Outstanding food, warm decor, attentive service. Uncharacteristically loud on this particular occasion, unfortunately.
Wonderful as always. Thank you Stephane!
The waiter Stephane was great
A contemporary, yet cozy classic. Refined, professional, cheerful and efficient service delivers spectacular presentations and distinctive flavors. Terrific hospitality from start to finish in a handsome setting.
Hadn’t been in ages (decade?). Classic. Every item was perfect.
Great food, came quickly. Staff very friendly and professional.
Good food, nice atmosphere and friendly service.
Great gastronomy and atmosphere
We had an outstanding lunch. Crab cakes, cob salad & green salad & a very nice wine recommended by their staff. Quiet, beautiful interior, service spot-on. We will definitely go again
Have the Lobster it was delicious as was the tuna tartare!
Excellent! Food and service.
Very good service. Knowledgeable bartender. Good steak and a Caesar salad. Expensive.
We love Aretsky’s Patroon! The entrees are very creative— the chef manages to fuse Asian with Western flavors. The service is always excellent. We come here regularly.
If you're looking for an elegant place, with excellent food and attentive service, this is highly recommended. We went during Restaurant Week for an incredible bargain.
Absolutely disappointed :( I live just next to the place and always wanted to pass by because it looked nice. The food was not only disappointing but just bad. Scallop was most definitely not fresh and even had very unpleasant pungent ammonia smell of shellfish that has gone bad. If they treated to make it soft they did it wrong. I came from seaside town and I know when its done right or wrong. Will not return
Great food, drinks and service. As always warmly greeted by all. Really one of Manhattan’s best dining experiences.
Amuse bouche was rather underwhelming, not as appetizing as it described.
1. Fluke Crudo was fresh with nice a presentation, but the dish itself could be more flavorful and possibly better served slightly more chilled (it was about room temperature.)
2. Scallops were seared perfectly, every component on the dish was well executed.
3. Chocolate dessert paired with peanut butter and caramel was rich in flavor, it was too dense and heavy in both texture and flavor to attempt to finish after 2-courses. I only managed to have about 1/3.
Bonus dessert was delicious, nice and light.
Amazing food, wine and service.
Food and service is always amazing. The little taste of appetizers and desserts are delicious. The staff is amazing. We would definitely dine here again.
The service, food and jazz music were outstanding. All contributed to very memorable experience!
Highly recommend the return to high service levels of the past.
I will be back and look forward to the old team!
This was a lovely outdoor lunch spot! The service was attentive and friendly and the food was tasty.
Would not recommend as too expensive for what is offered. Went on Restaurant Week.
Food and wine pairing was perfect. Wish the staff had done more to explain the pairing, dish, wine.
The dinner we had were very delicious and gorgeous looking. The price was reasonable. The waiter was very nice; and the owner came around to thank guests at every table and said good bye and thank you to us on our way out -- that was such a lovely touch.
However, the only unsatisfactory part was the table assign to us. We arrive very early at 6pm with barely any one insight, and we were given the table next to the restroom and bar room with two path ways for the waiters to bring various drinks and dishes to all the table. It was a very heavy traffic location in the very large and empty dining area of the restaurant. I was disappointed by the seating.
Great restaurant week experience!
I wish I could give six stars for Patroon and the service they give to its customers.
Restaurant week menu was a good value and tasty, except for desserts. Coconut gelato (/sorbet?), as well as the cookie plate at $14 from their regular menu were disappointing. Expected much more.
We had a fabulous dinner! The staff is fantastic! We received a warm welcome immediately upon entering. Our table was terrific, love the decor of the dining area. They had a wonderful string jazz duo playing. The service was excellent, can’t say enough about how wonderful the staff is! Attentive, professional, welcoming, just all around excellent service! The food was absolutely outstanding! We had Cesar salad that was prepared table side. We loved the filet mignon, probably the most delicious we have ever had! They have a terrific wine list and great cocktail menu. We will definitely be back! Don’t miss this amazing NYC dining experience!
We've been to Aretsky's Patroon a few times and it's consistently excellent. Service is very accommodating and professional. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. The Friday night Jazz Menu is a great value. The jazz music adds to the ambiance. You really feel you are special here!
The food always takes center stage but the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly too! I eat here frequently with clients - and the setting is perfect for a serious discussion - but I took my mother here for dinner and she loved it!
Excellent food. Tableside preparstion. Tremendous liquor and wine list.,Friendly staff. Been there 3 times. Greeted by owner every time
one of the better spots in the City--Mr. Aretsky is a pro.
Great food, servers, nice ambiance and friendly all the way around. A tad bit expensive but in its class and in New York by comparison to others price was on par.
Stephan, Stephan, Stephan, what else can be said of this special man!
Great experience. Only issue was the noise level - it was very loud. Would definitely return for business or social lunch, or just for a drink.
Class act midtown restaurant. Ken Aretsky still takes good care of his guests. Popular place, so Noise level at lunch can be a problem.
Exceeded every expectation. My new New York “go to”
The service, from the maitre d' to the bus boy, was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, accommodating, and professional. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and the restaurant took appropriate note of it: romantic table, good wishes, and a candlelit dessert. My husband took advantage of the Friday night prix fixe, and we both enjoyed the Friday night jazz. The food was good but not great as one would expect from the prices. The chef seems to decorate every plate with some form of greenery on top of the entree. It fills up the plate yet detracts from the main item. I would have preferred larger portions without green garnishment. Our personal taste is for simple food that is not gussied up with sauces or mixed with other ingredients so that none of them are distinguishable. We had a lovely dinner in a very pleasant atmosphere. We just would not be running back for the food. Give us filet mignon without way too salty bacon, and your nicely crisped duck and wild rice separate from each other, please.
