meal I’ve had in a long time. I have a dairy allergy but the chef discussed the menu so I knew what my options were. I had the pear quince salad- sooo good. Then I had the duck confit for the entree- again, excellent. Thank you to Art and Soul for restoring my confidence about dining out with such an allergy!

    Very good experience as expected. Each time we’ve gone the food has been good as well as the drinks. The menu is not overwhelming with choices, but covers all the bases. From vegetarian to meats (chicken, beef and fish options) there is something for everyone. We altered a few menu items and our food was delivered as ordered and prepared well. Our drinks were off menu and hit all the right notes.
