Arnette's Chop Shop
The restaurant’s interior was created to compliment the industrial modern design movement, exposing the natural character of the reclaimed warehouse while blending vintage, classic and modern design influences.
The restaurant is split into two levels. The dining room is appointed with custom wood and leather booths, banquettes and tables. The main level also boasts an open kitchen complete with a custom built wood burning and open flame hearth and charbroiler.
The lavish upscale bar is positioned on the second level above the main entrance and dining room. The bar has a contemporary yet warm den style ambiance with a open air terrace. The ceilings are low and the walls are adorned with paintings of famous musicians of past and present.
It was outstanding!
Food was excellent.
Service was not great.
Tables are too crowded together - feels squashed and on top of another.
Excellent place for fine dining!
EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE!!! My partner, his dad & stepmother went out for his birthday! We loved everything about this place! Can’t wait for a reason to come back!! James (our server) was awesome!!!
I have been several times now and the service has been spotty. One time, the waiter was so overbearing about the wine list and where he had worked before that it was very off-putting. Another visit, the steak was to be sliced and arrived not so, the occasion was a birthday and dessert was brought prematurely and with no utensils nor an offer for any. One of the sides ordered was totally misrepresented as all 3 people at the table understood something totally different. I will try the restaurant again and think the food is good but at the cost of the dinner one would expect flawless service.
Could not have been better. We Finnish the night at the upstairs bar.
The staff, service and ambiance are spectacular! And the food is just as great. Went 2 nights in a row and can’t wait to go back.
Top notch all the way. Dollar worth is over the top!
The server was very nice but it took forever for us to get our food. It was only 3 of us and everyone around us that ordered after us got their food before us. I have been here several times before and it has never taken that long to receive the food
Very trendy restaurant The plates were small and quite pricy for a la carte dining. The food was tasty but not extraordinary and for the prices it should be!
Not the original Arnettes. something is off. The food was terrible, service okay. The atmosphere is nice but the chandeliers were dirty. Something was just way off. Won't be back!
The food was amazing! Good size portions but the servers from my observation were not real friendly and did not do a good job explaining the menu... We actually ordered additional sides but it was only because we saw what the other table was served. The manager on the other hand was very friendly but I thought the menu was a little pricey. $$
Great birthday celebration experience. Our waiter, Dave, is world class!
We had a nice evening. The food was good and the service was good and then the bill came. They offered sauces that never had a price on them but they did. Then we saw that they charged us $8.00 for bread and butter. That was a real shock. We have eaten at many fine restaurants and have never been charged for bread. Also remove the special occasion from the sight. They give you a candle. Not sure if we will ever go back.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner and other staff, and seated immediately. Definitely recommend making a reservation. The restaurant space is huge - indoor, upstairs and outdoor, with a Buckhead-meets NYC or Chicago ambiance. The food was amazing - from the oysters, salad starter and steaks and sides. The bread service was even a step above, offering three different butter spreads to try. Then came the dessert - we had wondering eyes the whole time we devoured the baked Alaska. Definitely a treat. And we definitely will be back.
We had a great evening! The food and service were amazing!!
On my second visit, I brought friends who’d never been before. We were all very pleased with the quality of the food and the service. It’s a beautiful restaurant and I’m looking forward to my next visit.
Excellent food... Excellent service... Excellent ambiance... In other words: Excellent!
I just went for an anniversary dinner and it was fantastic. The service was really strong both with the bartenders upstairs and our server was especially good (friendly manager/hostess too). We enjoyed dining downstairs this time just since it’s a little bit quieter but the upstairs atmosphere is also great. The steak frites and oysters were both delicious too.
One of Atlanta’s best! Michael Arnette has a superior menu. Top notch professional staff. Comfortable surroundings. The. Best. Food.
Always enjoy this restaurant. 10*
Great food and time with my son on my Birthday! Will go again with friends and enjoyed meeting Michael A (owner )!
Food was excellent. Had reservations at 9 did not get seated until around 9:20. Took about 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. Besides those two negatives the atmosphere and food was great.
Amazing hot spot in Brookhaven. The ambiance is amazing. Super cool place to hang upstairs by the outdoor fire. Food was solid and the place was packed. Highly recommend.
Loved the overall atmosphere! The fire pits at the bar upstairs were great. Hosts and bartender were very friendly. The dining room was a little loud, but I think it was because of the high ceilings. Food was good, but small portions.
Superb, both food and service. Our waiter, Ryan was terrific.
Our first visit to this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint! The server was attentive but not suffocating. Support staff was friendly and on task - I enjoy a full water glass. The food was delicious. Our table had steak and seafood, and all was properly cooked. Great ambiance.
Very good! Will come back again
Had a reservation for 8 on a Saturday, but we weren’t seated until 9:15. It was super packed so I understand they were a little behind, but it was frustrating to wait that long for a table even with having a reservation. We grabbed drinks at the bar upstairs then snagged the only two seats downstairs by the hostess stand because it was elbow to elbow upstairs and VERY loud. Service left a lot to be desired - had to ask for an explanation of the menu & recommendations. Not very attentive. The food was awesome, but if you’re looking for more of a quiet date night where servers go above and beyond, I’d go to Marcel.
There was a serious mismanagement of seats. Even with a reservation, we waited about 40 minutes. People were complaining. We tried to get up to the bar, but it was so packed and we felt terrible for those seated there. Diners were visibly frustrated. Much to our dismay, we were seated in the bar and forced to scream at each other (no exaggeration. Even the server had to come up to each of us individually to take our order, complaining about the noise). Onto the server - it kinda became a joke that each of his recommendations were the most expensive item on the menu. While I’m sure delicious, we would have appreciated some varied recs - we can’t afford $150 bottles of wine. Food took forever. When all was said and done, we were there almost 3 hours. They also ran out of the Steak we tried to order. My sisters meat was over cooked, brothers under cooked. All delicious, though. Honestly, let the buzz wear off and go when they can actually accommodate you.
They seemed to still be working out the process for getting tables seated on time for the ones that had reservations
Love it, except for the loudness. We found ourselves yelling at one another or having to
lean into our companions' ears!! Fab food and service, however.
Just too damn loud! Food was fine, handsome place, service acceptable, but the small room made conversation impossible.
Terrible experience. Food was decent, but they are trying to get too many people served which impacts the steakhouse experience one expects in this key of Atlanta . Service was terrible, but bar experience was good. Way better choices for steakhouse experiences in the Brookhaven:Buckhead area.
We were seated in bar for our dinner. Way too loud. Really wanted a nice conversation with my son.
Sat downstairs the last time- much better!
We sat in a quiet small room which was fine but does not have the wonderful ambiance of the rest of the restaurant, which is one of the best decorated restaurants in Atlanta.
It was fine though.
Food wasn’t worth the money, much better steakhouses in the Buckhead Brookhaven area. Waited 20 minutes for a seat with a reservation, AT A STEAKHOUSE. Never again. Go to Chops, American Cut, or Bones.
The food was outstanding and the server was great, but we had a reservation for a standard table at 7:00PM, but did not get seated in main dining room until 8:30PM. The hostess offered us a temporary table in the bar area around 8:00 and then a booth in the bar area a bit later. But, we did not think either locations were very good. I would still recommend the place because the food was so good, but that night the overall service was disappointing.
The food was superb! Steak was incredible as was the seafood~ to do both so well!!! And the staff were all sooo nice~ will need to go back soon!
Great ambiance. Food was really good. Looking forward to going back soon.
