We are always looking for live music and fun atmosphere and Arnold’s was totally perfect!!!
Great live music, wonderful service, delicious drinks and food!
Historical. Check out the bathtub in one of the upstairs dining rooms.
Another amazing date night at Arnold’s. We sat outside this time, but love both experiences! Food and service were amazing as always.
Stopped in with a client for the chicken (really Cauliflower) sandwich. It was absolutely amazing paired with the potato salad and a side of fries. Definitely beyond worth the stop!
Chris helped us secure an excellent table (close to the piano player) for the Arnold's Bar and Grill prohibition-era speakeasy party on Saturday during Valentine's Day weekend. It was great fun getting all dressed-up and enjoying the wonderful food and Knob Creek specialty cocktails! We all truly appreciated the brief moment of 'escape' from our current pandemic reality.
This was a wonderful event. It really felt like the 1920’s and we loved it! The entertainer was amazing, played well and even gave us history lessons along the way. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating to the staff is because we were never given any waters aaa others were upon being seated and we had to wait a bit before someone came to take our initial order but after that it was very smooth and expedient. We loved it so much that we definitely plan to visit again soon!
Let me start off by saying we love Arnold's. We have attended many events including New Years Eve. Arnold's did explain they would not garrantee we would be in front of the music but I didn't realize we would be upstairs. In addition we literally were seated in part of the restroom..... customers had to use a separate commode closet and then walk into the back of our room to was their hand in the sink...located in our room! Service was very slow due to them over booking. The food was also not up to par. We definitely won't attend another event unless we can reserve a table near the band.
We came in for the Valentines dinner and it was exceptional. The food, ambiance, and service were all perfect!
The oldest saloon in Cincinnati and a classic. Owners, Chris and Bethany, have continued the legacy of bringing great atmosphere, entertainment and dining together. While serving up their customer favorites, such as the Greek spaghetti, Chef Kayla manages to keep the menu fresh with new creations that keep us coming back for more. The spirits are also inventive and loyal to the Greater Cincinnati region, in true prohibition fashion, that has made Arnold’s a Cincinnati tradition.
Fantastic Valentines experience with the restaurant transformed into a Prohibition Era Speakeasy. My girlfriend and I dressed up like it was the roaring twenties and had a great time. The food was incredible and the staff really helped to make it into a memorable experience.
We had a party of 6 for Valentines dinner. We had several people in our party that travel extensively and eat at many top tier restaurants so I was curious about their thoughts. Answer was ; we could not have asked for a better service, meal, and atmosphere during a very busy time for Arnold's staff. The history brings you to Arnold's; but the staff brings you back. Keep it up!
Love coming here!
Valentines night, one day early. All staff were dressed for a speakeasy — as were many customers. Piano player matched the ambiance.. Staff is always great. Special menu was great. Super evening!
I really love the nostalgia of Arnolds (had my 1st date with my wife there). But at some point, the upstairs really does need a coat of paint and some 'fixing'. really.
They were busy so we sat upstairs. They offered to move us downstairs mid meal. It was our first time there. Didn’t realize they had music or I would have made the switch. But all in all was good experience. Kendall was very attentive to us. Loved the Greek pasta deluxe
Food was fair service bad-noise level was very loud and music was poor to awful
We had an awesome date night!!! Arnold’s has an amazing whiskey selection, the wine was great, and the pb&j wings are to die for!! Our server was attentive, friendly, and did a great job communicating. We can’t wait to go back!
We have been here many many times. We understand why prices have gone up and menus are slimmed down. The quality of the food was not as it should have been. The spaghetti was bland and plain. We asked for more parmesan and the waiter brought it right away. I subbed French fries for an upcharge of $3.00 and got about 12 to 15 small warm fries. Service was good. Best Old Fashioned ever. Management needs to pay more attention to value. Even your longstanding reputation wont survive poor value.
We sat in the courtyard, which was heated to a very comfortable temperature. Arnold's has managed to continue having live music while maintaining good social distancing by switching to hiring solo artists, which makes it feel as close to the way things were pre-pandemic as possible.
The service was great. The cocktails were very good as well, I highly recommend the Diebold Old Fashioned, the blood-orange and earl grey infused ice cube makes it so the drink completely changes as the ice melts, which was a really neat experience.
The lamb shank pot pie was incredible. The meat was so tender that it could easily be cut with a fork, the crust was cooked to a perfect golden brown, and all of the ingredients complemented each other nicely. It is served in a very generous portion size, so come hungry!
The online website did not reflect the menu given to us otherwise we would not have went. We decided to give it a try anyway and unfortunately the food was cold when served to us.
Food was good and live music in covered outside area was lovely .
Both salmon and chicken entrees were served in bowls, which were cold to the touch. My husband’s salmon was room temperature as was my chicken. However the asparagus underneath was also cold. Asked for entree to be heated/nuked. Instead, they apparently re-did the entire entree. Took a while to get my food. Rushed due to a concert following meal. The second bowl came out so hot that it had to be carried out on another plate. They made a big deal of that. Why? Should have been presented that way initially. Wing Week so we were the only ones in the room eating pricey meals. Waitress avoided us and finally had to go in main room to inquire where my dinner was. Husband was almost completely done with his before mine came out.
Outstanding food, great drinks and live music on the patio.
Amazing! The truffle brie chicken was so delish! I have to go back for more.
Arnold's is a wonderful place to go. Try the "outdoor" area, which in January, is sealed up and heated, it's plenty warm, but it is very spacious and has a wonderful ambiance.
The food and beer are great, and the service is friendly. Prices very affordable.
Food was great service was great. The music/singer was passable at best ( she just screamed and couldn't play the piano. We love Arnolds and will be back. Cannotbeat that Greek spaghetti!
Came for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the great happy hour deals. All the entrees were amazing but the salmon was the best.
Haven't been to Arnold's in years and it was a delightful experience.
What a cool place! Great atmosphere if you’re on the courtyard. Food was incredible! I ate some things I normally wouldn’t and they blew my mind!
Very good food and service and live music, historical
Great patio with live music!
Always delicious. Very conscientious staff and service and safety come first. Love Chris and Bethany.
Seeing cousins in a safe and wonderful location.
Meghan was an excellent server and the live music was incredible! The autumn salad was delicious and filling with a delicious piece of grilled salmon on top! Loved the red sangria, a perfect fall drink!!! Owner is on hand personally overseeing your safe and great experience. Thanks so much!
Had a reservation ... came with friends after a 30 minute drive pulled up and Arnold’s was closed... called them and they told me it was due to Covid... which I completely understand but a phone call would of been helpful. I just didn’t randomly show up... I had a reservation for their inaugural Midwest Fest.... they had my number!!
I felt very comfortable dining in the garden area
Great food and live music! Courtyard is absolutely adorable. 10/10 recommend.
Other than the uncomfortable chairs and benches a great place to go!
the greek spaghetti was terrible.cold and dry...the meatloaf dinners we cod
Reserved days in advance and table was next to the speaker’s. Food was cold. Service was slow.
