Arnette's Chop Shop
The restaurant’s interior was created to compliment the industrial modern design movement, exposing the natural character of the reclaimed warehouse while blending vintage, classic and modern design influences.
The restaurant is split into two levels. The dining room is appointed with custom wood and leather booths, banquettes and tables. The main level also boasts an open kitchen complete with a custom built wood burning and open flame hearth and charbroiler.
The lavish upscale bar is positioned on the second level above the main entrance and dining room. The bar has a contemporary yet warm den style ambiance with a open air terrace. The ceilings are low and the walls are adorned with paintings of famous musicians of past and present.
We keep going back because the steaks are very good & the location is easy, but still feels like they’re working the bugs out re service. Ordered the salad special tonight, it was a bit skimpy. We were told it was a roasted peach salad, but the few tiny slivers of peaches were barely there. We had to ask twice for horseradish for the shrimp cocktail, then had to ask to order entrees/dinner. After finally flagging down our waiter, I ordered an Aperol Spritz (super trendy). A glass of Chardonnay was delivered (and sent back). 2nd attempt looked like a rum & Coke (?!). Third try was close, but didn’t taste like it had any Prosecco & was served in a highball glass instead of big tall glass with a stem. Manager did his best trying to make it right and added a splash more Prosecco.
Again, the steaks are good. Nice (albeit expensive) selection of sides.
Food was very good, but we all agreed that it was really overpriced. Great place to go for drinks and and appetizer - bar and open rooftop patio is very nice.
The aged steaks here are superb. Some of the best in Atlanta. My favorite of all time was the 90 day dry aged bone in ribeye.
The wet aged ribeye was sold out this time. My friend had the dry aged Kansas City strip. It had a marbled taste like Kobe beef. 30 days aged I believe. I had a small 6 oz ribeye medallion as we ordered other apps that were great (key west shrimp (cooked perfectly), kobe beef ribs (braised or sou vide, fall off the bone succulent), scallops (perfectly cooked). For sides I had an off menu asparagus with oil and salt and pepper grilled. We also had mushrooms and sauces.
We had a wonderful experience! We sat at the bar upstairs. Beautiful and great service!! Wine 🍷 recommendations were spot on!
Hearth Roasted Oysters amazing! The Beef Wellington was the best we’ve ever had. So overwhelmed that I forgot to take picture while dining. I got a couple at home of our take-out portion. Our lunch at home Saturday continued to melt in our mouths. Thank you again for providing us consistent, wonderful service and meals here in Brookhaven! Word of Mouth 👄 is out! 😁
Honestly, it was really random! I was expecting exceptional food like at Hal’s or Chops Lobster Bar but no! Pasta was horrible, tasteless. Lobster in my pasta was over cooked and very chewy. Steak was just ok, nothing impressive. Our waiter didn’t even check on us once to see if we like our food. Not to mention the prices on everything. Overpriced, random, will never ever be back! (Though I am a Brookhaven neighbor). I will rather go spend my buck at Hal’s where the meal is always great!
Birthday dinner with my wife
We look forward to this being our new “date night” spot.
This visit was disappointing. We had an eight o'clock reservation and at 840 went to the stand and they just had a table open. The shrimp app was overcooked. The tartar was very good. My steak was perfect the other was overcooked. The mac and cheese was ice cold they took it and asked if we wanted it reheated by that point no not reheated.
But u will return.
Great steaks, sides and service. It was a Happy Mother’s Day dinner
Great place for drinks, casual meet up or date night. Started with drinks upstairs at the bar. Love how this is separate from the main dining room. Bar tender served up one of the best dirty martinis I’ve had in a while. Followed drinks with dinner downstairs. We had the Waygu beef ribs, amazing and tender. Finished it up with their steak specials. Steak was perfectly cooked with a nice sear. Will be back!
We had our first visit to Arnette's on Friday. The food, service, and atmosphere were great. I have food allergy issues, and they handled everything with no bumps. Meats were cooked perfectly, and seafood was super fresh! Highly recommend.
The steaks were unbelievably undercooked and bad. For being a chop house they were horrible. The hash browns were burnt. And the waiters didn’t understand that you don’t fill a wine glass all the way up
The bar and patio are cool! Great food!
