In the front, a lively bar and lounge will serve bespoke and seasonal cocktails, wines, and craft beer.
Love every minute of the meal. Very friendly staff. Would be coming back.
Visitors from out of town. Service was great, food was spectacular and the Moment of Clarity is a cocktail to start off the evening. Folks from Kansas City know beef and the Wagyu ribeye would be special anywhere. We have eaten at many great and good restaurants and have never written a review. Ardyne is very special in a very special part of the city.
Nice place, above average food, way above average prices. Tapas style portions were small even by tapas’ standards. Easily arrived at $100 per person, and my dinner partner and I went home still hungry. Staff are great, though.
Love Ardyn! This was my second visit and I was as equally blown away by the experience as the first time. The food is scrumptious. Every dish is so flavorful but also so artfully prepared, visually stunning and delicious at the same time. Service is excellent. It’s a fun atmosphere- not stuffy or quiet but also not so loud you can’t hear your own voice. Perfect for a girls dinner, a date, a work dinner or a dinner with your parents. Also has a great bar that is separate from the dining room, which is nice, so it doesn’t get too loud. Highly recommend.
Besides the staff being so welcoming, the food was out of this world! Definitely will return!
The food is delectable, a gift to the tastebuds.
Ardyn is a welcome addition to 8th Street and the Village in general. Working off a small plate concept, this is a great place to get varied dishes but also a full satisfying meal at the same time. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is just right, not too dark not too noisy but warm and welcoming. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food was very very good throughout. We ordered a series of small plates and our server created three courses out of them. I highly recommend the Beet Salad (beautifully prepared in light drawing), Hamachi Tartare and the Pate as well as the Cavatelli with lobster (al dente nuggets of pasta with big chunks of tender lobster in a fantastic sauce), grilled octopus (perfectly done - tender and tasty without being blanched into blandness like most places), the N.Y. Strip (grilled to a true medium rare and seared on the outside with great seasoning) and the chicken (featuring a tender piece of white breast but next to an incredible dark meat creation that is savory and delicious). The bill will be substantial at the end but wholly fair and I can say wholeheartedly worth every penny. We didn’t even get to the main protein service, which sounded great. Gotta go back again.
We love coming here. It never disappoints and the drinks are amazing as well!
an amazing restaurant made even better from the extraordinary service and warmth of sommelier jared. will be goto place for any quality evening.
Our waitress was amazing and the food was great. Definitely worth checking out the back dinning room.
Food was amazing! Duck was the best in the city
Great to have a new, destination-worthy restaurant on 8th Street.
Excellent food. Great service. A fabulous dining experience.
My daughter and I had a great experience watching Chef Ryan Lory prepare our plates from the counter. The hamachai tartare was out of this world. Every dish was a piece of art. Great ambiance, service and food! Good luck on BBF.
As someone who’s lived in NYC for 25 years, this gets a B- at best. Service is subpar. Food is ordinary. Place with ceilings so low that suffocate, ambiance reminds me of some sort of broadway show. Tourists probably will enjoy this gimmick. Have a hard time thinking New Yorkers can be fooled more than once.
Kinda perfect in every way
comfortable and great space between tables
lovely interior design
creative menu, perfectly executed
charming gracious staff
my new favorite place.
This restaurant opened just 3 months ago and has a different menu every 6 weeks. Everything is locally produced and organic. But more importantly, you are in for a complete taste sensation. The restaurant is helmed by the chefs adam bordanaro and Ryan Lory of Fig and Olive the Charlie Palmer group. The atmosphere is fantastic, service impeccable, and food to make your mouth water. Go check it out. Michelin stars to come soon!
Loved the food and the service was fabulous! The ambiance was sea themed and warm.
Food was delish ... very cool space ... not very busy yet ... a little pricey for portion size
If you’re in search of your next favorite eating spot, ARDYN’s got it covered. Met an old friend at this new farm-to-table, slice of food heaven on 8th Street in the Village. SO delicious, it prompted me to write my first ever restaurant review. The freshest ingredients, A+ bar list and a welcoming atmosphere that began when we opened the door. Thank you Jared. :)
The small plates menu is a struggle for me because a) I tend to love big plates of food and b) choosing a well-rounded selection is harder than it looks. Our server walked us through some ordering ideas that alleviated both of these struggles, and all that followed was w. o. w..
Each plate came beautifully presented, and although defined as small, were large enough to share. We mmmmmmm’d and omg’d with literally every bite. Foodgasm levels of eating enjoyment. Really. Hamachi Tartare, Pickled Beets, THE GARGANELLI (do not pass this one up.) Had a few glasses of wine - from Oregon and delicious - and can’t remember what our seafood special was called, but it was to die for!
