The waiter was excellent!!!
Arroz is by far one of my favorite restaurants in DC. The food is AMAZING., The cocktails are superb. The atmosphere & the staff are all amazing. Perfect for date night, a special occasion, pretty much anything. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
The Bomba rice and rose sangria were amazing! About the same price that you would pay for a nice brunch anywhere else in DC.
A memorable and delicious night. Couldn’t pick a favorite dish as everything we ordered was simply exceptional.
One of the best meals and dining experiences we’ve ever had; Melvin was a tremendous help in navigating a great selection of choices
Very small portions on the small plates and overpriced for what you get. I was still hungry after 5 small plates and one large plate shared among 4 people. The only dish I really liked was the vegetable bamba rice (at least the rice is good considering the name of the restaurant). The small plate dishes were unremarkable considering how much you were paying for them. $24 for a tiny piece of octopus and $16 for six small potato cubes is crazy.
Food was great, as always. Waiter was not as good as we usually get. I asked about spicyness of a dish, he assured me it wasn't. It was!
He didn't bring refills of water, left us waiting to get our check. Didn't seem to care about his service with us
Otherwise, great food, great flavors
The food was excellent, but the service was average. Waited longer than expected for someone to come to the table and to get coffee.
It took way too long for the food and drinks to come out. Our server was awesome
The food is simply fantastic. Great selection of wines.
Brought some clients- we were all attending a conference in the hotel. Everything was amazing, especially our waiter, David, who not only helped us select the perfect assortment of plates to share but provided exquisite descriptions of each one at the time we ordered them as well as when they were served to our table. Thanks for making me look good in front of my clients!
Enjoyed my seafood arroz and Rose Tempranillo provided by David the waiter. Great food and ambiance.i was late because It was raining hard outside but it was well worth it. I'll be back
My family and I got together for a Mother's Day dinner. Our waiter Raiss was extremely helpful and patient with our questions. We enjoyed the patata bravas, burnt eggplant, cauliflower, and bone marrow for appetizers. Delicious veggie bamba baked rice and incredible fried donuts for dessert.
I wasn't impressed with the total experience of Arroz. We went for mother's day brunch and were seated in a private room. The food was very good but not "WOW". Being in a hotel you are going to pay more than it's worth.
Not much impressed with food. Very few brunch choices and eggs were dry. Drinks were watered down. Too pricy for the quality
Great food! Server was very good at first, but started slowing down after ordering.
This was my second visit to Arroz. It was the same as the first, EXCELLENT! Food, service, wine, location, atmosphere, excellent.
I loved everything about this restaurant. The food was amazing, the wait staff great, and the overall ambience was the best. I will definitely be back.
It was a quiet Saturday brunch. All was excellent—food, drinks, service. The restaurant is beautifully designed. I can’t wait to go back for dinner!
Great Service. Marvin was our Waiter. He did a great job explaining dishes and giving recommendations. Creative cocktails. Did family style dining with two friends. Beautiful interior design and ambiance.
Awesome creativity. Foods with flavors you will remember and probably not find anywhere else. Friendly staff and most especially the GM. They graciously opened the wine I selected 1 hour before we arrived which enhanced the dining experience. The only thing I dont like is the noise level can get high.
The food was delicious. We sat outside on the patio and had the price fix lunch. The chicken sandwich was a highlight for me. The “little gem” salad was both beautiful and delicious.
Delicious lunch menu!
very good drink and food. service was excellent also.
Food was delicious. We had several appetizers, small plates, and the Moroccan pancakes. Everything was delicious, presentation was beautiful, and portions were reasonable. It's a bit pricy, as you would expect, so I recommend this for special occasions.
The food is delicious but the restaurant is just too loud. This was our second time at Arroz and I'll be hard-pressed to go back since you literally have to scream to hear your tablemates.
The restaurant was terrific! Our waiter was Michael I think? He was very knowledgeable about all of the dishes and the wine and cocktail menu. Per his recommendation, we had the burnt eggplant and the fried cauliflower and the seafood Bomba rice… They were all excellent. If I had to do it over again I would’ve stuck with more of the small plates and a few of their larger plates rather than ordering the Bomba rice… It was very good… but it’s a lot for two people and I would’ve preferred to sample a bunch of dishes... We also had cocktails: The dacquiri was unique and very good… I had a bourbon drink… I can’t remember the name… But it was a sort of Tiki drink and it was also really good… Had white wine with dinner… It was Portuguese… Verdelho Herdade do esporao alentajo? It was terrific…. The place is expensive, but I thought they delivered pretty well.
I chose Arroz based on Yelp reviews (I don't live in DC) because it looked like a good choice for groups. I brought a group of eight work colleagues for dinner. Our waiter was super helpful in selecting dishes that were good for sharing and making sure we had enough food. He also helped by making great wine recommendations. The food was delicious. The waitstaff made sure out water glasses were full and that we had what we needed without being intrusive. We had a bunch of the small plates (octopus, eggplant, asparagus, prawns, lamb) and then a couple of the large rice dishes.
Perfecto. Tanto la comida como la atención fueron impecables. Gracias
Hosted my birthday dinner here with 6 friends and had a fantastic time. The drinks and the food were outstanding. My only complaint was that the main large dish was brought out last, this could have been better coordinated with the side dishes. Other than than that, the plates were well balanced and savory. I would definitely recommend!
Small plates were good. Bomba was highly overpriced and not worth it
The food is terrific. The service is okay. Went with my boys to celebrate 16th birthday. They said happy birthday but did nothing special for them. Service also a bit slow and less attentive.
Delicious, creative food presented elegantly. Service was perfect.
We had a great first meal at Arroz. Michael was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable without being pushy. As a gin and tonic lover, I was delighted to find they have a HUGE selection of gins to choose from and also enjoyed trying their house G&T’s. We loved the small booth that we were seated in and everything about the meal was wonderful.
It was my partner's birthday. But there was nothing to mention the occasion. With a price tag like that one would think they would pay attention to these details.
We had such a great time at Arroz! The quality of the food was fantastic and it was all delicious! We loved the steak and the burnt eggplant. I can't have gluten or dairy and the chef was very accommodating. Plus our server was extremely knowledgable about what I could and could not have. In addition, we enjoyed SUPER delicious wine! We can't wait to go back and try the bomba rice!
Our waitress was incredible. Can't remember her name although she was from Peru.
Parking is excessive though. $20 to park and it was validated.
The food is innovative, well presented and tasty. However it was difficult to understand from the menu what exactly you we're ordering. The service was excellent. Efficient, attentive but not overbearing. The only really negative aspect was the noise level . In all fairness it might have been due to the fact that we sat next to a big table with a lot of young people who obviously had a great time but completely oblivious to the noise they were making. As a result everybody else had to raise their voice in order to be heard.
Not the best value for a fine dining experience. The food was good, not great and the prices are very high. The cocktails and wine, however, were very well done. I’d recommend going for a drink but skipping dinner. You’re better off at Barcelona or Jaleo for a good Spanish meal.
