Although we mentioned there was a Birthday celebration on Open Table as well as at the restaurant when we checked in the restaurant didn’t provide anything to our table. When I tried to get the manager’s attention I couldn’t. He spent 20 minutes talking up a table with 4 young women. Disappointing way to end a nice dinner.
We really like our neighborhood Morton's. The steaks are great and martinis are always cold. Yes, the food is pricey but every once in a while it's a great treat. Creamed spinach is not to be missed.
Overall great food, service was lacking, $700 for 4 people I wouldn’t have to ask a busboy for a waitress because we were deserted between courses, won’t be rushing back
Loved our visit as always.Food and service was great❤️
Best shrimp cocktail. My beef is with the content of the drinks. You definitely do NOT receive a good pour. For what we pay for drinks the pour should be generous.
Food was excellent! Service was perfect. We had a great time!
Very nice old school steak house atmosphere. The service is really good and the food is delicious. A tad bit pricy but won't be disappointed if you decide to splurge.
Really good for happy hour.
Superior service- Jayme was our server and she would glance at me whenever she went by- not intrusive but attentive. She has a smile that lights up the room and made us feel like we were her only guests.
Very nice place. Excellent steaks but just not worth the money unless you are on an expense account or are wealthy. As a special occasion event dinner it’s just not special enough either.
The service and food could not have been better.
Food was sub par compared to the price.
Server was slow.
Kids running around screaming.
I would not recommend this place nor will I be returning.
excellent food, we were seated right away, wine list was excellent. service was good but wish our waiter would have told us if interested to order the Souffle early it takes 40 minutes and we could not wait we had plans. We really wanted that dessert.
Delicious food! Great way to end a night.
Came here for Valentines day around 9 PM. Expected to have delays because its a busy day. Bf ordered 14 oz bone in steak medium rare and it was overcooked. I ordered 6 oz filet medium rare and it was perfect. Waited a while for waiter to come back around so bf can send back steak, we hate doing that but there was no way he could eat that for what hes paying. Waiter was great, sends back steak, brings new steak 15 minutes later. It was medium rare but parts were still cold. At this point, bf is hungry, its almost 10:30, he eats the steak. We ordered lobster, that was awesome. Ordered lobster mac and cheese and that was so-so. Ordered lobster bisque, bf thought it was great, i thought it was bland. All in all, would probably not come back if Ruths or Mastros had openings. Wasnt an extraordinary experience and nothing to write home about.
Everything was good, but I believe it’s too expensive. I have had same quality of food a lot less expensive.
Morton’s is consistently good. Steaks are prepared as ordered, and their fresh bread is terrific. Baked potato is HUGE, so plan to share. I enjoyed the chop salad and my husband was very pleased with the crab cakes.
Food was great as usual but service was a bit slower than normal.
Have been there so many times such a great experience. The gold pineapple drink as well as the winter sangria were amazing. This was hopefully an off night for them. For the almost $500 dinner, poor service. Waiter got the order wrong. Left off a soup. One salad was wrong. Steak was a bit over cooked. Cream spinach was cold.waiter did not ask if we wanted another drink. No one came to fill our water glasses again until the dishes were cleared. Again hope this was just an off night.
While the overall experience was positive, I thought the service was the worst I had ever received there. Brought a bottle from my cellar and bought a bottle of sparkling wine there. Other than kindly decanting the bottle and the first pour of the sparkling, the rest of the wine during the entire meal was poured by me.
As usual, an enjoyable experience with good friends and yummy food and excellent wine.
Horrible food and horrible service today
very good steakhouse in all respects; I wish they would have a choice of sauces with the steak. My filet was served plain and I used A1 sauce to give it more flavor.
We went for Dine LA restaurant week. Very nice lunch menu with appetizer, entree and dessert. The baked onion soup was excellent and the rib eye was very good albeit a bit fatty. All in all it was a great lunch.
Apathetic service by a waiter who seemed as if he would have rather not been there. Three times dishes were served to the incorrect diner. Steaks had to be returned to be cooked as per our order. Side dishes weren't taken back with the steaks, so when the steaks were brought back, the sides were no longer hot. In my opinion, the overall quality level of Morton's has declined noticeably since being purchased by a large restaurant group which operates mostly lower level restaurants. This is the third time the Burbank location has been an unsatisfactory experience. I won't be back.
Salads are great, enjoyed mashed potato and asparagus sides. Was not impressed with filet mignon, bland. High end steak house should do better. Very, very pricey. There are better steak houses for less $.
Just an average steakhouse. The server didn’t know the food nor the wine. Got to pay for parking. Overall too much for this level of service and food.
Our filets were cooked to the correct temperature but had little flavor and our lobster was over seasoned. My plate also had a lot of water on it. Service was good by our waitress but she had too many tables not her fault, of course). No runner to assist her or even fill our waters when empty. For $250 for two people with just two drinks, I will choose to go to Mastros.
