    The food was good. Our waiter Patrick had a lot to be desired. He was slow, inattentive and overall lacking. While the food was good it took a long time to get through dinner. I realize some dinner service should be long. For what this restaurant is it should not have taken 2 hours 15 min for a simple meal. At the end of the meal it took getting his attention to get the bill. After the meal was served he disappeared. Go for the food go for cool vibe and hopefully you don’t get Patrick.

    I ordered the Spot Prawns. The prawns were very overcooked and tough. I sent my dinner back and ordered the Hamachi. The flavor was decent, however the portion size was ridiculously small. I have worked in the hospitality industry before and am familiar with portion size. I doubt the amount of hamachi would fill 1/8th of a cup. Given the disappointing prawns and delay getting my the hamachi, I would have expected that our server would have offered me a complimentary glass of wine or dessert. I love the setting but could not and would not recommend ARLO to anyone for a meal.

    I love Arlo. John is so kind and accommodating. Patrick went above and beyond to keep us safer. Drinks were sooo good as was the jydori chicken and the sea bass with muscles. A flavorful banana cake pop and baked Alaska with blackberry ice cream. This is one if my favorite places in San Diego.

    Nice atmosphere with well presented interesting menu. Service was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately on the night we dined a large party brought their own Mariachi Band which was too loud and made conversation difficult, but am assuming this was not a typical occurrence.

    I had the sea bass. It was fine, nothing crazy. Flavor was fine, small portion, small clams. My friend had the bolognese. It did not present how either of us thought but it was tasty!! (Almost in a bread bowl type thing!)

    Went for NYE with a few people, the ambiance and vibe was fun with the live band, but for what came out to be $300/couple, it was just OK. Two of the petite filets were overcooked, and the rest of the courses were good but not great. We are going to come back here on a normal night to try it out, but with them being busy and a lot going on, I feel like the service and food quality suffered a bit. The resort is really cool though!

    Our first visit to ARLO exceeded our expectations - which were high. Service was excellent. Menu has a nice variety of quality options. We chose to go with the 3course option. Started with wood fired oysters; which was like no oyster on the half shell I have ever had. The white truffle cream sauce was unbelievable. My wife had the white sea bass, I had the brick oven bolognese. Both were excellent. We’re brought a bottle of wine with us but you don’t need to the wine list is extensive. Finished with a cheesecake s’more. Great date! Give this a try.

    The Desserts were for sure very disappointing. Them all were super sweet, and the appearance was the same as those ones at those Chinese “all you can eat” type of restaurants. The waiter was rude by bringing us the check before we have finished eating (we haven’t even tried the desserts yet). For the price, an expresso could be given at the end as courtesy to all guests.

    We had a truly wonderful, imaginative and delicious Chrismas buffet. There were many selctions for appetizes, main courses and stunning desserts. We tried a number of this an all were extraordinatry. Bravo! Thanks for making a Christmas for my wife and I who were traveling and far from home, very special.

    We tried ARLO for the first time for Christmas brunch. The food selection was immense and the quality was delicious! Easy access with the validated parking structure and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend and will be returning next year.

    John the Asst GM was great! Our table had a couch on one side, and chairs on the other. Since we all wanted to sit on a couch, John pulled over a second couch to the table and replaced the chairs. It was super cozy and nice. Our server Elenah was very knowledgeable about the cocktails and made great suggestions. The food was great and the prix fixe was an excellent value. We are surprised how uncrowded it was on a Friday night. What a hidden gem of a restaurant!

    The food is creative and flavorful! ARLO is the best kept secret! Please do some marketing. Example, there's a visible "ARLO" sign from the westbound 8 Freeway near Hotel Circle, but if Restaurant & Bar were added under the name ARLO, people may explore further. Otherwise ARLO could be the name of a bio-tech company or practically anything except a restaurant. The drinks are great too! :)

    Had reservations for Thanksgiving dinner, menu included oysters but by the time of our reservation they were out of oysters. Feel that they should have anticipated the crowd and had enough. My husband was looking forward to that the most so it was a disappointment.

    Had Thanksgiving dinner here. Nice high end buffet style with lots to choose from and everything was delicious. They had Oysters on the half shell, I was shocked how yummy they were. The service was slow we had to wave down a staff person every time we needed something extra. The restaurant is beautiful and the grounds of the hotel are top notch. They had live music that was a nice touch.

    Food selection & options were wonderful, because it was a buffet most of the sides were luke warm or less...would have loved for everything to be hot, but I do understand the challenges when you're dealing with a buffet and people opening/closing the trays.

    Food was fabulous! Not hi-hum. Desiree gave us great service. And the GM John took great care to be sure we enjoyed our dinner experience. Will go back.

    The service was the high point, I don’t think my water even got to half without being filled first. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food…. was very disappointing with the exception of bread and pizza. We both got NY strips and did not enjoy our meal. I’m big into steak and it was a huge let down.

    We felt rushed when we did not order a second cocktail and dessert. The server forgot to put our leftover half loaf of bread in our to go box after we had asked for it to be boxed up. We enjoy Arlo very much, but this time we felt a little disappointed with th the service. The food was delious as always.

    First time at the property since the renovation. Ambiance is really nice and the menu has green options.

    The food was excellent, desert delicious and our waitress had a great personality, she was attentive but not overly. I really enjoyed the decor and they played great music. 5 stars.
