Arnaud's Ratings and Reviews
Over priced, sub par New Orleans food. Their signature dish was over sauced and under marinated. Omelette was overcooked and barely had cheese. The bananas foster tasted like rubbing alcohol, couldn't even finish it. Every time we ordered a drink, it tasted different and have different garnishes. Our waiter was quite loud and not a representative of fine dining. $90 for brunch and left with a stomachache. Skip this place if you visit New Orleans.
Our experience was AWFUL!
Arnaud's has changed Owners, I hear, and it is evident. The restaurant was one third full at that prime time on Tuesday 11/14/17.
We were seated at a nice table for our 7 pm reservation.
Took a while for complimentary bread to arrive. No bread plates. 'We don't use bread plates'
My Wife'-s shrimp creole was tepid and void of any flavor.
My speckled trout meuniere was actually sheep's head, battered and deep fried. I was charged the speckled trout price, $29.95, for something I could have gotten at a fast food joint for $4.99.
WE WILL NEVER GO BACK...
A CLASS ACT!!! Arnaud's...does not disappoint. The room is quintessential New Orleans, the food is well prepared. Everyone is professional. The Maitre D is one of the most fabulous and "he's on it" with respect to how the restaurant is run. Fresh fish choices are recommended.
The Jazz Bistro is worth a great second trip back to eat in a slightly more informal manner and listen to great music. The French 75 Bar, also part of, is a classy, intimate (but Loud) place to have your before dinner cocktails. The bartenders know what they're doing. Classic Whiskey Sours ROCK!!!!
My wife and I enjoyed an extraordinary dining experience at Arnaud's. The restaurant and its staff impressed us from the moment we walked through the entrance to the time we finally departed well more than two hours later. The cocktails were unique and delightful. The wine was superb, and the food was truly exceptional. All was experienced in a very warm and rich setting. Each course was presented beautifully in a relaxed atmosphere. The entrees , salads, and soups were prepared to utter perfection. Even the bread was among the best we ever tasted. Our dinner concluded with a desert of Bananas Foster prepared table side with flaming splendor. We want to acknowledge the outstanding and welcoming service provided to us by Augie, Doug, Dustin, and Michael during and even after our dinner. Our dining experience at Arnaud's was a truly memorable one in every aspect!
Had 6 for dinner at 6:30. The dining room was filled quickly after we were seated.
Staff was attentive to getting us drinks and our order but didn't rush us through the meal.
Food was delicious from appetizer, to dinner to dessert.
I had escargot which was delicious.
This is a meal that you can count on being very good and that everyone would enjoy.
We had Sunday jazz brunch and it was a terrific experience! The food was yummy and the jazz band was wonderful. They went around the room and played at individual tables. It felt like a real New Orleans event. The price tag is rather high so you have to know that going in. The food is great but you are truly paying for the whole experience.
Very expensive price to pay for dining factory-style. Why do waiters rush to remove your plate even before you’ve completed your meal (or before your dining partner has completed their’s). This happened repeatedly throughout the night, with drinks, the bread and butter, etc. it’s not like they had people waiting for the table (there were empty tables - although I don’t think that’s an excuse).
The Dining room was loud, and it was difficult to have conversation with my dining partner. I was underwhelmed. I do believe the food was probably quite good, but I was distracted by the deficiencies mentioned above.
Live jazz during Sunday brunch was delightful
The brunch menu had great options. The salad that was included in the brunch, however, was quite ordinary. We expected a more flavorful dressing and a better presentation for the salad. Overall the Sunday brunch was a grand event I plan to do again
I Have a lot of food restrictions. I was disappointed that they did not make any accommodations. All the people I ate with however loved their meals. Several raves about the Tuttle soup and steak. We had a small private room which was perfect and the service was impeccable.
First, the various baked oyster apps were excellent. Sauces not as flavorful as I remember. The mushroom sauce on my filet mignon was too salty. The weight staff were very pleasant, but we waited a full 25 minutes after our starters and salad to get our entrees. I think someone forgot them somewhere.
Way too noisy. Shrimp creole ordinary. Crab cakes Devine
The host never came to get us in the bar when our table was ready
Boorish loud man next to us ruined our evening. Some friend of the management. They catered to him all evening
So sorry we wasted our money.
Last minute decision to do Sunday Brunch and it was delightful. We had not been in a while and did not realize it was a four course which was definitely more food than we wanted but it was all good and there were a few things you could choose on the lighter side. They have the best French 75 in NOLA but I think they created the drink?? Jazz band is fun, service is good and food is good and definitely New Orleans style. Great place to celebrate or just have a Sunday brunch for two! The crepes for dessert are worth the upcharge!!
Went here for a jazz Sunday brunch, and there are quite a few in New Orlean's, but after researching all the brunches decided on Arnaud's. Very glad we did, as we spent a couple of hours enjoying a fantastic jazz trio, a beautiful New Orleans fine dining room, wonderful service by everyone, and excellent food and presentation. If you aare looking for a great Sunday jazz brunch experience, I would definitely go here. You will love it. Get dressed up and enjoy a few hours of Sunday afternoon and give yourself a special treat that you will really enjoy.
As requested, the Chef agreed to prepare my favorite Entrée ever. This had been on Arnaud's menu for years but, had been left off in recent years. Crabmeat Imperial is the very best preparation of Crabmeat that you can imagine. It is delicate, succulent and a real pleasure for your palate. I have been enjoying this dish for over 60 years and at this particular time I would rank it among the very best.
Douglas, Dustin and Irvin served our every need and as usual, we were made to feel like family. My wife and I have been coming to Arnaud's for almost 50 years including our Honeymoon Dinner but, this time, we were with friends who also had the opportunity to enjoy the food and service for their first time. To them, it was as memorable as it has always been for us. Thank you for making my Birthday so special and for always welcoming us home to Arnaud's.
The service was excellent. The bread was delicious. My entire party was thoroughly pleased with their meal selections, and all 6 of us chose something different for each course. Would highly recommend, and will definitely come back on my next visit to the area.
Fabulous food and dining experience. Lots to pick from in this traditional French Quarter restaurant. Staff is friendly and helpful. Interesting evening watching flaming desserts and drinks being prepared with great skill and showmanship! Highly recommend Arnaud's.
