Up-market environment with service and food quality to match. Usually the noise level here is very low, this visit there was a large group that was quite loud.

We enjoyed a nice Sunday lunch, never hurried, and appreciated the staff's professionalism.

Special evening called for a special venue and the Inn more than delivered. I don't think there was a glitch anywhere, and the perfection continued at brunch the next day. So good! So classy! So dependable at exceeding expectations!

A lovely local place with history. The food was okay but not too special and the prices are a bit high to make this a go to place very often. The service was a bit slow but competent and friendly.

WE have enjoyed the AZ Inn for years as it has an elegance about it. Soft piano music
with good service and a nice menu. Always do a great job.. the Library is a priceless treasure.
The Patio for lunch.. the bar for piano music.. the dinning room to feel special..

Wonderful gem near the University of Arizona. The ambience is elegant, with attentive service. I have eaten there twice, once breakfast and once lunch, and both times the food was wonderfully prepared and extremely flavorful. Highlights from the lunch menu were a seared ahi tuna appetizer featuring creative ginger, scallion, and soy condiments; crispy pork belly mac & cheese (not at all salty), and braised short rib tacos with house-made tortillas and delicious salsa and sauce.

I consider this to be one of the better restaurants in Tucson for the quality of food alone. Coupled with the ambience, this is in the top few for a special occasion.

Excellent “old world” experience. A lot of history with the Arizona Inn, and it shows in the attention to detail. Creative food choices, and quality service.

What an absolutely lovely and delightful evening! We enjoyed a beautiful date night and were treated to absolutely five-star service by Melody. The atmosphere was quaint and lovely as Bob, the pianist there for over 40 years played beautifully in the bar area and could be heard throughout the restaurant. The tasting menu and the diver scallops were fabulous. History in this beautiful place is definitely worth the visit and we will return during our next visit to AZ (from Iowa).

I really want to like this restaurant however it just keeps going" down hill". We have frequented the Arizona Inn since 1992. Up until 2012 it had kept it's reputation as a first class establishment. Lately, that has changed. This evening was not an enjoyable event. Waiting 1/2 hour for our wine, my entree was the wrong entree and had to be sent back for a replacement and my wife's pork tenderloin was over cooked and not in keeping with the menu description. Not happy and will not return.

Dinner was great. The food was excellent and the kitchen was very accommodating.

Our two servers were great. We were there on Monday October 9th at around 7.15pm. I apologize that I do not have the names or our 2 servers.

We will be back

We went for Sunday brunch yesterday before a play. The food quality was so high, that it made us want to try the main dining room for dinner soon. Whoever was in the kitchen (and buying the fruit and other ingredients) definitely knew what he/she was doing --much better than ever!

As always, the dining room is gorgeous and perfect for good conversation!

The chef does not know how to prepare a filet medium rare to rare. My husband sent his meal back twice. First one was med well to well done. Next time it was well done. I think It was dis-respectful as it got further away from what was ordered. It was a $42 filet and we should not expect it to be dry and overdone. Not what we anticipated from such a nice restaurant. We were celebrating a new home in the state. 😒 They made it right by not charging for the bad filets and giving us a desert. Lame. I believe much is on the chef but also on the server who merely delivers it? Replace that level of service and judgement with a robot. Not charging for the $42 filet is not enough. Our evening was ruined and my wife ate but I went home Hungary after spending $100 plus. $50 plus bottle of wine and a $45 duck. At least bring me another filet for free or something to eat!!

We have a tradition of taking our daughter there for a birthday breakfast each year. The Arizona Inn never disappoints, and this time they provided a beautiful free birthday dessert at the end of the meal. A lovely experience, as always.

Went to have breakfast with a dear friend and had a lovely time. I love your Brussels spouts and cheese dish you make there. I asked if they could make it even though we were there for breakfast and they made an exception for us! It was as great as when I had it for a appetizer a few days earlier. I believe our gal was training and she did a great job! The gift shop was great too and we found some unquie items.

Friends were visiting from California, and wanted a spot for a quiet lunch with my wife and me. I immediately thought of the Arizona Inn: it is convenient to where we live (about a mile), I have had several excellent lunches there over the years, and the ambiance is conducive to conversation. It met all our expectations!

This was by far the best dining experience we have had since leaving the Philadelphia area 7 years ago. The service was of the highest professional quality. The Chef's Tasting Menu was very well presented with just the right portions. We are already planning a return when out-of-state friends visit, as well as a repeat for the same special occasion next year.

It was my husband's birthday and he asked to go there for his lunch. I am recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease, which often makes eating out challenging. The number of GF options was impressive and greatly appreciated. Didn't notice as many Paleo, unless they are referring to GF, which is great but not always Paleo. For example Mayonnaise used in the salads. We both ordered something different and were pleased. Our waiter was delightful. Probably a UA student and eager to please. He offered to check with the kitchen on several questions.
Unfortunately, at the adjoining table was a woman who felt compelled to use her "outside" voice. Not enjoyable but not the restaurant's problem. Always a wonderful experience.

My girlfriend knew about Arizona Inn and suggested we spend a weekend there. Everything about the room, dining room and our Saturday night dinner was outstanding. I could say awesome, but I hate that overused word.

Thanks so much for everything and I am sure we will come back sometime from Scottsdale.

The Arizona Inn is always a really sublime atmosphere; very traditional; very beautiful. The cuisine has changed over the years, and some of the newer sauces, and combinations are not to my liking, but would not stop going there because it is a Tucson landmark. And they do make great cocktails, but the prices have really gone sky-high...in keeping with its reputation no doubt.

We went there with 8 people for brunch for a birthday. Although there was only 3 other tables, service was seriously lacking. It took forever to get our server's attention for anything. We ordered food, and it was very disappointing. Three of us had the Eggs Benedict, and the eggs were hard boiled. The others had scrambled eggs that were either like rubber or not fully cooked. Although the dining room is lovely, quiet, and full of history, we won't be back.

Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary this past Sunday evening. First time at this location in Tucson and it was a great night since it wasn't overly crowded and the noise level in the dining room was minimal. You could even hear music from the piano player at the bar. Wonderful place for a special meal as the price is for a high level of GREAT food. Portions were a little large, but we adapted. Food preparation and presentation was fantastic as you might expect for this type of restaurant. Don't expect to see your primary waiter/waitress very much as they are only visible when you order your meal. You will see a multitude of waiting staff bringing your food and making sure everything was prepared correctly. Do not expect to be rushed during the meal. This is not a restaurant where you will be able to eat and pay in less than 20 minutes. We were there for over 1 1/2 hours sitting through four courses of our meal. This didn't count the added special Chef treat before the meal started. This was the first location we have celebrated our anniversary where they actually read the reservation request to note it was our anniversary. Special presentation on the courtesy desserts for us that evening. While I would have wished a better table (other than at the entrance to the kitchen), we really loved this restaurant as it helped us make our anniversary celebration one to really remember. If you going to eat at this restaurant for the first time -- be prepared for an adventure in finding it in Tucson. It is located in a historical district across the U of A Main Hospital, but unless you know it is there, you won't find it!
