Ordered vegetarian- there ‘Michelin’ kaitafii mushroom, butternut squash kofte, Corn Paddu! All three dishes were very bad, mushroom was burnt and surrounded by excess of dried noodles, corn paddu was way too oily and kofte was excessively sweet. It is perfectly fine to innovate with Indian cuisine but not at the cost of flavors.

Service and food were excellent. Sebastian was experienced and attentive, helped us discern various heat levels on dishes as we were a spice-divergent group. My only observation was that the food portions were smaller than your average good Indian restaurant, so it was a little bit of a higher price point when we all were satisfied. Also, we went early so the restaurant was pretty empty, but they seated a party of three right next to our part of four when it could have been spaced out for additional quiet and privacy. All that said, it was a wonderful dinner and we would all go back.

Really delicious! They have a Michelin awarded plate but in my opinion they should have Bibby (Bib gourmand). Be careful when they ask you on spice level!

This was my second visit in the last couple of weeks. It was a great place to celebrate my parents' anniversary. The food was exquisite, and the servers and manager were all sweet. We enjoyed ourselves and look forward to going back in the near future!

We were two local Seniors who were immediately seated in the removed back area instead of the more aesthetically pleasing front of the restaurant. Unsure why but was told the seating had to do with the reservation. Ageist some?

Outstanding, different Indian food but pricey. Since there were only 2 of us & we like to try a variety of dishes, it was great to be able to order small plates. They made it easy to order some initially & then add some more later. Everything was delicious. Dessert, though, was tasty but somewhat ordinary considering the originality of the other dishes. Expensive but we thought it was worth it.

My friend and I had an excellent dining experience! The service was top notch, as always, and our server was very sweet (Manelly). The food was absolutely delicious, and I never knew a dish such as butter paneer mac and cheese existed! I already have a reservation to return in a couple of weeks for Mother's Day. This was our first time visit to aRoqa and I would say it was the best decision. Food quality was excellent, ambience is pleasant, and service was top-notch. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a restaurant with Indian food in a different style. We ordered Butter chicken mac & cheese as one of our dishes and were surprised by the taste of it, never thought mac & cheese would taste so delicious. Their menu is pretty small which makes it easy to choose. Desserts are yummy. We have noted down this restaurant as our go to place every time we visit City.

We love the food here, but it's very expensive and service is underwhelming. Servers have recently been very pushy about tips. My last time there, the server had already included the tip. I'm not sure if I'll be coming back...

Food is modernized vs traditional Indian. Lot of dishes are a twist from original food but I suspect that is the point of ARoqa. Drinks are small but good. Value overall is low due to portions being small.

I found aRoqa on the Michelin Guide and decided to give it a try as it's so close to my office. I went for a weekday lunch with my mom and husband. To start, we shared the Kurkuri Bhel which had really nice textures from the rice puffs and lotus stem chips, but it was rather spicy! It had quite the kick. I probably would not order this again to start off my meal. We all shared the following Main Plates: Goan Shrimp Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Fenugreek Murgh. The shrimp curry was very smooth and rich, mild in flavor with four shrimps. My favorite was probably the Tikka Masala, the creamy sauce was so scrumptious. Everything came with rice, and we ordered Plain Naan on the side which comes with 4-5 pieces of bread. The service was very nice and attentive. I would come back here again for an intimate and sophisticated Indian meal.

Lunch was a very disappointing experince compared to dinner there. Was very disappointed overall—especially when we asked for 2 pieces of toast and waited a long time to get 1 piece of toast cut in half. Weird.

Enjoyed an excellent meal with friends, all of us from Vancouver, Canada. Food and service were fantastic. Our only 2 very minor issues were sitting right beside the front door and it was very chilly every time it opened. And one dish (out of many!), that we requested medium heat (5/10) was very hot, more like 7 or 8. We will be back!

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in all of NYC. The food is incredible, the drinks are exquisite and the service is excellent.
