Arizona Inn - Dining Room Ratings and Reviews
We were at the Arizona Inn with our friends celebrating my birthday. The food was deliciousand the service excellent. My sister-in-law arranged to provide a round of drinks and my dessert ahead of time complete with a card. We never felt rushed and our server was always available without being intrusive. It was a wonderful birthday!!
Another wonderful dining experience! We met friends for brunch and ate outside. It was their first time at the Inn, and they were very impressed with the food, the grounds and the general ambience.
We all ordered breakfasts and every item was great. LOVE the scones. Great coffee.
A great place for formal or casual dining!
Another great meal at the Arizona Inn. Started with an amuse bouche followed by a nice meal for the two of us with fine service. Decent wine list, great old school ambiance. Had a Smoky Paloma cocktail in the downstairs bar first. They comped us a lovely dessert assortment for our anniversary. Great experience. Highly recommended.
We have gone here twice for special occasions and had a wonderful meal. Both times we have done the wine pairings menu but have agreed not to do that again as it is quite expensive ($350 before tip so over $400 for two people) and the wine gets less and less special as the meal progresses.
People in the room were dressed in every possible type of attire from shorts and polo shirts to coat and tie. Service was good, not outstanding but unobtrusive. It was raining and I wish there had been some sort of valet parking.
In short, an excellent meal with adequate service bur very expensive!
We are frequent guests here, and this time attended their Easter buffet dinner. We found the food good, but not up to the standards we usually expect here. I had the shrimp to start, the lobster bisque, the mussels for the main course. All were over seasoned with heavy sauces, and the bisque quite salty. Desert of many different little things was enjoyed by my wife, not by me. I would not return for their next buffet.
We had a lovely meal. Very nice ambiance, and service. If I were to change anything I would offer more variety on the menu. I had a scallop dish that was very tasty. My friend had the duck which he very much enjoyed. We also shared the salmon appetizer, that was beautifully served on a slab, and ample for two to share.
All in all the Arizona Inn is a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Arizona Inn is always our "go to" spot for a birthday celebration. We love the atmosphere and charm of the Inn, the grounds are beautiful, the food is great and the Sam Hughes location makes it close and convenient. We highly recommend it for special occasions, or just simply as a lovely place to enjoy a great meal.
The Arizona Inn dining room has a classic old hotel ambience. The live piano music was enjoyable, and the noise level was very low, allowing for easy conservation and pleasant dining. The menu has a good variety of choices with several vegetarian options (the vegetarian burger is quite tasty). A prix fixe menu was available but was not vegetarian. Wine list is pretty good
We went for an anniversary dinner and had the Chef's tasting menu with the wine pairing. Everything was delicious! Many different flavors and textures but you did not have the issue of many upscale city restaurants that try too hard to combine too many flavors; the flavors at Arizona Inn were delicious and complimented each other very well. The dining room was cozy and the perfect place for a relaxed happy anniversary meal. 3 glasses of wine with the wine pairing was generous and I absolutely loved the white wine. I will definitely return!
I hadn't been to the Inn for Sunday brunch in a couple of years. The food was always fairly good, but the new menu is MUCH better. We each had omelettes (vegetarian and bacon) that were well filled with ingredients. BE sure to opt for the scones instead of toast as a side, They're delicious.
The lamb was chewy and the sauce was very simple and salty. It just didn't taste good, and I love lamb. The coconut dessert was terrible, but the other desserts were good. We enjoyed the space, it is beautiful and worth visiting, but would just order a glass of wine or dessert next time.
Very disappointing dining experience. We were put in a back room all by ourselves. Service was slow initially and average at best. Main course meals were completely inadequate. Both filets were on the cold side. One was well overdone. Management knew the filet was over cooked and still served it. We had a party of 9, other meals were basically underwhelming. When they brought out a new filet, they cleared the table while one person was still eating their new filet. Was very surprised such a fine establishment treated us so poorly.
Beautiful historical restaurant and hotel! Christmas decor is lovely. A little disappointed in the hamburger and fries. Asked for no pink for hamburger and it was under-cooked. Not much garnish on the burger. I think it was called the Inn Burger. Shoestring fries were bland with no seasoning. Wished I had ordered one of the turkey or roast beef sandwiches or salad which other people in my party had. They said the dishes were very good. All lunch dishes were generous helpings!
