Arnold's Bar and Grill
"Our Signature Dish" On the menu since 1957: Arnold's Garlic Sauce / Olives / Bacon / Linguini / Romano
Cheddar / Mayo / Shaved Lettuce / Onion
Boneless breast of chicken coated with seasoned flour and deep fried. Topped with a delightful sauce of brie, blueberries, garlic, fresh basil, and walnuts. Served with mashed potatoes and vegetable of the moment
The food was great, beer and cocktail lists are always fantastic, and the service was top notch. Would highly recommend Arnold's to anybody looking for a place to grab food & drinks in the Cincinnati area, and it's one of my favorite places to bring visitors to the Queen City.
Great food and atmosphere for the Reds Opening Day!
Opening Day for the Reds
Chicken w/Brie sauce, truffle ricotta was excellent as was the Greek spaghetti, as usual.
The PBJ wings are the best wings I've ever had! The Arnold burger was a delicious classic, and the Greek deluxe was a tasty dish as well. We will definitely be back.
Food was excellent as well as the service. The owner came over to chat and thank us for dining. I had the salmon and it was probably one of the top salmon dishes I've had at a restaurant.
Excellent food, great service, wonderful historical atmosphere. A beer list would be good so people can see what's available. We had a great time.
Arnold's is always reliable. Good food & service out in the patio with a wonderful pianist.
Arnold's never disappoints! Food, service and music was the best. Diamond Jim's music was awesome!!! Our dinner was delicious! Hats off to the chef and kitchen staff. When we come to Cincinnati a night out at Arnold's is always on our list. Thank you to everyone at Arnold's for always making a night out special.
Really great burgers
So happy Arnold's dedicated time this past weekend to the Bockfest tradition that is part of our heritage! They had 10 local bock offerings, and 1 International. Well done! Also the nachos with shredded goat were a nice touch-and delicious!
Hast du Bock?
We had a good time during the Bockfest. This was my first time there and I was glad about their safety measures in the covid era. we had the Yo mama burger and was very tasty. Cocktails were really good as well, not too sweet which is my preference. The service was really good and I loved the music selection, very different from what I listen to in a regular sports bar. I was a little disappointed about not scoring a table on the covered patio but they explained that there is no guarantee during reservation what is understandable because they are having fewer tables. I hope to come back soon
Arnold’s is an institution in Cincinnati! A must visit!
Always good food and excellent draft beer selection at Arnold’s!
Arnold’s is going to go down in history as the best of the best. Never had a bad meal or a too warm beer🍺
We celebrated Bockfest at Arnold’s. It was a memorable experience to be in this historic restaurant that annually celebrates this German Beer tradition. Food was great, Alex did a great job ensuring we were all taken care of. Chris even called to ensure I knew there was a 2 hour limit on our seats. Arnold’s did a great job making their restaurant available to multiple people by reservation only. Wish we had been on the patio to enjoy the music- the trade off of being able to hold a conversation. We will be “Bock”!
Father Tim blessed our Bock beers!! The Greek Spaghetti is amazing!
Bockfest opening ceremony
We are always looking for live music and fun atmosphere and Arnold’s was totally perfect!!!
Great live music, wonderful service, delicious drinks and food!
Historical. Check out the bathtub in one of the upstairs dining rooms.
Another amazing date night at Arnold’s. We sat outside this time, but love both experiences! Food and service were amazing as always.
Stopped in with a client for the chicken (really Cauliflower) sandwich. It was absolutely amazing paired with the potato salad and a side of fries. Definitely beyond worth the stop!
Chris helped us secure an excellent table (close to the piano player) for the Arnold's Bar and Grill prohibition-era speakeasy party on Saturday during Valentine's Day weekend. It was great fun getting all dressed-up and enjoying the wonderful food and Knob Creek specialty cocktails! We all truly appreciated the brief moment of 'escape' from our current pandemic reality.
