I find Aristos to be consistently good- I have several dishes I usually get -
While giving my son, who is a student of the Greek language, an authentic Greek cuisine experience I discovered for myself the wonder that is Greek food! Simply put the food is exceptional the staff were courteous, knowledgeable, and treated every guest as though they were family. It is a bit pricey for the smaller portions but as fantastic as it was it wouldn’t ever detour me from going back again and again! That’s the mark of perfection when it comes to food.
They were out of several items - but what they did have was good.
The food was amazing and will keep me coming back. It just seemed they may have been short on servers.
Delicious, authentic Greek food. Great, friendly service. Options for small plates and/or entrees. Excellent hummus and other spreads. Only negative was that they were out of lamb osso bucco and all but one dessert--by 6pm on a Friday night!
A great valentine dinner!
Fresh and authentic! Service was great and very accommodating! We are excited to return and try more of the menu!
My wife and I are avid fine diners and this the first time I have felt compelled to leave a review after a dinner. We went to Aristos for a weekend date night and were incredibly impressed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner, Aristo. We put in a special request to have him select a tasting menu for us and were blown away by everything we were served. Food was incredible, with service to match. It is not often I leave a restaurant shocked with how low our bill was for all of the food we ate, but we were incredibly satisfied. Each table was filled with happy people. Aristo stole the show, wonderful owner, fantastic host, have never felt so much like instant friends with an owner ever before. Definitely a destination for your must-dine list!
Best Greek food around!
Absolutely love the Kotopoulo (chicken Ala Aristo) and the Horiatiki salad!
Never disappointed when we go!!
The best lamb in town!! It fell off the bone and was so tender and juicy. My associate ordered a vegan dish which she loved. We continued to talk about our meals the next day.
First rate in all aspects. Fantastic small plate options as well as full entrees. Superior Greek food. The best we’ve had anywhere, including in Greece.
The food was great, but sometimes they run out of stuff. It's also pricey, but they import lamb from NZ so it kind of makes sense. When we were there it was super loud. Just people talking very loudly.
The service was a little slow when we went. We had to ask for refills on our drinks after waiting with empty glasses for a while to spot our server. The back of the restaurant has nicer ambiance than the front.
Aristo's offers an excellent dining experience: Greek food, excellent service, good wine list. It is excellent place for tapas before a show. My only complaint is it got a little smokey from something that was cooking. Maybe they need to improve their exhaust fans.
Service was very slow. 45 minutes until appetizers and the salad came at the same time. My husband never got his entree. Disappointing.
Great meal! Make sure you tell the wait staff if you have a time constraint.
The food is consistently good and the service is excellent. We come her often before a play or when we want a good meal. Highly recommended!
Excellent choice for Greek food. The server was knowledgeable and helpful. Every dish we ordered was wonderful.
Food always good and always making it better when service is slow.
We were craving authentic Greek food after we returned from Greece and were thrilled when we found Aristos. The hummus is to die for and the Flight of the Gyros gives you an authentic taste of all gyros without being overwhelming huge. We live across the valley and it has always been worth the drive for this amazing dining experience and meal.
Aristo's has always been an enjoyable place to eat. Greek/Mediterranean fare with lots of interesting possibilities. They have gone to a small plate and entrée style which gives the opportunity to try a greater variety of things. I love the fried smelt as an appetizer. Like eating French fried fish. Pleasant atmosphere and good service. Parking is the only issue but it is usually possible.
We had a late res and the service was still amazing. Loved our waitress!
I had such a delicious meal there with friends. The wine was lovely also! I got the stuffed pepper, tomato, and zucchini cooked in a clay pot and it was divine. Would recommend!
Awesome food and service. The sea bass is the best in the valley.
Food was solid -- lamb ribs, especially. For a saturday night, a lot less crowded than I would have imagined.
Aristo’s offers such an interesting menu and interesting cocktails as well. Can’t wait to go back to try more . Lamb ribs fell off the bone. And for dessert try the rice pudding...just like Nana makes!
Best Greek food in town!
Amazing food, great atmosphere and excellent service!
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant. Having dined in Greek restaurants all over the United States, and indeed all over the world, this is certainly one of the best. The octopus is tender and flavorful. The lamb chops are perfectly seasoned and grilled. The taramasalata was fantastic! Even the Greek coffee was made like the ones that I have in Kolonaki in Athena every summer. If you are in Salt Lake city for business or pleasure, make the effort to have dinner at this wonderful establishment. Aristides is a gracious host and a master chef.
We can always count on Aristo’s for a satisfying meal. Veg friendly and marvelous flavors. And who can pass up the Retsina? Thanks for respecting our need to get to Pioneer theatre and providing a wonderful meal.
Excellent, authentic Greek food in SLC. Aristo knows what he's doing.
