Aristo's Ratings and Reviews
While giving my son, who is a student of the Greek language, an authentic Greek cuisine experience I discovered for myself the wonder that is Greek food! Simply put the food is exceptional the staff were courteous, knowledgeable, and treated every guest as though they were family. It is a bit pricey for the smaller portions but as fantastic as it was it wouldn’t ever detour me from going back again and again! That’s the mark of perfection when it comes to food.
My wife and I are avid fine diners and this the first time I have felt compelled to leave a review after a dinner. We went to Aristos for a weekend date night and were incredibly impressed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner, Aristo. We put in a special request to have him select a tasting menu for us and were blown away by everything we were served. Food was incredible, with service to match. It is not often I leave a restaurant shocked with how low our bill was for all of the food we ate, but we were incredibly satisfied. Each table was filled with happy people. Aristo stole the show, wonderful owner, fantastic host, have never felt so much like instant friends with an owner ever before. Definitely a destination for your must-dine list!
The food was great, but sometimes they run out of stuff. It's also pricey, but they import lamb from NZ so it kind of makes sense. When we were there it was super loud. Just people talking very loudly.
The service was a little slow when we went. We had to ask for refills on our drinks after waiting with empty glasses for a while to spot our server. The back of the restaurant has nicer ambiance than the front.
Aristo's offers an excellent dining experience: Greek food, excellent service, good wine list. It is excellent place for tapas before a show. My only complaint is it got a little smokey from something that was cooking. Maybe they need to improve their exhaust fans.
We were craving authentic Greek food after we returned from Greece and were thrilled when we found Aristos. The hummus is to die for and the Flight of the Gyros gives you an authentic taste of all gyros without being overwhelming huge. We live across the valley and it has always been worth the drive for this amazing dining experience and meal.
Aristo's has always been an enjoyable place to eat. Greek/Mediterranean fare with lots of interesting possibilities. They have gone to a small plate and entrée style which gives the opportunity to try a greater variety of things. I love the fried smelt as an appetizer. Like eating French fried fish. Pleasant atmosphere and good service. Parking is the only issue but it is usually possible.
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant. Having dined in Greek restaurants all over the United States, and indeed all over the world, this is certainly one of the best. The octopus is tender and flavorful. The lamb chops are perfectly seasoned and grilled. The taramasalata was fantastic! Even the Greek coffee was made like the ones that I have in Kolonaki in Athena every summer. If you are in Salt Lake city for business or pleasure, make the effort to have dinner at this wonderful establishment. Aristides is a gracious host and a master chef.
Went to Aristos with my wife. We are both from Europe and at in many Greek restaurants.
This place serves the most authentic Greek food I have ever had in the United States.
The prices are pretty steep but than again, the food is excellent.
Reservations are easy to make online and specially Friday and Saturday highly recommended.
We’ll certainly come back for more!
Second time(second year) the four of us dined here when visiting the area...We like the food and Fernando was a delightful server! Definitely will share a small salad next time as the delicious Greek salad was too much for two people. Generous portion of Greek olives in the salad. It was too large tho' as we started our meal with the fried smelt and the generous serving was filling. Chicken breast with sauteed greens and served over very flavorful rice was excellent. The gyros tasters with choices of meats were delicious and the potatoes tasty. The pork chops were tender and tasty. Would have loved dessert but they were out of baklaava which amazed us...no Greek restaurant should be out of that!!!!!!!!!! Nice cocktails with the smelt....almost forgot the martini.
