I had really high hopes for Arnaud's. It was charming, and our service was great. But, after having had some incredible meals prior to this dining experience, it really paled in comparison. It was classic and fun in that sense, but the food was not amazing. Very good, but not the outstanding meal I had been hoping for. I was also disappointed that some of the patrons didn't adhere to the dress code--it brought down that level of classiness and made it feel less special and timeless.
Fabulous meal as always
One of my top 5 restaurants in NOLA
We had a drink at 75 while we waited for our table to become ready, then had an excellent time with fabulous food and dynamic service. It was an old-world, classic dining experience well worth the price point and reservation.
Absolutely wonderful meal. Quality was excellent. Service was crisp and efficient and friendly.
When I am on vacation I don't feel like packing a jacket so I am glad they are not fanatic about their dress code. At Sunday brunch I saw people in shorts and tee shirts. I would still recommend a collared shirt and at least blue jeans. That aside the food is the best that I have had in NOLA. Fantastic gumbo and any of the shrimp dishes are especially fantastic. For dessert you must have the Bananas Foster. That dish was not born there but the best version lives there now.
Arnaud's always has wonderful food and service. I have never had anything but an excellent experience.
Totally lived up to its excellent reputation. Service was exquisite and the food was almost perfect!
The food and service was exceptional. It was a little noisy but that didn't take away from the wonderful time that we had.
We came to Arnaud's to celebrate a friend's birthday. Things started fine and we placed our cocktail orders and then dinner and wine orders shortly after. Cocktails arrived, then apps and then entrees. Our bottle of wine never arrived and we were almost done with our entrees. We flagged down two different people from the wait staff that weren't even our actual waiter because he disappeared for the remainder of the evening. Each time we expressed dissatisfaction with things (as more things continued to go wrong) whoever we were talking to just told us that they were too busy that night. You don't tell a paying customer that you're basically too busy to serve them!! We were told a manager would be coming to visit with us. No one ever came. We finally had to demand the hostess send the manager come talk with us. He was courteous when he finally came and did not charge for us for wine in the end. He said his staff never should've told us they were too busy to give us even basic service. But for the prices of their food, you should be getting great service always. I've always wanted to eat here, and now with this experience I know I would never go back.
By far, my favorite menu of all the great restaurants— something for everyone— including fabulous desserts, like Bananas Foster. The service was wonderful and attentive; and the food was amazing. Our meal was perfect from beginning to end. It’s now one of my all time favorites.
Our 50th wedding anniversary and the food was the best, and all the staff could not have been better. We have been there multiple times and is always great
Visited from Chicago. Arnauds is legendary and was something we were really looking forward to. Their bread is outstanding, we had the house special Shrimp Arnaud which was very good but we thought the waitress should have mentioned it was served cold, the escargot which was good and the puffed potatoes which were very good. As a main dish we shared the Quail and it was a show stopper. We had Bananas Foster cooked table side for dessert and it was good. The staff was amazingly attentive and the property is exceptional. The only downsides that I can think of were that the chairs were very uncomfortable and the space was tight. The room got very loud and while jackets are required, there were defenitely exceptions made for others. The waitress could have explained a few dishes and helped a little more with the ordering. Overall 4 out of 5 experience.
Excellent service! Our waitress Dalia made all the difference
Arnaud's is a superb restaurant! The food is superior and the staff is outstanding.
We really great experience!
My wife and son brought our son to the restaurant while he was on spring break to celebrate his 21st Birthday in January. Arnaud's has been a favorite of ours for years, since I learned that I have a mutual friend of the owner. We've been back just about every time we go to New Orleans.
On this occasion, we were seated under the alcove in the main dining area which due to the low ceiling was very loud and it was sometimes hard to hear the wait staff or even each other. Also, the soufflé potatoes were not available (which was understandable). When we ordered the other type of potato they were not delivered with our food and are not really of the high quality that I'd expect of the restaurant. I was surprised there wasn't some kind of mashed potato or other option, especially with the other kind of potato unavailable.
The potatoes were removed from our tab after we talked about them being late. We were just slightly disappointed, but the food was still great and we still love this great location.
This is the real deal. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Everything was excellent and it’s the best food I’ve ever had in New Orleans.
Banana foster was great. The filet mignon is the best ever. Very tender.
Wonderful food and service. Enjoyed hearing the history of the restaurant while we were there. Our filets were perfectly cooked and so tender. Will definitely be back!!
Really excited to try this right restaurant. The man that opened the wine poured for tasting and then sat the bottle on table without filling the other glasses or even the glass of the taster. I thought very rude.
Amazing authentic creole cuisine! Oysters, gumbo and banana foster were sooo good!
The Jazz by The Jay Walkers was amazing! The food is a great value for a jazz brunch in NOLA!!! This is a regular stop on our yearly trip!
Great food and service! Took my family there, and was glad they enjoyed one of the classic restaurants in New Orleans. Its a great place to eat!
Sunday brunch, jazz, very well prepared food, excellent service, helpful staff, great place to eat.
Great experience! Service was excellent and the food was well worth it! Would highly recommend for a special occasion or business meal when visiting New Orleans.
The wine and cocktails were great. Our multiple course dinner was delicious! Our servers were very attentive and friendly. We had a very enjoyable experience!!
Great meal. Best bananas foster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW. Best service I have ever had. Everything was timed perfectly and our whole experience was above average. Great food and very intimate feeling though it is right in the middle of Bourbon st craziness.
Overall service was the best. Food was good but i was not impress with the oysters they re way better at Drago’s. But desert is worth all. Make a reservation go for desert.
Ive been Moro Arnaud’s many times over the years. I try and make an evening here when I’m in town for a meeting. The food, as always, is exquisite, combining local ingredients with French cooking. The wine list is encyclopedic; sadly, also about three times retail. There was a large convention in town this weekend, so perhaps this is why the wait staff seemed a bit disorganized and distracted. Otherwise, a lovely evening.
The food was fantastic and the service even better. Expensive but definitely worth it. The oysters, both raw and multiple varieties of cooked, were very tasty. Will go again next time I am in NOLA.
Great service and nice staff, but the Food was over cooked
Had a spectacular dinner at Arnoud’s with a very special friend. Perhaps the most romantic dinner I’ve ever had. This will be a memory that we will both cherish for years to come. Well done, very well done!
Arnaud’s was superior as usual but very crowded and the noise level was a 20 on
a scale of 1-10...10 being the worst
Servers very attentive, gave good recommendations and descriptions of menu choices. Food flavor and sophistication met my expectations and delighted me because of the mixed reviews I read on Open Table.
Very attentive service, delicious food. We had a nice table off to the side, but the dining room does get quite loud.
Great authentic NOLA classic with excellent service, great food and variety of fresh seafood options.
A great evening out- service was efficient and the food delicious!
When we booked our trip to New Orleans, Arnaud’s was the first place I made dinner reservations. I had gone once as a work outing on a business trip and thoroughly enjoyed it so I knew I wanted to go again. They were really accommodating considering I changed the reservation a few times. Our beverage waitress was wonderful, very attentive.