Wonderful steaks and great service. Very friendly and attentive staff. Also liked the ambience.
Horrible dinner. Terrible service. Waiter acted like we put him out. Food wasn’t that great either. Will NEVER go back there
Simply one of the very best restaurants in Burbank the food was delicious and our waitress was so personable!! She was very attentive and made sure our sweet gluten-free daughter was absolutely no allergens in her food! Their wine selections far above par and portions are perfection on a plate! Kudos to all the staff!
Great food and great service. Dexter was really terrific.
There was an advertisement in the folder the bill came in and the food was mediocre at best. I’ve been to the Burbank location several times since they opened, this was the first disappointment. Morton’s has turned into an upscale Outback Steakhouse.
Came here for 2018 DineLA Dinner. I loved my 8oz Filet Mignon, cooked medium rare. It was tender and moist, delicious with every bite! I also loved my dessert, the Double Chocolate Mousse, which was rich and creamy. Super chocolaty, definitely, a chocolate lover's delight! I wasn't a big fan of their French Onion soup. It tasted watery and bland. There was hardly any cheese covering the cup, and hardly any bread and onions in there, complete starter joke! Do not get! As for service, it was excellent and on point. I wouldn't mind coming back here again, but I'll avoid their French Onion soup.
Three of us met for dinner as we had not been together in a while.
I spent about $500 for the food and drinks.
We were not impressed at all.
Meat was cooked perfectly but needed a dipping sauce as both the seafood and meat were dry. Side dishes were good but pretty hard to eat without a tasty main course.
Our server was great.
The bartender could use a "charm school" course.
Don't think I will ever be back as a better experience could have been had at the "Smoke House".
Plus the Burbank space lacks any charm.
My wife and I ate here to celebrate our 59th anniversary
Always a great place, but on New Year's Eve the staff seemed a bit stressed and the service was just OK. Food is always good. The noise level was WAY too high. We actually had trouble talking to each other it was so loud.
We were really looking forward to our New Years' Eve dinner at Morton's in Burbank, having recently enjoyed a terrific experience at Morton's in Beverly Hills. Unfortunately, our expectations were pretty much dashed the minute we walked in. The gentleman at the door didn't even think to smile or say "Happy New Year," or "Welcome to Morton's." He simply took our name and told us "it'll be 15-20 minutes for your table." That's NOT how to start a festive evening. On the other hand, our waiter, Michael, was excellent -- he was very friendly and made good recommendations. But our rib-eye steaks were simply not fabulous; they were, if anything, quite ordinary -- not what one would expect at a first-class steakhouse. When we left, a young woman at the door sort of mumbled "Thanks for coming." The fellow who didn't greet us didn't even bother to look up. (If nothing else, one can say he's consistent.) There are any number of wonderful steak places in L.A. (e.g., The Palm, Ruth's Chris, etc., etc.); Morton's Burbank isn't in their league.
In a restaurant like this I don’t expect my entree to arrive when I’m still eating my salad. Our waiter missed on several elements that evening. The food was extra good tonight so that made up for the rest. Thank goodness.
Our visit to Morton's was a combo make-up dinner date for our 42nd anniversary and Christmas dinner. Usually we celebrate the holidays at home with our adult kids, but we were 'flying' solo this year. We decided to do something special and chose Morton's.
Other than where we were seated, which was in one of two booths in front of the food-prep area (too noisy!), we had a most enjoyable time. We started with Morton's famous onion loaf, followed by a shared chopped salad. Our lovely waitress was kind enough to serve our portion on our own plates. As for the main meal, my husband had the Filet Mignon and I the Rack of Lamb, with mint jelly in its own server. Sides were the Lyonnaise Potatoes and Sautéed Brussels Sprouts. The Sprouts could have been cooked a tad longer, but otherwise our meal was quite tasty and satisfying. My husband had a glass of Merlot and I a glass of Moscato. Both were excellent. We finished the evening with a serving each of the Double Chocolate Mousse. Delish!
As for service, everyone did a fantastic job and treated us as if we were their only customer. Food was promptly brought out, dirty dishes removed, and table cleaned of bread crumbs, with leftovers neatly packaged. Our server was kind, chatty - but not too chatty, and eager to please. She made sure we were comfortable and our needs met, but did not linger too long to allow us our private time. Excellent waitress.
The only caveat was where we sat. Honestly, there should be - at the very least - a clear, Plexiglas barrier behind the two booths backing the prep area, if only to tone down the noise from that section. It was a challenge to have small talk and be heard...and my husband and I sat hip to hip.
In any event, we will probably return to Morton's in the future for those special dinners, but specifically reserve a side booth, preferably far from the food prep area.
