Art and Soul exudes true warmth and hospitality. Great menu, food was excellent! Service was good, except when time for check, waitress was very busy. Another server stepped in to help since my luncheon was for business purpose.

Not as good quality. They used to have homemade scones as bread but no longer. Chicken quality wasn't as good as before. It's like there was a change in chef and you can feel the difference.

A great spot for brunch/lunch dinner close to familiar spots in DC - US Capitol building, Union Station, north of the Mall. Excellent food and drink choices.

I booked this restaurant since it was close to the hotel where my clients were staying. We were seated promptly. The staff were very pleasant and made sure we got our drinks in a timely manner. It took a while for our server to get our food orders, but he was helpful with what turned out to be sound advice about the menu. The food arrived in a reasonable time and was delicious. We each had different appetizers (salads, mostly) and our entrees ranged from pork chops to salmon to shrimp and grits. I had the trout and it, like all the other entrees, was excellent. The cornbread, which we had asked to come early on, instead came after the entrees were served. It was not as tasty as any of us had hoped. More importantly, it was barely warm. That was the only down note to the meal. It took a long while for anyone to ask whether we wanted desert (we didn't), but our check was brought promptly upon request. Bottom line: Very good food; somewhat spotty service which seemed to be caused by there being too few staff for the number of diners.
