We had a lovely meal. The food was absolutely delicious along with attentive and efficient service. I was enamored with the photography on the walls in the main dining room. We were fortunate to have the assistant general manager stop by our table and we found out he was the son of the owner. He was kind enough to take us on a tour of the upstairs photography collection which was just amazing. Eclectic and classic photos. Highly recommend the dining experience but be sure to look up and experience the photography as well. Truly a special night for my husband and I. We look forward to a return visit.

I haven't ordered a BLT sandwich in a real restaurant in years, if ever. But there it was on the menu as a special. What made it special? How about a wonderful slice of Avocado. Yum! I wish I could have lunch at Patroon everyday! A BLT and a white table cloth. Perfect.

Packed room and great atmosphere, a superb service as always - the sommelier is so knowledgeable you can´t go wrong with his advice - and if you are lucky enough to have Stéphane wait for you, you are up for a treat. The food is spectacular, from oysters and thje dover sole to the unmatched caesar salad and of course the cuts. One of the very best tables in NY, with the added pleasure of a brief carte - no need to read a thesis to decide what you will have. The wine list is longer!

Stefan is the best. We were warmly greeted at the door by Eugene Aretsky-always a good sign when the owner is present. Drinks well made and generous. Food (shared the prime burger) tasty and nicely presented.

Food was good, but very pricey. Tuna tartare appetizer for $25? Service was outstanding. Family owned and operated and it shows. We ate late, and restaurant was almost empty. But we were seated next door to an incredibly loud table, when there were numerous tables available. We could hardly hear each other talk.

Such gracious hosts and waitstaff. Helpful, knowledgeable and prompt without being overbearing at all. Menu is far broader and more interesting than what you see on the website. Plus terrific variation between vegetables, seafood, beef and poultry. Everything was outstanding. Traditional endive pear salad with a few twists. Terrific burger! Great scallops. And good desserts. Would definitely return!! Thank you for a great evening!

Wonderful experience—Food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. Management and staff were friendly and efficient. We had to wait a bit for the entree, but the food was worth the wait. Aretsky’s Patroon is a great choice for a special occasion.

Everything about the food and service is outstanding. We were warmly greeted and seated at a spacious table in the main dining room. Service was friendly and professional throughout. Our party of 4 had a variety of dishes, and all were beautifully presented, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Courses arrived at a good pace: not too fast or slow. A memorable evening. My only complaint is that the wine selection, while strong, is priced very high. Wine by the glass is good and probably the way to go here.

I have been dining here for years from its roots as Patroon to the wonderful restaurant it has evolved to. We have hosted private parties here, birthday parties here but most of all, it is a place I come to when I want a wonderful dinner with old world service (something severely lacking in most dining establishments). You are always greeted with warmth by the next generation owner - Gene Aretsky --who incidentally, takes the time to know his patrons and makes sure they are completely happy. You then enter a tasteful and elegant dining room with a staff (some have been there for 25 years) who have been with Ken Aretsky almost since the time the restaurant opened. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a special, memorable dinner or event (every one I've ever hosted has been profusely complimented by my guests). This was not our first visit. The food was outstanding. We like to share and the kitchen split everything when we asked for an extra plate. Our waiter Stefan remembered us from our previous visit and is both friendly and excellent.

We went for their burger with fries, rings and their amazing brussel sprout side. Delicious. Then we topped it off with Begnoits and little oreo like cookies. No portion control, so we waddled out happily.

The Aretskys are survivors and I’m really glad they are! We had an awesome meal and super time there last night…the service was incredible, as were the burgers we had. Although the rooftop bar was closed to a private party, the attention paid to us throughout the meal, including by Gene Aretsky, the son of the founder, more than made up for that small disappointment. If you’re looking for a more casual atmosphere with good food and GREAT service, Aretsky’s Patroon is the place! We’ll definitely be back 😊👍🏻