This place is phenomenal. Owner is genuine, understands the restaurant business. Great place for Brookhaven
I was very pleased with service and food, the atmosphere was great as well,
Arenettes was fabulous! This is a great restaurant! It takes Brookhaven to a whole new level in exceptional sophisticated dining. The menu is fantastic. The ambience is very appealing, sophisticated but very comfort. Our food was off the chain. One of the best meals we have had in quite some time. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here. Ambience was perfect. Wait staff was very attentive and courteous. Food was excellent and perfectly prepared. Steak was very flavorful and very tender. This was our first visit but won’t be our last.
One of our favorites and regular stops since it opened.
Arnette’s chop house was excellent. Service was very good, steak tartare was delicious as were the entree steaks. Cocktails and wine choice were also excellent. We had a great night and will be back!
We were in the upstairs bar area this time and it’s got a good vibe busy for a Saturday afternoon. Service was great - attentive, eager to please, good recommendations. Burger came out way over cooked and took awhile to get a replacement. Husband’s steak was perfect but the steak at table next to us was over cooked too. Staff did what they could but seems like kitchen needs some 101. No compensation for the food issues. Server made off hand comment about giving us free dessert but never followed through.
Love this place! Excellent service and food. The upstairs bar area is a great space!
new Location, top service, nice bar upstairs
for Business or private Dining
expect high clientele and Dress nicely
we had been there for the wedding anniversary and had a good time
request outside seating if it is not too hot
Awesome meal, awesome service... expensive wine list! I suggest you check and see if they will let you bring your own wine and pay a corkage fee.
Great neighborhood atmosphere and service!
Arnette's is a really cool space. We loved the upstairs bar overlooking the green space across the street. The food is excellent; pricey but excellent. The reception staff was great. Very comfortable seating. Good noise level in the main restaurant. We were not really happy with our server. We had a bit of a hard time understanding him; no enthusiasm. Went twice in one week on this visit to Atlanta.
I’m reminded that the difference between a good restaurant and a great one is that the great restaurant exceeds my expectations every time!!
Borderline on recommending...we joked that the hash browns were not very good...nice presentation, but bring some from Waffle House next time. Biggest complaint I have is the portion size, especially for the steaks....all else the portions were adequate...but the steaks are 6 oz, small for the price. Nite and day difference if it was 8 oz.
Enjoyable evening. The steak and asparagus were perfect! Delicious!
Everything was amazing! Food, service, atmosphere, everything looks terrific!
Really enjoyed this visit. I had been last summer and it is much improved.
Steaks were over cooked and burned around the edges
Great food and setting
We had been to arnettes one time before and it was great. This time we got a waiter with tons of attitude and 3 of our 4 steaks arrived wildly overdone. The managers fixed it right away and gave us each a comp glass of wine. The steaks were very good when they arrived again. We still like arnettes a lot and will return but hope they work out the bumps. For what you pay it should be flawless and please bag the waiters with attitude. If they can’t handle the rush of a Saturday night they should not be there. Ps also maybe review the amount of bacon in each dish. Everything doesn’t have to have bacon as after a couple salads, appetizers and side dish with bacon it is overload. PPS our waiter the first visit was wonderful and helped make the evening a delight.
Was there for my birthday. Got there early 6:00 p.m.--highly recommended, as it is quiet and things move faster. Appetizers (bacon, shrimp de jonghe), Arnette's Tonic craft cocktail, steaks, were all perfect. Cher threw in a special dessert for me. I can be a tough critic, but the restaurant was at the top of its game that Saturday night.
A spectacular dinner and experience, once again at Arnette's Chop Shop!
Sat upstairs in the bar area for dinner. Total fun! Both tartare's, Tuna and steak...OUTRAGEOUS!! Extremely fresh, and beautifully presented. The Hearth salad, the best I've ever had !!
Cannot wait to go back! Thank you Michael and fabulous staff!!
Loved the physical space and the restaurant and bar are great venues. Our waiter James was excellent , very knowledgeable and responsive . I know it’s only a few bucks but don’t charge fornbread or steak sauces that’s just annoying and foolish. I did think tne wine list pricing was reasonable which was a nice surprise. Will try again maybe fotnsut at bar and split something .
