We had a wonderful lunch with wonderful food. Kensy was our server and she was great!
Stormy is a doll and we love seeing her.
As always, there's never a bad meal to be had here. The farm is an amazing sight to see and adds to the total experience. On the flip side, the menu has decreased in size tremendously. This may be due to the current viral problems we are seeing. However, many of the great items that were on the menu have been replaced with lesser, easier to prepare items. Hopefully in the near future we will have the premium menu back.
It was a really enjoyable evening with good food and service. Only minor complaint would be the noise coming from upstairs. Sounded like people were pounding pool cues in the floor
Although I have been to Arrington many times, this was my first with the all new menu. I must begin with saying I have been fairly disgruntled since November about the new chef doing away with the old bread that was served previously and replacing it with cornbread muffins. So I went in looking for reasons to gripe! That being said, I found nothing at all to complain about...except they are still serving those horrible cornbread muffins! Now that is out of the way... The new gumbo is great, the baked oysters are to die for, the salmon was amazing and the Triple Seared Tenderloin of Beef has got to be the best cut of beef I have ever been served. I have always loved the Arrington and I am impressed with the changes so far. Hopefully we can get away from the cornbread muffins soon!
My wife and were there for Valentine's day. Everything was excellent! Service, food and drinks were definitely worth a five star rating. The only thing that we didn't care for was that a large party next to us had ordered a huge bottle of champagne. It seemed like the female members of the party consumed it all! One in particular was particularly obnoxious. Other than that party being overserved and my wife and I enduring their indulgence it was great.
We enjoyed our first visit to Purcell Farms and dinner at Arrington. Food was very good but not outstanding. We had 6 pm reservations and very few diners were there yet it took an uncomfortable amount of time for our appetizers to arrive and before we finished, our salads were served. Both our entrees were very good as well as our wine. Prices are on the high side. Service and employees were very personable. Would now like to try the Pub for lunch and view the grounds in the day time.
There were two other tables in the entire restaurant that had guests when we arrived and throughout our meal. However, we waited for 20 minutes before the server finally took our orders, and another 15 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered a steak medium rare and it came back well done. Fearful that it would take forever to get the steak re-cooked, I said I would just eat it. However, the server insisted on taking my entire plate back to the kitchen, so I then had to wait another 20 minutes for them to re-cook my steak while everyone else at my table finished their meal. The steak then came back raw on the inside. Rather than send it back a second time (by then my entire party was done eating), I just simply ate a cool, raw steak. At a minimum, they should have offered to comp my steak, given their inability to cook it properly. The taste and seasonings were good, but the service and actual food prep was poor. I would’ve understood more if they were slammed and the kitchen was backed up, but there were only 3 tables with guests - the place was virtually empty!
the food is at most times is outstanding, but it was very poor this time
And again, another fine meal from the folks at Pursell. I've said it before, and I will say it again. There isn't a bad meal to be had here!!! This night was for my fathers birthday and Miss Darlene made this night even more special for him. Thank you again to the amazing staff for making every trip special!
Absolutely amazing evening! From the beautiful table overlooking the grounds, to the delicious food and drinks, this was a fabulous place to dine! This was a special occasion, celebrating 3 birthdays, and it could not have been better! Will definitely go back.
food and service were top notched. the staff was extremely friendly and on spot
Of the many Fine restaurants that I frequent, this is by far my fave, with Springhouse coming in at a close second. I have never had a meal here that was ever shy of fabulous. The menu is short and simple. The service is top notch. The venue will take your breath!!! Do yourself a favor and make this your next date night. You can thank me later!
