Brunch was very tasty! Always a pleasure to visit this beautifully landscaped resort!
This is a special place my husband and I dated a lot before we got married. It always brings special memories back for me. It was great to take an old friend there for a nice breakfast.
This was a pre-theater dinner with our two grand-daughters, so we had to leave by 7. Unfortunately dinner service didn't begin until 5:30. Nevertheless, I thought we would have enough time. Even though we informed our server about our time issues, dinner came slowly. We did not get our main courses until 6:25, so we were quite rushed at the end. Since we ordered from the regular menu, I thought we could have been served a bit sooner. Also, if the restaurant wants any pre-theater business (it is the closest nice dining restaurant to Centennial Hall, at the U of A), they might consider moving up their dinner service to 5PM on theater nights.
That being said, the food was very good, service-except for pacing was good, and the atmosphere was great. Our grand-daughters loved it.
Loved the atmosphere and everyone in the party enjoyed their meal. It was a bit noisy at first but was very pleasant. My wife is in a wheel chair and they were very accommodating and helpful in directing us to ramps etc. Highly recommend the Inn.
Excellent food. A nice place to meet friends to talk and catch up.
Impeccable service. Food was very good. Salmon and duck were excellent. The scallops tasted fine but two of us ordered them. One plate was lovely and presentation was excellent. The other looked like the plate had been dropped or at least bumped hard. Veggies were not in a nice grouping, zucchini was thrown on top rather haphazardly and the sauce was all over the plate. The taste was delicious but the presentation for one of our guests was not good.
A very nice place to have a great dinner. Quiet, good food, good service and non intrusive staff. The wine list could use some additions.
Great ambiance, and a must for history buffs.
Very disaapointing. We had the lamb burgers and they were overcooked and tasteless. The gluten fee pretzel rolls were awful. They were dry and tasteless. The french onion soup was pathetic. Lots of bread and little soup
We recently relocated to Tucson and are set to exploring this city. The Arizona Inn came highly recommended by several people. We chose to try Sunday brunch. The Bloody Marys were great! Just the right level of spicy. I had southwestern eggs Benedict. Delicious doesn’t begin to describe how good they were. I highly recommend seating outside to enjoy the gardens. It is definitely a repeat for us.
This is my second time for breakfast. The historic hotel is fascinating and the grounds and ambiance is lovely.
I was disappointed at the cost of a traditional breakfast and my bagel with cold salmon.
They even had run out of their homemade preserves . Cost with tip was $ 40.00 , I though this was excessive for what we got.
Two times is enough for me.
thoroughly enjoyed the historic architectural ambience. service and food were great.
would be happy to return
Very nice, classic location. Several active dining areas, from quite formal to informal and outdoors. Extra rooms and a courtyard available, but seemingly unused during our stay, for parties or events. Food was generally very good.
Great place for a business lunch.
This is my favorite place for special friends and special days. We chose to dine in the outside dining area for breakfast. The almond encrusted french toast is a favorite. The beautifully maintained gardens with the scent of flowers only enhanced our experience. I recommend the Arizona Inn to everyone.
This dining room is old school beautiful with high ceilings. Our waiter was very accommodating because one of our party had a delayed plane and he held our food and let us stay late. The menu choices were fantastic, including salads and desserts. The atmosphere gets quieter as the evening goes on. Beautiful outdoor atmosphere for brunch.
We like to come to the Arizona Inn for special occasions. The ambience and service are superb and it is quiet enough for real conversations. The food is very good and there is a lot of variety. We also love the slice of history it presents. A not-to-miss in Tucson.
Beautiful environment and delicious food! I would return in a heartbeat!! Loved it.
The bar can be pretty crowded in the evening. AI is Tucson’s gem.
Our cocktails were excellent - we each had a version of a Manhattan. The menu offers more casual options than you might expect. We had the balsamic brussel sprouts for an appetizer - plenty for two to four people. For entrees, I had the shrimp linguini and my husband had a pork dish. Both meals were very good. The lower level dining area was a bit too noisy for me, so I am glad we were seated in the first dining room you enter upon arrival. We were still close enough to enjoy the background music coming from the piano player in that room.
