Art and Soul

Art and Soul exudes true warmth and hospitality. Playful regional elements such as hand-painted farm signs and traditional folk art are also used throughout the space in honor of the D.C. restaurants regional influences. In warmer weather, an expansive front patio provides an al fresco dining option with a fire-pit and grill.
Terrific menu selection, tastes, small lates & entres, and presentation. The deserts are also highly recommended.
The outside patio looks like it will be a nice place to eat once the weather gets warmer.
Loved this! Thank you for having oat milk and putting an egg on my avocado toast!
Lovely meal! Wish water had known a little more about the drink menu.
Very good as always! Been eating here for years with a great client. Fried Chicken fantastic
This is one of our favorite DC restaurant. We always stop here when we’re in town.
My girlfriend had an allergy attack from the food because they don’t label anything on the menu nor warn customers of dietary restrictions.
Overpriced and underwhelming. Very small portions and marginal service. Incredibly loud and difficult to hold a conversation. Wine was very good, but I ordered a beer! The only plus was the location as our group was staying at the hotel.
The restaurant is not as good as it use to be. All night it felt and tasted like something was off or maybe the spring/summer menu is better.
We went to Art and Soul for a business lunch. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly on arriving the at the restaurant. The tables are well spaced allowing for private discussion and low noise. The menu is diverse and gives plenty of options and the food is delicious and well priced.
Great place to have brunch near Union Station. Food was excellent and you could have a nice QUIET conversation.
Definitely not worth the hype. Limited options - almost all meals had either chorizo or andouille so if you’re not a sausage fan you’re out of luck.
My husband and I are trying a vegan diet but it is hard to find healthy delicious food. We had brunch here and it was AMAZING best kale quinoa salad ive ever had, heirloom beets pistachio nuts sesame yummy. We also had lemon pancakes - light and fluffy. Service was friendly and stellar! They of course have other great looking options for meat eaters but with such great meatfree options we didnt feel wistful one bit! Thank you!
The food options wasn’t as great as when the restaurant first opened. Won’t be returning.
The meal was fantastic and so was the waiter! Only issue I had was with the ambiance, the lights in the restaurant were too bright from our table and we wished we were seated on the back wall where they would not have been directly shining in our eyes
Food was outstanding. Had reservations for Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was crowded but we were treated very nicely. Not Rushed at all. I will be back!
For the prices, the food didn’t wow me like I thought it would.
This was one of the best dining experiences my husband and I have had in a very long time. I can’t wait until we go back to D.C. to enjoy another meal there.
Wonderful spot for lunch. Interesting menu. Excellent service.
Tasty meal. Small portion for the price, not a great value. Fresh salmon with garden vegetables
I was there for 3 nights and ate two dinners there ! It was delicious!!
Bathrooms had no soap. Appetizers were bland (ordered the deviled eggs). Drinks and ambience were great but overall a disappointing date night. We left and went to Founding Farmers.
Glad it was a Sunday as volume was manageable. Typical awesome service and food!
It was easy to get in and out of this restaurant since they have valet parking. The service was very good, the meal was very good and I would come back to try something else on the menu.
I've been going to Art and Soul for years. It's nice to go to a restaurant where I am greeted warmly and always receive the best possible service. Yesterday, I chose a menu item and asked for a slight modification. They were able to easily accommodate the change.
I travel to DC annually, and Art and Soul is always a must for dinner at least once each trip. The food is delectable, the drinks are fantastic, and the service is stellar.
The food was great, spot on per our orders, service was attentive, not rushed and very friendly. Bar program is great, good selection of spirits for craft cocktails and good menu cocktails as well. I highly recommend Art & Soul!
Was there for brunch at 2 pm one Sunday. Overall the food was very good and well presented. However, they were out of the hamburger which is a first for my 30 plus years of dining. The espresso coffee at the end was terrible -- it tasted like molasses at best..
I am still dreaming of the food. It was stupendous.
Very dog friendly, great service and food.
Limited menu. Loud meeting in adjacent room No straws. A paper one would have been sufficient
Went at end of night on a rainy quiet night. Server/bar tender went above and beyond to take good care of us before kitchen closed. Food was excellent and nicely plated even at end of their day.
This restaurant has been on our must-dine list for awhile and we finally made it. Wow! The experience was outstanding. Our dishes were amazing but the treat was our personal waiter Vernon. He alone is the reason my wife and I will add this restaurant to our top-5 and return very soon.
Great service and location. Servers were superb. Highly recommend for events and super meal!
The food wasn’t great but the service was good and it was empty so although I wound the go back, my friends and I had a good time.
Great cozy spot. Food is good. Staff is extremely friendly and patient even funny. Flexible in regard to food allergies too. All was great,
The ambiance and service of the waiters was exceptional. The food was just good. Each entree had an interesting pairing. The duck was paired with smoked (very Smokey) apples and potatoes whereas the steak was paired with avocado, mushrooms, and sweet potatoes. The lobster deviled eggs were pretty interesting too. It had more of a Mexican flavor with the lobster mixed with cilantro, red onions, and lime juice (lobster salsa).
Visiting DC recently a friend recommended Art&Soul for dining. We were able to get a reservation easily. The staff was very attentive. I had the Shrimp and Grits which were excellent! (Would have loved a little more in the bowl, yummy!)
Perfect martini. Tasty pate and warm bread. Awesome chicken. Great service. I’ll definitely be back.
We went to Art & Soul for a business meeting. The service and food were wonderful.
