We couldn't believe how quiet it was at Arleana's at 6:30 on a Saturday evening! We had the catfish court-bouillon, the gumbo, and the seasonal roasted squash special. The depth and balance of flavor in everything was remarkable. The okra and catfish were delightful fried. The squash was spoon-soft. Everything was great, and I think everyone else in town was missing out!

Their cajun fried chicken is amazing!!! I tried the chicken & biscuit sandwich for brunch and it was delicious. Crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, with a hint of cajun delight in every bite.

The brunch food was amazing! I had the chicken and waffles and the fried chicken was perfect; I also nabbed a taste of the crawfish poutine with softshell crab–excellent! Our server was very positive but a little frazzled and perhaps inexperienced. The servers didn't seem to have a tray to bring more than two drinks from the bar to the table at a time, which seemed silly for a table of 8. My first cup of coffee at Arleana's was tepid and I wasn't provided a spoon. Thankfully it wasn't my first cup of the day so I didn't have a meltdown. The atmosphere was very pleasant as was the staff. I'll be coming back for dinner service soon!

From first step to last, every moment started to feel like being at home. The vibrant smiles and the essence of spices Aroma : opened every cell to a whole new experience. The staff teamwork was in sync which made it a comfortable ambience!! Missed seeing Jacob the chef who has created a menu which will make your palate dance !! Theo the owner whom I met after a few years when we visited the island soul in Columbia city , another masterpiece of his came around to every table . Thany in itself speaks volumes !! He joined us for pleasant conversation as we shared Jamaican and Indian cuisine cultures!! The food and drinks were spectacular and packed with flavor and cooked as it should : from kitchen to table in the right amount of time for us to enjoy the deliciousness in each bite .

Our service and the food at Arleana's was fantastic. Prices are totally reasonable, and our party of four had four different entrees, multiple cocktails/mocktails, beer, and dessert (plantains foster). I highly recommend the spicy prickly pear margarita - delicious. My husband loved his oxtail pepperpot, and I prefer more veg so went with the chickpea curry and a side of collard greens - delicious. We had several staff attending to us (Judah was our primary server) and they were all accommodating, warm, and wonderful. We will be back for sure!
