Arnie Morton's The Steakhouse - Burbank Ratings and Reviews
Been to Morton's many times over the years. Generally great service and excellent food. We went to take advantage of their occasional Steak and Lobster special for 56 bucks. Hard to beat. The steak and the lobster tail were both excellent. We split a Caesar salad and a Key Lime Pie. I had a cocktail and a Pinot Noir (by the glass), which also did not disappoint. Morton's can be pretty pricey if you order a lot of sides and such, but they usually have good specials and if you can stick to the plan, it ends up being a pretty good deal.
I've been going to Morton's for years. In the last couple of years, I have gone less often (once sold to Lawry's) because the food just isn't what it used to be. They have changed purveyors
or, at the very least, changed the quality. There was nothing 'jumbo' about the shrimp. They
were medium at best and mealy - likely overcooked. This is the 2nd time in a row I've experienced this. The meat was decent but still, not as good as it was in the past. If you're going to skimp,at the very least don't charge the same prices you did when it was a fine dining experience. Disappointed for the last time.
I've been to quite a few Morton's and never had a bad dining experience until this one. Our reservation was for 8 pm and the restaurant was not crowded. Our meal took forever - 45 minutes between salad and main course. We pre-ordered the dessert and had to take it to go due to the lateness of this last course too. Not going back.
We used to go to mortons quite often. But since it's changed not as much. Years ago I had my daughters wedding shower on a Saturday at noon. They opened it up for us. We had an open bar and a set menu. And from then on were treated so nice. I guess those people have gone else where. We noticed people around us were being offered after dinner drinks. They used to offer us but not now. Nothing stays the same I guess. The shrimp, mashed potatoes, asparagus and lava cake were delicious. The steak, and mortons salad weren't very good. Just being honest . Wait staff are still very attentive and nice. Thank you for this opportunity to vent.
It was OK, went for lunch, steak was done properly but small, pricey, didn't walk away with any "wow" factor. Lobster busk flat watery tasting, they did switch to onion soup, but I did finish it. Service was great, from the greeter to our waiter...great! Would I go there again, not sure, better places around Burbank.
We go here quite a bit. This time the service was a little slow, and our server didn't put in our whole order, so one of the sides didn't show up until we were almost done eating, and he forgot to put in my order for a second drink. But I'm pretty sure he was just new, so I totally give him the benefit of the doubt. Food was amazing as always! And the server was friendly and helpful, even if a little forgetful. Every other time service has been excellent, so I would totally still recommend.
My boyfriend and I dined at mortons because I thought the dine la menu and price was amazing. The service and environment was great. The food was good, but the steak was lacking some flavor. Even after I asked for steak sauce it didn't help much. Overall a great experience though.
I used to go to the original Arnie's in Chicago for great hamburgers back in the mid 7o's & 80's! Morton's never impressed me as I never appreciated over-paying for beef that I thought was only so so in flavor. I had not been to a Morton's in over 30 years and still was not impressed with this visit. The only reason we went is because a friend gave us a gift card for Xmas a couple of years ago and we just found it. I had the pork chop which was ok, but not something I would go back for. If you are going to serve asparagus with and entrée, please don't pour balsamic all over them. Serve it on the side and give a person the option of using it. Just ruined the flavor for me. My wife had a salmon dish which she liked. The best part of the meal were the lyonnaise potatoes and the onion bread. Those I would go back for specifically. Our server was also excellent!
Place was in a nice location with adequate parking structure. Nice ambience. Greeted by the hostess and directed us to a table. Requested a booth as there are only 2 of us. The hostess agreed to seat us in a booth, and made a comment " let me seat you over there, because we have regulars that are coming and we don't want to disappoint them". What she said, offended me, because it shows that, only the so called regulars are given importance. New or first time customers should be given the same importance because they are also paying like the rest of the people. If a business operates in that kind of mentality, then the rest of the customers are not as important as the rest. I want to give where credit is due. The service was good and will recommend the place to others even if my experience was negative from the hostess.
Fantastic celebration dinner and experience for my my daughter's birthday and promotion at work. The restaurant had special menus printed up upon our arrival (not requested) and greeted her with a Happy Birthday! The food was great, the service was amazing and we will be back sooner than later. Well done Morton's.
We've been going to Morton's in Burbank for years and this was the first time I've ever had a less than stellar experience. The only complaint I have is about the hostess that seated us. I made an early reservation for dinner (4:15pm) on Father's Day to avoid the crowds. When we arrived, the restaurant was practically empty. There were only a few tables being used. The hostess sat us at a table that was literally approximately 10 feet from the bathroom doors. When we asked if we could sit at one of the many tables available, she replied "Well someone has to sit here." I asked her why other patrons who had a later reservation had priority over us who were here now. She said "They're all going to be full." I said "But they're all empty now and we are here NOW." Her responses were unprofessional and rude and didn't make sense. I was surprised that she worked at Morton's. Our lovely waitress moved us to another table and provided us with excellent service.