A few of us from out of town visited the historic Arizona Inn. A couple people in our group read a book about the beginning of the Arizona Inn. The Inn has great history but the dining room food needs changes to raise it to its historic reputation. The ambiance in the main dining room was wonderful. Food and wait staff have room for improvement. The price for the meals was very reasonable but not a food destination at this time. We had drinks in the lounge during our last visit and it was a very nice experience.
We were visiting our daughter and her husband. We wanted to try a new place and we were very pleased.
We have dined here several times with good results but usually with four people rather than two. We were seated in a small dining room away from the main dining area with two large groups; this would not be our first choice as it is out of the way and we felt overlooked. Our starter was very good, spring rolls, but the mains were disappointing. We won’t return again if this is our only choice of dining venue and the food not better prepared. Really disappointing!
We were at the Arizona Inn with our friends celebrating my birthday. The food was deliciousand the service excellent. My sister-in-law arranged to provide a round of drinks and my dessert ahead of time complete with a card. We never felt rushed and our server was always available without being intrusive. It was a wonderful birthday!!
Another wonderful dining experience! We met friends for brunch and ate outside. It was their first time at the Inn, and they were very impressed with the food, the grounds and the general ambience.
We all ordered breakfasts and every item was great. LOVE the scones. Great coffee.
A great place for formal or casual dining!
My husband and I went there for a date night, a quiet dinner away from the craziness...It was my first time at the Arizona Inn. It was wonderful in every way and we look very forward to returning for another great evening.
Another great meal at the Arizona Inn. Started with an amuse bouche followed by a nice meal for the two of us with fine service. Decent wine list, great old school ambiance. Had a Smoky Paloma cocktail in the downstairs bar first. They comped us a lovely dessert assortment for our anniversary. Great experience. Highly recommended.
Service was exquisite, present but not obtrusive. Food was superb and great deserts.
We have gone here twice for special occasions and had a wonderful meal. Both times we have done the wine pairings menu but have agreed not to do that again as it is quite expensive ($350 before tip so over $400 for two people) and the wine gets less and less special as the meal progresses.
People in the room were dressed in every possible type of attire from shorts and polo shirts to coat and tie. Service was good, not outstanding but unobtrusive. It was raining and I wish there had been some sort of valet parking.
In short, an excellent meal with adequate service bur very expensive!
Service was exceptional, brought each course out at appropriate times, weren’t rushed even though it was Valentine’s Day. Will definitely go back and stay when in Tucson. The Arizona Inn offers High Noon Tea and have a great bar as well.
One of our favorite places. A very high quality “traditional” restaurant.
We are frequent guests here, and this time attended their Easter buffet dinner. We found the food good, but not up to the standards we usually expect here. I had the shrimp to start, the lobster bisque, the mussels for the main course. All were over seasoned with heavy sauces, and the bisque quite salty. Desert of many different little things was enjoyed by my wife, not by me. I would not return for their next buffet.
Ron took terrific care of us. The lunch was delicious, and the dining room was lovely!
It is always a pleasure to have a meal at the Arizona Inn. The food is always great. I had a strip steak, which was tender and flavorful. The service was a bit slow this visit, but overall, a good meal, as usual.
We had a lovely meal. Very nice ambiance, and service. If I were to change anything I would offer more variety on the menu. I had a scallop dish that was very tasty. My friend had the duck which he very much enjoyed. We also shared the salmon appetizer, that was beautifully served on a slab, and ample for two to share.
All in all the Arizona Inn is a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
We brought our out of town guests to the Arizona Inn for dinner and they absolutely loved it. Everything is so elegant and beautifully done and the food is fabulous! This is our most favorite place to share with others.
Great service and great food.
We had another delightful dinner at the Arizona Inn. I had the scallops which were delicious. Our two friends had the tasting menu which they enjoyed very much. The setting is very comfortable and sophisticated
Arizona Inn is always our "go to" spot for a birthday celebration. We love the atmosphere and charm of the Inn, the grounds are beautiful, the food is great and the Sam Hughes location makes it close and convenient. We highly recommend it for special occasions, or just simply as a lovely place to enjoy a great meal.
Great food, nice ambiance, intimate space for conversation and attentive service.
Wonderful food. Gentile atmosphere. Fabulous desserts. Great service!
