Great care has gone into preparing our dinner! Amazing flavours and aesthetically pleasing presentation. The server was very helpful with recommendations and took care to ensure we enjoyed our food. Will definitely recommend and will return!

Went to Arike for Dine Out Vancouver 2020. First time trying Nigerian food and it was great! The meat was seasoned and cooked well, especially the super tender oxtail. The jollof rice was insanely flavourful. The habanero tested the upper limits of my spice tolerance, but I could still taste the tomato base. The Milo ice cream was sticky and satisfying after the spicy rice.

Wonderful service, delicious food, very unique cocktails. A little loud for my personal comfort and a little dark (older patrons nearby were using their cellphone flashlight to read the menu), but that's just me being a grumpy grandma and these are issues I have basically any time I'm out of the house past 7pm.

Food was really good. Server was all smiling and nice but she didn’t really take a real interest in your customers. I was very impressed by the rich flavours and wanted to ask her questions but she looked friendly and didn’t really take the time to connect with the customers. Rice was very good and in huge potion and the two skewers of meat seem small in proportions. Veggies aren’t too costly. It’d be great at least to add more veggies to balance things out. Food was very very good

Some of the dishes were spicy - so, that will definitely appeal to some patrons. The dishes were definitely unique, and I like the thought that the menu was inspired by the grandmother of the chef - a place to try again in the future.

Some of the dishes were quite good. Overall we found them too hot. I think they should tone the heat down for the average taste. Also, very small portions in most things for what was charged. I liked that they turned down the music when we asked. The server was friendly and personable. My boulevardier cocktail was well made. And so was my wife's cocktail. A small but excellent choice of beers.

Very interesting dishes with great flavours. Prices perhaps a bit high for what is served. The service was a bit light, but it was a snowy evening so staff may not have made it to work.

My husband and I opted to try out some of the appetizers and sides tapas style. We were not disappointed. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. The flavors are so well developed and creative. Definitely worth checking out for dinner then a short walk to the beach after!

Amazing flavors with unique combinations of the chef’s influences from home with North American fare. Each dish was deeply flavorful without being overwhelming. Presentation was expert without detracting from the enjoyment of the cooking.

Quiet little restaurant. Waiter was quick to attend to us. Menu says spicy but it really wasn't - I'm not into spicy food and I was able to handle everything. The portions were really small so it felt overpriced. Food had nice flavours.

Went for their oxtail and pork belly flat bread. Though flat bread was nice and sweet, their "pork belly" were little bits of bacon and shreds of oxtail were VERY difficult to find. Ordered a jallop rice with beef, very memorable as the beef was few compared to the bowl of rice that can feed a family of 4. $9 for 3 not-so-buttered shrimps is an absolute joke. Drinks, service, ambiance was decent. Walked out $80 short.

Delightful restaurant with people who care about good food - in house cured meats, house made soft cheese and all around delicious offerings. The Jollof rice is great - flat breads are delicious and the pof pof dessert is the perfect sweet ending to a really enjoyable food experience. Give it a try.

Food was delicious and waitress was knowledgeable. Food came quickly. Place was not busy at all, but I hope that changes for them soon. Maybe a good review will help, haha. My only criticism is that we would have liked the portions to be bigger -- because it was so tasty!
