Nice spot for an Italian meal that is a bit more sophisticated than standard fare. Very friendly with lots of menu choices.
Listen if you never tried this restaurant you are missing out BIG TIME!!! It’s by far the best on the Main line!! An amazing chef Alex and the best server ever Hank!!! Please please please try it you won’t be sorry!!
The hostess and “manager” were extremely rude to us when we said we had a reservation at seven. Almost two thirds of the tables were open and they said we would “have to wait because they were reserved for parties coming in at seven thirty”... a half hour after our reservation.
It took ANOTHER manager coming to the door to assist to get us seated. After seating us, there wasn’t even an apology extended from the original manager..
It was clear that the hostess and the manager helping her at the door were inexperienced and unfriendly.
The food was amazing and our server was wonderful. It’s unfortunate that the experience at the door was less than welcoming. Because of their attitudes, we aren’t coming back.
Wonderful food, exceptional service and inviting decor. Location is great, right around corner from movie theatre and on the same street as the shops and music venues. It's also across the street from Wayne train station. Will definitely return to try some more of the tempting dishes and the interesting offerings on the wine list.
Pricey food, but very tasty. Quiet enough to have a normal conversation without shouting.
So delicious and great service!
The chicken parm and veal piccata was tough, I had the brandino which was good but not great. Nice place, friendly people
The space between tables are very tight .... not much of private conversations...
Tables are WAY too close together which really kills the ambiance. Our waiter did a great job even though he was slammed. Worst eggplant Parmesan I have ever had. Chef cut corners by not peeling the eggplant which made it impossible to cut & enjoy. I wanted to send it back but didn’t have the heart to.
Ate here for Valentine’s Day. Amazing food, great overall vibe is the place, and all the servers/hosts were very friendly. Definitely will be going back for future dates!
Quality of food, service and ambience was outstanding. Executive Chef visited all tables and inquired if everything was satisfactory.
Love this neighborhood spot, but with the recent addition of a bar, the space was so crowded that we were constantly getting bumped into or having to move to accommodate servers walking by. They definitely need to remove some of the tables to make actual paths for servers, otherwise not an enjoyable experience. Will be even louder & more crowded once the bar is up and running. As far as food, appetizers were good, but main pasta entrees were just ok... one overly salty and the other lacking flavor.
As always, Ardé is top notch when it comes to food and service.
The rustic ambience complimented the delicious well prepared fare! Crusty bread and tomato dipping sauce were to die for. A must on list of favorite dining spots.
We got there and there were no tables available. There were people ahead of us waiting. We waited 20 minutes, no one had been seated and there was very little food coming out of the kitchen. We left and had dinner somewhere else.
I would like to apologize about our longer than usual waits this past weekend. We were much busier than anticipated and were unfortunately not prepared for the volume. I hope that you will give us another chance. I'm sure you will be glad you did. Hope to see you in for dinner soon.
What is with the GIANT TV in the corner. Sad to say if this thing stays on, we won’t be back. The space is warm and cozy and the TV is just an obnoxious elephant in the room. If it was separate, fine, but it’s the main dining room!!!! Peoples go out to
Eat to speak to each other, not to watch TV, that’s what Chili’s is for!
I just wanted to let you, and anyone else reading this review, that the TV is not staying. We agree that it does not fit our restaurant's atmosphere. It will be coming down before the opening of the bar. I would also like to thank you for dining with us, and we hope to see you in for dinner again soon.
I would’ve liked to have rated this restaurant higher. The waiter was attentive and efficient. The appetizer and the soup were lovely. But my fish was not good, even though it was recommended by the server It tasted old and was mushy in texture. I had 2 bites and could not stomach any more. I hope they fix this problem because otherwise the restaurant was very good and I would like to go back. I will not be getting the bronzino though.
I am very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your entree. Our branzino has always been a favorite menu item, which is probably why your server suggested it. We are looking into what may have caused this issue. Thank you for taking the time to write a constructive review. We hope to see you again soon.
We have not been there in a while and under the new chef and management, what a transformation. We both had fish entrees which were excellent and better than we've had in high level restaurants. Can't wait to return.
Delicious food . Wonderful atmosphere.
As always, Ardé did not disappoint. Beyond delicious and fresh food. Kind and attentive staff. Looking forward to seeing how the bar works with the ambiance. We enjoy a break from technology while dining at Ardé..... hopefully the TV will be on silent.