This was a wonderful event. It really felt like the 1920’s and we loved it! The entertainer was amazing, played well and even gave us history lessons along the way. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating to the staff is because we were never given any waters aaa others were upon being seated and we had to wait a bit before someone came to take our initial order but after that it was very smooth and expedient. We loved it so much that we definitely plan to visit again soon!
Let me start off by saying we love Arnold's. We have attended many events including New Years Eve. Arnold's did explain they would not garrantee we would be in front of the music but I didn't realize we would be upstairs. In addition we literally were seated in part of the restroom..... customers had to use a separate commode closet and then walk into the back of our room to was their hand in the sink...located in our room! Service was very slow due to them over booking. The food was also not up to par. We definitely won't attend another event unless we can reserve a table near the band.
We came in for the Valentines dinner and it was exceptional. The food, ambiance, and service were all perfect!
The oldest saloon in Cincinnati and a classic. Owners, Chris and Bethany, have continued the legacy of bringing great atmosphere, entertainment and dining together. While serving up their customer favorites, such as the Greek spaghetti, Chef Kayla manages to keep the menu fresh with new creations that keep us coming back for more. The spirits are also inventive and loyal to the Greater Cincinnati region, in true prohibition fashion, that has made Arnold’s a Cincinnati tradition.
Fantastic Valentines experience with the restaurant transformed into a Prohibition Era Speakeasy. My girlfriend and I dressed up like it was the roaring twenties and had a great time. The food was incredible and the staff really helped to make it into a memorable experience.
We had a party of 6 for Valentines dinner. We had several people in our party that travel extensively and eat at many top tier restaurants so I was curious about their thoughts. Answer was ; we could not have asked for a better service, meal, and atmosphere during a very busy time for Arnold's staff. The history brings you to Arnold's; but the staff brings you back. Keep it up!
Love coming here!
Valentines night, one day early. All staff were dressed for a speakeasy — as were many customers. Piano player matched the ambiance.. Staff is always great. Special menu was great. Super evening!
I really love the nostalgia of Arnolds (had my 1st date with my wife there). But at some point, the upstairs really does need a coat of paint and some 'fixing'. really.
They were busy so we sat upstairs. They offered to move us downstairs mid meal. It was our first time there. Didn’t realize they had music or I would have made the switch. But all in all was good experience. Kendall was very attentive to us. Loved the Greek pasta deluxe
Food was fair service bad-noise level was very loud and music was poor to awful
We had an awesome date night!!! Arnold’s has an amazing whiskey selection, the wine was great, and the pb&j wings are to die for!! Our server was attentive, friendly, and did a great job communicating. We can’t wait to go back!
We have been here many many times. We understand why prices have gone up and menus are slimmed down. The quality of the food was not as it should have been. The spaghetti was bland and plain. We asked for more parmesan and the waiter brought it right away. I subbed French fries for an upcharge of $3.00 and got about 12 to 15 small warm fries. Service was good. Best Old Fashioned ever. Management needs to pay more attention to value. Even your longstanding reputation wont survive poor value.
We sat in the courtyard, which was heated to a very comfortable temperature. Arnold's has managed to continue having live music while maintaining good social distancing by switching to hiring solo artists, which makes it feel as close to the way things were pre-pandemic as possible.
The service was great. The cocktails were very good as well, I highly recommend the Diebold Old Fashioned, the blood-orange and earl grey infused ice cube makes it so the drink completely changes as the ice melts, which was a really neat experience.
The lamb shank pot pie was incredible. The meat was so tender that it could easily be cut with a fork, the crust was cooked to a perfect golden brown, and all of the ingredients complemented each other nicely. It is served in a very generous portion size, so come hungry!
The online website did not reflect the menu given to us otherwise we would not have went. We decided to give it a try anyway and unfortunately the food was cold when served to us.
Came for a casual date night and it was great! Loved our food and the live music
Food was good and live music in covered outside area was lovely .
