We were celebrating 2 family birthdays on a Sunday evening. Ardeo+Bardeo was a good choice-- not crowded, service attentive, and the food was very good. The kitchen made a mistake in assembling our soups (forgot the seared scallops) but they caught up and corrected the mistake before we noticed, providing the missing ingredient at the table. Perhaps to make up for that mistake, we were treated to champagne with dessert. Very nice. We enjoyed the meal and will return.

I went for Sunday brunch. Got there around 1pm. It was crowded. We had a reservation and got seated right away but it took forever for our food to arrive. Mine was not hot. The French press coffee was weak (is that even possible)? The bathroom was a mess. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Met up with a friend because of their champagne brunch - so worth it! The staff were very attentive and our champagne glasses were rarely empty. Highly recommend the butternut squash soup and the omelet - both very rich and delicious. We will be coming back for brunch again, the staff and food are wonderful.

A very nice meal. Very Good food in a low key neighborhood setting. Try the Brussels sprouts and a great beet salad. Only thing was they were out of my preferred scotch at the bar. It had been a while since I was here but will be back again soon - hoping they will restock the bar.

A favorite neighborhood place. Our dinner started out initially with a bit confusion, but the manager and staff more than made up for it. Food delicious. A very enjoyable evening with friends.

Promising menu, disappointing execution. Brussel sprouts were fantastic, but entrees (mussels, white fish and pasta were just passing. One wasn't hot, one was mundane and one was ordinary.

Nice meal but one main course came out 15 minutes after the other due to a problem in the kitchen with one of the dishes. The waiter and manager were attentive and apologetic but the wait ruined the meal. A free glass of wine did not make up for the inconvenience.

I had sort of forgotten about this place, but it is back on my A-list. I took my 85-year-old and very cultured father here to meet a friend for dinner. Was pleased to get a reservation as it was restaurant week and I hadn't planned ahead. We met friends on the way in who warned us their food was very delayed. Ugh. It was already late-ish and we were hungry! So we ordered quickly. To our delight, the food came very promptly (the friends' meal was comped--a weird snafu accounted for that delay). Our waiter was really gracious, efficient, informative. Really top notch. And the wine, all food, and dessert were fantastic! Well done, Ardeo.

I've been to this restaurant on a few varied occasions-- brunch, dinner, special event menus, and restaurant week. The food has always been beyond my expectation. The food is delicious and offers a variety of classic options and unique dishes. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu-- the steak was perfectly done, the braised short ribs were full of flavor, pasta is delicate, and do not overlook the butternut squash soup (my favourite). There is no need to go downtown for inventive excellent food. The atmosphere in this neighborhood restaurant fits the bill for a more intimate meal. The restaurant is quiet enough to enjoy conversation, but lively enough not to feel isolated. A lovely time.

A neighborhood staple for many years, Ardeo never disappoints. The menu is endlessly creative, constantly recreated, and accompanied by an excellent wine list. I had the lobster risotto, which brought me tears of joy, it was so good. Friends and I generally eat fish dishes here and we haven't hit a bad one yet. The service is very efficient, staff is knowledgable and helpful, and I can't think of anything to complain about.

We really enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. Very good service. Husbands both ordered the filet, they asked the waiter if the cooks were good at cooking steak properly. The waiter said they are. The steaks were ordered medium rare. The steaks came medium well. :( when they told the waiter he took the steaks away and said it would be corrected as quickly as possible. The manager came out and apologized. We, the wives, were almost done with our food by the time the steaks came out again.
They were cooked to perfection this time, I tasted my husbands steak, it was delicious. I had the fried chicken and it was so so so good. We also had the mussels (excellent), Brussels sprouts (excellent) and calamari (very good). Cocktails were awesome. Wine selection only included 2 Italian reds, the only true disappointment of the evening.

We went to dinner here for NYE and were super impressed! The crab fritters, pesto gnocchi, and lobster risotto were to die for, plus we really went in on the bread and butter, too. Would also recommend the cocktails - manzanarita if you’re in the mood for something apple-y. Can’t wait to return!

This is a great restaurant! We dined there on New Year's Eve. Its close proximity to the Omni Shoreham (1 mile) provided a great dining alternative. We loved the ambiance, our meals, and the wine! The evening held three wonderful surprises for me. First was the wine. The house pinot noir was amazing. Second was the shrimp and grits. I have changed my mind about not liking this dish. I had tried it elsewhere and had written it off as dull, tasteless, and disappointing. At my husband's urging, I relented and Wow! The wonderful seasonings and the dish's perfect texture have converted me. But, I will only have it at Ardeo + Bardeo. My dish was exciting too - seared salmon, wild rice, decilata squash, spinach and cardamom. The presentation was fascinating and the food was delicious. The final surprise was the caramelized honey crème brulee with mixed berries, almond shortbread. It was beyond wonderful! Crème brulee was another dish I had written off as blaaah, but not this one. Let me not forget to mention our waiter. He was warm, engaging, and appropriately attentive. So, we will return! Thanks, Ardeo + Bardeo! Bravo!

The Brussel sprouts were excellent. The risotto was over sauced and lacking in flavor. The waiter was attentive. The food used to be quite good but over the past year or so the quality has declined

We used to come here often for brunch. When we went last Saturday, it was surprisingly slow for the weekend of Thanksgiving. There were very few people there but service was still slow and food was slow to come out. It took a while to get coffee too. Our waitress was fine but cold, lacked personality and barely smiled or spoke to us, not the friendly, happy service we’ve been used to here. It just seemed like we were a transaction $. Gone down hill a bit.

Thanksgiving dinner for two at two.
Wonderfully prepared prix fixe dinner. The Turkey was the most tender I’ve had in ages. The only reason it is not a five star rating was that we seemed a little rushed even though it was not too busy. I was still chewing my main when my plate was cleared. Will be back soon.
