Thursday - Saturday 11am - 10pm
We have been going to Aristo's for years, but tonight neither the service nor the food were up to their usual standards. While the drinks and appetizer arrived quickly enough, the requested extra pitas and the main course took a very long time to appear. When main course was finally served, it seemed like the plates had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. The meat in the lamb/beef gyros was dried out, the fries were limp and over salted. The server never asked if we wanted refills on our beer and wine. Based on tonight's visit, I would not recommend this restaurant. Let's hope it was a one-time fluke.
I love the authentic Greek fare especially the little lamb gyro sliders. We went on Saturday for our anniversary dinner. After 30 minutes the waitress came over and said she had lost her mind and walked by our table a half dozen times before the hostess reminded her we needed service. I ordered the mussels in ouzo broth. It was served with no broth. After convinving the waitress that it should have broth, she finally asked the kitchen to remake it. I was able to eat half my mussels with broth as I was told to eat slow becausethe broth takes time to prepare. It should have been fully remade with fresh mussels in my opinion. Dinner was delicious and our drinks were kept full; however, after this experience and the previous where the service is subpar we will be saying no more to Aristos. We can get much better service and pay a few dollars less for Mediterranean food elsewhere.
The food and service was very good and it was nice to be out on the patio for a nice dinner.
In the past when dining at Aristo's the service was outstanding and so was the dining experience. Maybeit was an off night. Our reservations where for 6:30. Two members of our party were a little late, but we ordered appetizers anyway way and wine. The appetizers took over a half hour, none of them had to be cooked. Our dinner took almost an hour to be served. The majority of the entrees were well reeived, but those of us that ordered the chicken with spinach and feta was sub par, nothing like it used to be, which was the best!
Very fun and professional. My wife and I loved it!
Having been to Aristo’s many times over many years, this turned out to be an odd dining experience. Air conditioning not working, one of the dining areas under construction with wood and saw out in the middle of the room, a waiter who seemed angry and kept disappearing for 20 minutes at a time. We watched one table turn over twice during the time we were there. We were told there was trouble with the kitchen and no desserts were available. Funny, but the food was delicious when it arrived. It just took forever which greatly detracted from the overall experience. Guess we hit an “off” nite.
Great service! Food is amazing!
The service at Aristo's is very good, and the food is outstanding.
The food and atmosphere were wonderful! Our server Cat was phenomenal! She had great recommendations for food and wine and we didn’t leave disappointed. I would go here again in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend it (especially if you get Cat as your server, she made all the difference)!
Fish was dry and overcooked, overpriced.
It was uncomfortably warm inside. Would not return
We visit Aristo's whenever we can! Their drinks are on point, and the food is amazing! We enjoy the Oxtapodi every visit. It's not to be missed.
Aristos needs a new lentil soup recipe and a far better way to store their wine. The reds are almost always corked or have been ruined by heat.
I'm so glad I found Aristo's on Yelp during my visit to Salt Lake City. The food was terrific! And it was a great place to celebrate my friend's birthday - even with her 20 month-old along for the meal. We ate outside on the patio & had a wonderful time.
Authentic Greek food, prepared and served with creativity and pride. We especially enjoy the wide variety of meze (small plates) and “street food” that makes it fun to share. Try the saganaki - delicious! Perfect for pre theater dining if visiting Pioneer Memorial Theater or events on the U of U campus.
I LOVED everything about this little place. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for how incredible it tasted. I was worried it would feel a little too fancy based on the website photographs; but, it remained cozy and homey whilst still being contemporary and sumptuous - similar to the feel of most European restaurants I've been to abroad. The wait staff was very attentive and FUN!
Orr friends and we were celebrating a movie and dinner night. The restaurant was very crowded, but we still received prompt attention and polite service. The food was delicious. We will go back very soon.
I will NEVER return to Aristos. We ordered a selection of appetizers and soup. The appetizers were fine and just as expected. The flavor of the lemon rice soup was good but our bowls were chipped. I was worried that there may have been chipped glass from the bowl in my soup. My dinner came to the table on the cool side. I informed my server, told him it was not hot, and that I didn't want it. The server returned from the kitchen and told me that the owner decided my food was just fine and boxed it up. I was told I could go home and warm it. I could not believe it! I asked the server to remove this entree (not anything else) from my bill and the he explained to me that the owner refused. It's crazy to me that my $20 entree was so important to the owner that he charge me for it. Now I wont ever be a customer again. Tripping over dollars for pennies.
Such a great meal!
Always sooo good!
Service was great and the food was amazing. I’m just really happy to have such an incredible Greek place to take people to.
A delicious gem! Tucked into a neighborhood with a GREAT patio, the food, service, overall experience were incredible!
Food was OK but service was very slow. The live music was very good.
The food service was initially pretty slow but it picked up after the first food was brought to the table. And our waitress, Taylor, was very nice!
We live a long ways away and this has been on our recommended list for a while. We have been looking for a good Greek food restaurant. We went there before a play and had a quiet corner table. The food was OUTSTANDING! It exceeded our expectations even with the hype given to us by relatives. The pace of service was perfect; the congeniatlity of the staff was excellent. We will definitely drive down again, just for the food!
We've visited Aristo's twice now and I'm sure we'll be returning over and over again. The only thing that could have been better was the temperature of the place - it was a little hot on both occasions. Other than that, it's simply a great place to fulfill your Greek food cravings. Everything we've tried on the menu so far has been really good!
I have been here twice now. Each time has been a great experience. Service was excellent and food hot and delicious. I order a Talos drink which had ginger and it was surprisingly good.
Thank you for not disappointing.
The hostess failed to inform a waiter we had been seated. As a result we went unserved for over 45 minutes. Not a single waiter asked if we had been helped. I reached out to a waitress and informed her. She began service but her service was still minimal as she was very busy and picked us up as an extra.
Excellent food; quality preparation. Small plates are an excellent value. Reservations recommended on weekends.
Delicious food and great service. If I am ever back in Salt Lake City, I will definitely go back.
Probably my favorite restaurant in SLC!
Food was good, however the portions were small for the price.
We had an excellent meal and the service was very good. I have never had a bad meal at Aristo's. The quality of the food is excellent. Great place for any occasion.
A new find for us in Salt Lake City. We tried several small plates as well as a gyros for a late lunch on a Saturday.
Will definitely be back.
Loved this place! A small inviting restaurant with really delicious Greek classics and modern twists. Service was friendly and prices reasonable. Definitely returning.
My recommendations: Go for the 4-spread selection as an appetizer - all were delicious but the tzatziki (cucumber and yogurt) and eggplant were my favs. The horiatiki greek salad was nice and light with a healthy amount of feta! The stuffed chicken and cheese dish was amazing! Going in a small group allowed us to sample a bunch of things together-- from pork skewers, to grilled lamb, and even octopus. All yummy!!
Overall it was good.
It Was Very Romantic And The Ambiance Reeked Of Being In Greece The Food Was Splendidly Fascinating I Will Be Back Again For Sure ...
Terrible service. Waited forever for our food and then it was cold and our order was incorrect. I’ve been to this restaurant many times without an issue but tonight was unacceptable.
Food was outstanding and the best we had during our trip to Utah. Ambiance didn’t live up to the food, but we would go back next time we are in town because the food was delicious!
Aristo’s is normally very good. Our reservation was for 3 on a Friday at 6:30pm. It took an hour to get out food and our waiter was absent most of the time.
You were out of many things.
I know you had some private parties, but it was a very frustrating and disappointing evening.