Also of note, the ambience is warm, natural (forest-y themed), low-lit, comfortable and with an almost full house, sound was not an issue as we were able to catch up on the last 20 years. Well, almost. We will be going back again. And again. See you there... :)
It was the second time we were dining at Ardyn, and it was a great experience overall. The food is absolutely flawless and amazing, freshness of the ingredients. Small portions though. Not much of a difference between the appetizer and the entree in terms of size. That could be changed I think.
Our waitress was perfect, attentive, efficient and discreet at the same time which we appreciated very much.
Nevertheless there was a party of 4 next to us and the maitre D' was really into talking with them which is fine of course but he kept standing between their table and ours, turning his back to us during long minutes and because the space is rather small we were eating at his bottom level, literally. Not very pleasant as a dining experience I must say. It was the only negative point of our experience at Ardyn
A dining delight with a fresh take on beautiful ingredients. GM Jared is a total gentleman, and Chef Ryan and the kitchen are turning out precise, beautiful, creative dishes. Great for a special dinner for two or go and share the small plates with lots of friends who enjoy eating well!!!
Ardyn is an experience that you should try at least once but once will not be the end. It is unique with a flare of all flares. From the quaint floor plan, to the impeccable service to the food beyond imagination. You will not get your usual plates at this restaurant. The thought that went into these dishes is pure ingenious. You can sit at the bar by the kitchen and watch the chefs and staff make up each dish. Another experience. After you leave the restaurant, you can't stop saying to yourself, who are these chefs? The talent and the thought process they put into their meals is beyond words. Please if you are looking for a new place to dine, go to Ardyn. You will NOT be disappointed one bit. In fact, you will have their reservation number on speed dial.................................thank you Ardyn for an experience beyond imagination. I look forward to my next trip to you.
We loved it. Great addition
We had the porcelet, garganelli, hamachi, collini, octopus and chocolate cake. Overall the food and service were excellent however if the idea is to do a small plates concept the pricing needs to be adjusted to reflect the smaller portions. The prices were in line with full size mains at comparable restaurants.
This restaurant is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and the ever-changing 8th St. The quality of the food and the ambiance of the dining room were outstanding. The wine list is somewhat limited at this time, and hopefully will grow with time.
The food was really good, there was a bit of a wait but the food was worth the wait! They know what they are doing! It’s a new place so some kinks are expected but amazing experience!
Service and decor were great. Food was good but the value is extremely poor. $24 for a little plate of pasta is a rip off. Would not go there unless you are not hungry. We went for a pizza after dinner
Mostly interesting and good quality small plates for sharing. But while the plates are small, the prices are what you would expect to pay for full sized portions. Worth a try but you can eat better next door at Loring Place.
I rarely write reviews but I had to for this place Ardyn. Every thing we ordered was plated and presented like a piece of art and each and every bite was better then the next. Chef Ryan and Adam blew me away with the food. Even the cocktails were delicious and I felt you were really getting your moneys worth unlike most places we go where its only ice. My wife and I enjoyed the ambiance and is a great restaurant for a date night or out with friends. Thanks for the memorable experience! I will be back.
Love, love love Ardyn. The attention to detail paid to the cocktails, food menu and ambiance does not go unnoticed. Servers are beyond top notch. So glad to see a spot like this come to the neighborhood - it will definitely become a regular spot for me!
Absolutely delicious. Everything g we ate was prepared to perfection! Can’t wait to go back.
Remarkable food with combinations that were unique and memorable
Fantastic farm to table meal, small plates, high quality ingredients, great service and casual ambiance .. overall 5star experience
Great food and service, a bit pricey
Amazing service! Entire team went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying. Staff was very attentive. Decor is very cool and unique. Definitely have a cocktail in the front bar before dinner!
One the best places I have experienced in nYc and have lived here all my life. The chef puts love into each and every dish and it come beautifully served and absolutely perfect or he and his staff don’t let it pass. Sit at the chef’s counter for the true experience
My husband and I thought Ardyn was fabulous! We started with a drink at the inviting bar; there was quite a bar scene on the Thursday evening we were there, which made the experience more fun. The dining room is beautifully decorated--a lovely place to sit. The little plates were delicious, differentiated, and nicely presented. We saw Ardyn advertised in a food magazine (maybe Food and Wine?) and were so glad we decided to go.
Great place if you like Tapas and like to share. Service was fantastic! I've already recommended it to NYC and International friends who frequent the City... Congratulations!
The food was exceptional and rendered us speechless. I cannot wait to dine at Ardyn very soon! You will not be disappointed!
Amazing amazing new spot. Chef and Maher are great. Food is very special. Going back a second time in under 1 week. That good!!!