Had a great meal, service a little slow. Busters are very slow and inexperienced. Noise level is terrible!!! You cannot have a conversation , it’s just too noisy !
Terrific service and generous portions.
Thank goodness there was an attentive waitperson other than the one who was suppose to be serving our table. He took care of refilling our water glasses several times and packaged up our leftovers while our person was more interested in talking to the people at the table next to us. The bus person came to take our salads away when we were not even half finished.
Food was good but I don't understand the bread that was served. With the LeBus bakery only a few miles away you would think it would be possible to serve nice crusty bread.
We came as a family of four with 2 young kids. Our waitress was very patient. Food was excellent. We ordered the octopus appetizer and by far it’s some of the best my wife and I have had. It was perfectly cooked. My wife got a very creamy pesto gnocchi and I got the cioppono. (Use their bread to dip in the sauce!)
Excellent food, and Hank was a wonderful server. This was our second time here, and we'll be back for sure.
Had a great time with my family. Always a great experience.
The best part of the evening was our server. She was pleasant, energetic and engaged.
The restaurant was very noisy. Even thought we had a reservation it took a long time to get seated and they squeezed us into a way too small table. The food was OK....certainly not so good that it would be worth putting up with the other stuff, but not so bad as to warrant a trashing...in short, OK but nothing remarkable.
Really disappointed. Had never been and was looking for something new and fun. This was not it.
Hi, I am very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and was not typical for our standards. Thank you for taking the time to write some helpful feedback. I encourage you to give us another try as we are continually working to improve all aspects of service and quality of food. Our seating arrangements are also a little tight at the moment as we adjust to the new bar that is being installed. We hope to see you again soon.
The food is amazing and the staff is the best! An absolute awesome chef! Must go
Thank you Jeanie! We love having you in!
Drinks were great ! also the salmon was amazing with a great glaze ontop. have to get the pizza!
Thank you for dining with us and taking the time to write a review! I'm so happy to hear that our guests love one of my personal favorite dishes. We agree that the pizza is a must-try. There is nothing like a nice bubbly charred crust from a wood-fired pizza oven. Please come back soon and try our new cocktails that will be on the new cocktail menu! The bar is almost finished being installed and will be up and running very soon!
Excellent service, great food
A bit loud, made hearing our server difficult, hard to hold a conversation
Thank you so much for dining with us! We are aware of the acoustics of the space and have been working on ways in which to improve the noise level. We appreciate the feedback!
Everything fine, however noise level was very high.
Thank you for dining with us and for taking the time to write a review! Our guest's feedback is always appreciated. We have been working on solutions to the poor acoustics of our space. We will be re-designing the interior of the restaurant in the coming weeks so please visit again soon and check out the great new changes that are happening.
I love Arde’s atmosphere and the food is AMAZING!!!!
Great local choice in the center of Wayne's beautiful main street. Terrific food and service.
Great service. Great location. Chef came out and greeted our table and was very friendly and made sure we enjoyed our meals! Was a lovely evening and a great setting for making a pregnancy announcement to family ❤
Very Good. Fun Atmosphere. Owners are very nice and involved
Great dinner and overall experience
We look forward to the new updated restaurant! We think your space is ideal, love the interior, need to keep it casual quality Italian! Pizza was good - but needed to be a little crispier in the middle! Glad it’s back on the menu though! We loved the artichokes, burrata, salads, calamari - and the bread with pesto!! Can’t wait to come back when the bar is in!! Happy you are changing the name too!
My friend from high school was in from CA and four of us went for a mini “reunion.” We arrived a tad early but we were seated immediately, and they were nice when our fourth came after us. Service was good, as was home-made bread. Two of us shared the spring salad and all four of us had a decent portion. My entree of eggplant parm was so-so. The eggplant parm was good, but the fusilli was not a pasta that I would have paired with it. Like another diner commented, sauce tasted out of a jar, not home made. My friends enjoyed their meals. Dessert just okay. Not 100% sure I’d go back.
Fresh ingredients and house-made prep makes it all exemplary, deserves "best pizza" award easily. Couple all that with warm greetings and attentive staff makes this a favorite go-to Osteria experience. They now have liquor license and a nice selection of wine. Another "best" award is deserving of their in-house made Tiramisu. Large open space with rustic decor.
Food was fresh and delicious. Service was good, but they seemed slightly understaffed. Modern decor is nice, but doesn't feel "cozy" if that's what you're looking for.
