Ardesia Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
The wine list is very short for a wine bar; by the glass selection is poor, expensive and inadequate quality (selling pinot for $15/glass of a $17/bottle retail is beyond reasonable). The bar food is really (really!) bad. It's a shame - the bar has a potential.
It's always a pleasure to eat and drink here, they greet you and take care of you like a welcome acquaintance. The food is tasty and diverse, the wine well curated. We come here whenever we're in the neighborhood, for the art shows on the piers, local theater, etc.
As usual, Ardesia always hits the mark. I just met up with a couple friends and this was the perfect place. We decided to do dinner and drinks here. Even though they only have small bites, the menu hit the spot. Everything was delicious and the service was great.
Mostly a wine bar but great for small plates. Not a long food list but a lot of diversity and everything was very good. The waiter was extremely good. He made many excellent suggestions for foods and he was very attentive without being annoying. We'll definitely be back.
I love to come to Ardesia. It's an amazing place, close to home and the food is lovely. However there is one waiter there , Julian, who is very rude even though I had done nothing bad to him.
Over the past year, it is definitely the service that has gone down but the food and drinks are great!
Loved their service, very on point with attention without requesting for it.
Their food are pretty standard small bites, the yogurt sauce was really good.
It is their wine list that definitely wins here.
So many choices to choose from, you'll wish you had two livers.
As for the ambiance, very low-key, very romantic, and subtle.
I could actually have a conversation without shouting.
Would definitely come back.
My girlfriend and I's experience at Ardesia Wine Bar was great. Our server was very accommodating and allowed us to structure the dinner as we pleased. We decided to design a personal tasting menu and wine pairing. Our server was highly motivated and excited to provide us with the service we wanted. He was knowledgable, attentive and consistent. We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed each minute. We highly recommend and definitely return.
Even better than I expected for just picking something with out much research. The food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. The wine list had such a great range of selection both in flavor and price. Not too quiet but could still carry out a conversation easily. Beautiful decor and wonderful staff!
I have loved this place since they opened many years ago having met the owners at an event prior to their opening day. I return with friends, family and loved ones.
Tonight, was a date with a new man in my life and we sat at the bar. Tyler was attentive and energetic. Food is always delicious. Please try the Raincoat the next time you are in for a cocktail.
Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
New try for me and I really loved it. Great vibe, good service and friendly and lovely atmosphere. Great for a date and for friends meeting up! Loved the ice team sandwiches!!
Limited liqueur selection and more of a wine place, but was very satisfied with my options and I don't drink wine.
Can leave full without spending a huge down payment!
The restaurant was very empty and the crew was a kind of agitated, having a lot of fun. The music was loud to a point that you had to shout to talk to the person next to you. The restaurant has nothing to do with its description. The kitchen is divided only with a curtain, when we left we were smelling like barbecue. I don't recommend this restaurant.
Cute, small location with nice ambiance!
Really enjoyed my rosé wine from Cali and my cocktail; the cocktail was not sweet at all, which I found perfect! The garlic shrimp skewers and the homemade NY style pretzel dish we had was really good! Loved the cheese platter and their garnishes! Overall experience was lovely, and I will be going back!
Cons: table was a little too small, could not keep the menu on the table with us, and I was interestesd in looking at the wine list while I waited for our food. Also, the cheese platter should have the name of the cheeses and garnishes somewhere on the platter; there was only 2 cheeses I knew about previously, but the others I did not even recall the name.
