This was just a fantastic find! I travel to New York and Chicago regularly, and generally try to explore the restaurant scene. Ardyn looks good on the surface, but you never know until you get there. What I experienced was just simply a delight. I frequent Michelin-star restaurants, and try to enjoy and explore excellent restaurants all over the planet. I would hold up Ardyn and their staff against almost anyone! The food was creative, delicious, artfully presented, paced properly, and varied. The price point was great, considering the quality and care of the ingredients, menu, preparation, and presentation. The chef and staff struck a very good balance between friendliness and deft meal/customer management. The dining room was nicely complemented by a chef counter overlooking the open kitchen; and they successfully achieved an informal, modern, and cozy environment. Finally, virtually every bite was interesting and delicious, from the artisanal challah bread and butter, to the final lemon tart dessert with a cortado. Brilliantly done and highly recommended!
They went ABOVE AND BEYOND for our anniversary WOW! I could not recommend this place for an anniversary more ! The service was amazing the drinks and the food were absolutely delicious !!!! Can’t wait to come back for date night

One of the best meals I've ever had! Very friendly service and super tasty drinks. Relatively loud in the bar area, but it was a Saturday night. No issue with noise in the main dining area. Our waiter, Spencer, was great and made us feel very welcome. We had an amazing time, looking forward to eating at Ardyn the next time we're in New York!

We waited 45minutes for our table, reservation was at 8:15 we got there at 8:16 and sat at the table at 9am. Food was okay but lacked seasoning.
I had an amazing experience and excellent service at Ardyn! We started off with happy hour at the bar with a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc and fresh oysters. We then moved into the beautiful dining room for a ridiculously delicious meal! The food was presented in such an artistic way and each flavor was unique and complementary to the rest of the dish. I highly recommend the challah, the foie gras torchon, the octopus, the duck, and the steak! They are perfect to share as well!

The food (particularly the fish dishes) smelled as if it was not fresh and the taste matched. The meat dish was incredible fatty. Service was very slow—I had to ask several times for our drinks to be served. We were supposed to get a complimentary champagne toast given that it was the Valentine’s Day menu—that did not happen. Overall the biggest disappointment was the food, particularly at the price given it was a fixed menu for 85 pp plus we did the wine pairing for 35 pp (the wine also tasted like very cheap wine and I usually cannot tell the difference). For that price, I was expecting much better (particularly the quality of the food) but we were incredibly disappointed and we both had a bad taste in our mouths from the meal that lasted hours.

Our first experience was ok but this time around was amazing.
Portions were smaller but definitely shareable. Think Tapas. The unique flavors stood out in every dish. The meal was paced nicely and we had time to enjoy our company before the next course arrived
Cocktails were cool and tasty.
Atmosphere was lively but still comfortable.
Staff was friendly and made us feel at home. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience!

Food was AMAZING! NYC has really fallen off in food quality (there may be a handful of edible places left, let alone GOOD). This place is exactly what NYC used to be, we loved it so much that we ordered a second round of the carrot cavatelli. The plates are small but perfectly portioned. Be sure to save room for dessert because they were both standouts as well. The decor is really trendy and beautiful. Bathroom was clean, brand new and comfortable. Our server was wonderful, very personable, knowledgeable and attentive. They actually read the note in my reservation saying it was my husband's birthday and they def made sure it was taken into account. I was very pleased with my experience here. This may be my new place. Drinks are great, only downside is that their wine list isn't that great and I've been trying to stick to organic wines recently. Not a big deal, it's clearly just a more cocktail forward place. And considering the cool, inventive cocktails they serve no wonder. You will have to step outside of your comfort zone to try some of the better ones but they are worth the risk. Thank you ARDYN for a wonderful experience and we will be back again and again!!!!!

Absolutely fabulous looking and tasting food, subdued atmosphere and excellent service. Easily accessible from the subway. I will definitely come here again and again. And so will those who joined me for dinner, who had never been there before.
Great anniversary dinner experience! Our server Spencer went beyond out of his way to help make our day special. The meal was beyond amazing and the exposed kitchen is really necessary as those chefs and cooks are putting on a do not miss show.

Service was GREAT! We made our reservation via Opentable and got there after the kitchen closed due to a lagging uber :/ but they were even kind enough to call us to let us know to save us the trip 🥺. Anyway, there was still a small menu with an ample selection of dishes on it to pick from. We got the salmon tartare, roasted cauliflower, and a rosemary’s babe (i think is what the drink was called) and all of it was amazing! Yall are doing great :))
Very attractive, well designed, comfortable dining room. Interesting, creative, seasonal menu. Outstanding dishes including winter squash salad, carrot cavatelli, truffle chicken ( whole chicken for 2, deboned and rolled!). Very good service; attentive and helpful. Nice wine list with a good selection of under $100 bottles. On the expensive side.
A neighborhood gem! Highly recommend
I had noted in our reservation that we will be celebrating a birthday. We were given a terrible table that was thrown in the middle of the dining room. When we asked to switch they said it would be an hour wait even though there were two other 2-tops avail. Service was excellent but the birthday was never acknowledged even after we expressed how displeased we were with our table. It really soured the whole experience.

Literally one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at in my life. Best one I’ve been to in New York. Their food is absolutely delicious. The apps, the entree the dessertt. My god, amazing. The octopus was by far the best I’ve ever had as well.

Service and ambiance was great! We had scallop ceviche and challah bread to start - both amazing! Then had the 14 day aged duck to share, but the skin tasted old. I realize it’s aged, but for the cost I thought it really wasn’t nice. Put me off the whole dish. The duck fat potatoes were ok - we were expecting them to have more flavor. However, the duck pieces wrapped in bacon were so tender and amazingly delicious. The brussel sprouts and pancetta were also delicious as well as the lemon meringue dessert. Overall I would go back to try again.

I LOVE this place! The menu has changed again! Love to try everything new - luckily they still have the amazing challah bread to start!! but the new items are exciting and fantastic. And when they add truffles to the pasta or the chicken, they ADD TRUFFLES!! Lovely large slices - no tiny little shavings you get in most places. Can't wait to go back! Maybe for Valentine's day special menu....!!

Everything was great from the cocktails to the food. The server was also quite helpful. As mentioned by other patrons, our meal was completed in under an hour. Had it been paced better I would be running back.
From the moment I walked in, I loved how I was greeted immediately which in NYC, it’s tough. The bartender was amazing, and the host brought us to where the chefs had a open kitchen experience it was quite amazing. Overall being opened for 10 months with most businesses are closed on W 8th Street they are doing well and will highly recommend this to my colleagues and friends. I will definitely come back again! :-)
Food was great. But did a tasting menu for New Years and portions were large for a 6 course tasting menu and no wine pairings. Price was very high in comparison to the experience. Would like to try it on a normal night to see if the value is there....
the waiter did not advise us well. Despite asking whether the quantity ordered was not too much, he served us far too much
Food: brave attempt to be innovative, but every course is a failure in that respect. Too pretentious for what it delivers.
Service: The courses were forced down your throat. Within 45 minutes we had finished our 270 dollar meal.

Best dinner ever!!! Had 26th anniversary dinner with kids - wagu steak, scallops, chilean sea bass and sides. Everything was cooked to perfection. If you are a foodie, this place is a must. Great wine selection too. Chef Ryan is very friendly and we complimented him on our way out. Will return next celebration.
