   This is a perfect example of friendly service and a touch of class. Our experience was excellent and the staff were so nice even offering one of my group a taste of the soup because he was unsure. All the serving staff were lovely and the food and drinks were perfect. The Market Menu is a great idea to try the food and I would highly recommend it. We all had various things and everyone was delighted with their choice and surprised at the value for money. The decor is classy and comfortable. We will be back again and again thanks

   We booked lunch before going to theatre royal. We arrived early but no problems, we were shown to our table. We ate from the market menu. Fab scallops to start and then chicken in a mustard sauce served with mash potatoes and broccoli ( cooked to perfection) my friend had fish and chips and crispy batter is always a winner. A lovely gin and tonic too. Staff were very attentive, took a while to get the bill, but all the theatre goers left at the same time. We popped back in for a cocktail while we waited on our lift home. Would definitely go back. Friendly staff, lovely clean surroundings ( nice loos too)

   Food was good but however felt that an extra £3 charge for scallops was excessive considering you only get 2 small ones. Overall good value otherwise and will probably use again if going to theatre.

   Great food, fantastic service and lively atmosphere. So handy for theatre but great also for a leisurely meal out. Would highly recommend. Food consistently great and fairly priced. Been a couple of times now and will definitely be back.

    The service was first class. We chose the Market Menu which had a wide choice. The portion sizes were large and the food was made to a very high quality. The Cullen Skink and the fish and seafood stew was delicious. My cousin had the venison stew which was just as delicious. I will definitely be back and I would highly recommend the restaurant.

    Fabulous service. Marked down as steaks were over cooked. In typically British way, we did not complain. However at £30 per steak we probably should have. Everything else was great. Service was exceptional.

    Lovely pre theatre lunch. Both my friend and I really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. We had 2 starters- both cauliflower chilli and coconut soup- delicious, tiny bit spicy for me but I’m a lightweight. My friend had the squid she said that was lovely and I had vegetarian haggis Nero’s and tatties- all lovely! Thank you!

    Excellent food and staff great ..unfortunately had to wait ages for main course which meant no time for dessert or coffee as going to theatre ..this has never happened before. Would still recommend and will definitely be going back.

    The service staff apparently did not tell the chefs what I had told them about how we like our food. We told them we did not like salt and my husband had a health issue so we asked for no extra salt on anything. A moderate amount already in the prep was OK. It was a cold day in Glasgow and we ordered two soups. Mine - a newly made replacement soup for a sold-out one - was like eating a salt lick. After a small taste I could not eat it. The other bowl was not quite as salty but not edible for us. Either the waiter did not tell the cooks we wanted as little salt as possible OR the chefs could not make the connection with that request as to how they prepared their soups. Since we said it was medical for one of us - they should have sent the waiter back to have us choose something else. We then shared a steamed mussels dish which was served cold. And then we tried to share a chicken entree but it was like sawing a piece of wood. The Manager came over and apologized but it was too late. She took the chicken away and returned to say the Chef agreed - it was way overcooked. Our question: Then why serve it? Would most people just sit there and eat it? Sorry, not us. She then asked us how we wanted to proceed. We told her that we had eaten the cold mussels and would pay for that but then we were leaving She said we didn't have to pay for anything. We then went to Tesco and got pre-made Tuna Sandwiches which were so much better than anything they served. When we got back to our hotel the night manager asked how our dinner was. After we told him the saga he said: "They used to be a good restaurant - but not anymore." Well what about all those good reviews? I guess the reviewers don't cook. If a person cooks - he/she would NEVER accept food prepared so badly.

    We’ve eaten here many times before as it’s opposite the Theatre Royal so very handy when you’re going to a show. Love the place - staff are friendly and attentive, ambience is nice and food and drink are both tremendous. Nice to find somewhere selling Scottish produce out with the Highlands.

    Went to the restaurant yesterday for my parents 53rd Anniversary dinner. Food was superb. I had scallops, venison stew and the cheese and biscuits. Best meal for ages 👍 Highly recommended

    The “background music was too loud for comfortable conversation initially. The seafood was excellent The Cranachan was disappointing - rather dry, and no vestige of Glayva after the first spoonful. All in all a good experience, thank you.

    Unopened mussels and broken shell in pot for starter scallop starter was faultless. Waited 45 minutes for main and 10 minutes for another drink. Felt the drinks were a bit expensive. On reflection think there are better options in Glasgow.

    My husband and I had a beautiful meal at Ardnamurchan. The food was delicious. We had just finished our main course and ordered desserts and was finishing off our bottle of wine when another waiter asked us to move to the bar area as they needed the table. He never asked if we had finished our meal and seemed quite harassed as about 8-10 people arrived at the same time. There seemed to be a panic on because these people had arrived. From nice and relaxing we could feel the panic of the staff. We left after desserts and went to a hotel for a coffee and liquer. Won’t put us off going back.

    What can I say? What a wonderful restaurant. Food was superb and the staff friendliness & attentiveness was 1st class. Graduation celebration meal for my son made so special with family. Will definitely be back many times. Thanks so much.
