Aristo's Ratings and Reviews
Second time(second year) the four of us dined here when visiting the area...We like the food and Fernando was a delightful server! Definitely will share a small salad next time as the delicious Greek salad was too much for two people. Generous portion of Greek olives in the salad. It was too large tho' as we started our meal with the fried smelt and the generous serving was filling. Chicken breast with sauteed greens and served over very flavorful rice was excellent. The gyros tasters with choices of meats were delicious and the potatoes tasty. The pork chops were tender and tasty. Would have loved dessert but they were out of baklaava which amazed us...no Greek restaurant should be out of that!!!!!!!!!! Nice cocktails with the smelt....almost forgot the martini.
We travel the country and try to hit as many restaurants featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. This was our 47th DDD restaurant, and we're very happy with our choice. Excellent service, and our waiter was very helpful with food selection. The food was very good, with nice presentation. Would recommend to anyone. And thanks Guy, for the recommendation.
Very disappointing experience. Recently moved here from Denver, which does not have upscale Greek restaurants, and where looking so forward to coming here.
The menu and photos looked great. Maybe it was that we dined on a Monday night, but the waiter was not on his game. The octopus was great but the anchovies where extremely fishy. The Greek salad was over plated which made it hard to eat.
Also, the chair look like they where from a hotel banquet room from the 70's.
I cannot understand how at 6:30 on a Saturday night a restaurant can already be out of 2 entrees, one salad, and one dessert. It was not busy when we arrived, nor when we left. Overall experience was just meh. Saganaki was not flambeed at the table, so the cheese was already firmed back up when it was served to us. Our other appetizer (forget name) could have used a bit of seasoning (no S&P is on the table). Sea bass turned out to be a whole fish, which was dreadfully overcooked, not meaty at all, and was served to us before we were finished with appetizers. The sad little fish was definitely not worth $33. But the truly egregious price gouging was on the dessert, which was $12. It was delicious, but not $12 worth of delicious. I used to love coming to Aristo's. Maybe they were having an off night, but we certainly won't be rushing to return.
I brought my girlfriend here for her Birthday and we had an amazing time. The menu offers both entree style or traditional Greek style with multiple smaller dishes for everyone to share. We ordered a fair amount of food and everything on the menu was fantastic and the perfect serving size. The service was perfect, the staff knew the food very well and were able to explain what everything was and how it was made. Big shout out to Nora, who offers exceptional service and treated us very well. I'd recommend this to my friends and we'll be returning. Thanks to everyone who worked that night for making our time memorable!
I took my Greek mother-in-law to Aristos but was a bit nervous being that she's a native of Greece. The service given to us by Antony was top notch. He answered all our questions and made recommendations. Their grilled flat bread that accompanies your food is delicious and filling. From the appetizers to the dessert, my mother-in-law said it was the best Greek food she's ever had at a restaurant outside of Greece. YAY!!
The food in this restaurant is great, you can't go wrong . We had 4 different plates and all met our expectation. The only bad thing I have to say , where the flys ! We had two if not 3 flys coming back and fourth to our table , the people next to us as Well. So if you can find a way to get rid of them then it would be perfect.
It was a very nice atmosphere, the waiter was great and very attentive to are needs. We had great mini guyos starters with fries. Then are entrees were lamb shank and salmon which both were good. You honestly get a ton of food so maybe share if u eat smaller portions! But great Greek food will eat here again.
I was in Salt Lake City with my son for a sports tournament, and fortunately just before we went, we saw this restaurant featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Guy was correct! I had his recs--grilled octopus and lamb taco. Yum. My son had lamb chops with gorgeous fries. All was high quality. I will say the chef is heavy with lemon, which I'm ok with!!
Aristos is always fun and I really enjoy the food. We were attending a sold out concert at Kinsbury Hall that night so I got reservations for 6:00 p.m. It appeared that many others had reservations too because it was reasonably crowded for a Monday. However, it did not appear that the restaurant considered the number of reservations and the concert when staffing. So, although our server was very nice, the kitchen was backed up and it took a long time to get wine and food. But, I still really like this restaurant and I come often.
We enjoyed our time at the restaurant but we did have to wait a really long time. It took an hour for our waiter to get our entree order and it felt as if we got forgotten inside (with tables next to us) as they attended guests outside. I have been to this location before and have enjoyed it every time, this trip was different unfortunately due to how busy they were, but the food overall makes me come back.
I scored the restaurant only 3 on service not because of the waiter who was very knowledgeable and professional but because of the hostess who we thought was rude. The moment we entered the restaurant she asked us if we were the people who had made a reservation 30 minutes prior. We said yes. She replied that they don't accept 30 min notice for reservation (even though we were able to book it online) but since there were empty seats, she could sat us and directed another host to do that. We didn't like the tone nor the attitude which were unnecessary.
The food is so good! But our table was absolutely AWFUL!! There is a skylight that has no covering and the sun was in our face for half the time we were there. If that wasn't bad, the air conditioning was blowing on our feet. It made our evening for a special celebration so uncomfortable, we were glad to leave!!
