Outstanding food and service. The best Happy Hour ever.
In a very small town, this place was excellent!
Great Italian food, coffee super, and they now have their liquor license.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have been to Arde several times before and loved it. We decided to bring our entire extended family for Mother's Day. We had no idea until we arrived that the place was under new management. I will say the food was good. But, we were disappointed that some of our favorite dishes were not on the menu. (And we raved to family about them!) We were given a few slices of some radom bread but it wasn't enough for all of us. We asked several times for bread but it never arrived.....until we were done eating. And it was what looked like pizza dough cut into pieces. Then, we ordered Italian Wedding Soup which was a "special". We waited almost 45 minutes for the soup and salads to arrive only to find out that there was no Italian Wedding Soup. So, there I was (embarrassed by my choice of restaurants in front of my family) having been seated ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES with JUST WATER!! When our meals finally came, there was a long lapse between getting all of the dishes out. Some of us were done eating before others even got their food. One Chicken Parm was raw and had to be sent back. It took SO LONG that we decided to not even stay for dessert. I guess it's time to find a new favorite restaurant...it USED to be Arde Osteria!
Food was very, very good. Ambience could be a little more cozy, but overall everything was great.
Even though it was Mother’s Day the staff nailed . Great Service and Meal . Arde is becoming a go too for us.
We were there for Mother’s Day brunch... and it was a buffet. Food was good. Service was spotty.. our server told us there was no regular menu and that there was no French toast as part of the buffet... despite it being advertised on their site and in an email (panettone French toast). He even said he checked with the chef. Our 4-year-old had limited options and as with the other children present... had to wait on the pizza to come out (which took nearly 20 min). Not the biggest deal. Until I’m going to get the pizza that was just put out and what is next to it? French. Toast. I pointed this out to our server and he said that he was a late call in to wait tables. And that he didn’t talk to the chef, merely looked for the French toast and didn’t see it. That’s aggravating. Just ask. And.. several tables ordered regular items off the menu... including delicious looking omelets. Will maybe try again when not a buffet. This was disappointing though.
The service was extremely poor. We waited over an hour for our entrees. Other tables around us were experiencing the same issues and also not happy. Not the first time this has happened but will be the last as we won’t be going back.
The new chef and menu are amazing! The service remains exceptional. Best BYOB in downtown Wayne!
Very good good. Service is uneven and not organized. But the food will not disappoint and its worth it over the service.
New ownership. The food was good, but it took along time to get all our food. It seemed like our waiter was new because he forgot to bring items to the table.
The restaurant is in a good location for my party because one of my friends comes from Paoli . Parking would have been difficult if not for the Wayne train station. Apparently, after 6 pm diners can park there for free. The service was very attentive but I ordered the chicken parmigiana and was disappointed. It seemed like it was a frozen breaded chicken cutlet that was kind of bland. I will say that there was plenty of it, certainly more than I would usually eat. My friends were pleased with there entrees- both ordered pasta dishes, one was served with salmon.
Fantastic food and service. Highly recommend it!
My 7 months pregnant wife and I went out to what we had hoped would be a nice date night on one of the nicest days of the year. We had had issues with the service at Ardé in the past (1.5 hour wait even though we had a reservation, had to send a special lobster dish back because it wasn’t cooked, etc.) but we wanted to give it another shot.
We were seated outside, which was lovely. However, that is where the positive part of the experience ended. We waiting 20 minutes before a server showed up with menus. Another 10 minutes before we got water, followed by another 10 minute wait for the waiter to return with a drink menu. 40 minutes in, we finally ordered our meals. No cutlery or napkins has arrived at this point. Our appetizers finally arrived delivered by the hostess, who was surprised to see we still needed forks and knives. Bread was finally delivered.
A gentlemen next to us arrived some 30 minutes after we sat down. He ordered, had his meal delivered, ate, and read the news paper while my wife and I still waited for our entrees (egg plant parm and the parpadelle). Finally, after an hour and a half with a little bread in our stomachs, but no entrees, we told our waiter (when we could finally flag him down) that we just wanted our check and to cancel the meals.
We paid and left. Not once did a manager come out to check on us, even after we had canceled our meals. Management left their servers to fend for themselves and apologize for the extremely disappointing service (yet again) at Ardé.
This will be our last time at Ardé. It disappointed once again. It has such great potential but service once again is it short coming.
While the food here is good we keep coming back because the service is exceptional. We are always welcomed by the front of the house and wait staff as if we are family.
We opted to try the Happy Hour event. It did not disappoint! The wine was excellent, the appetizers were delicious and the server made us feel so special. We had a wonderful visit at Ardé and will be back again soon.
From the moment we arrived , we received prompt service , especially from our waiter ( Marcus). The food was terrific and , considering how busy the restaurant seemed, we received quality service all night.
Came late on a Saturday so was pretty empty. The space is SO bright and tables are low and close - limited booths - feels a little like you are eating in a fast casual spot.
What does NOT feel like fast-casual is the service. Attentive, knowledgeable and truly outstanding at their job.
The bread is sweet and heavy but delicious. Gnocchi was phenomenal. Lot's of vegetarian options.
We had a lovely meal, consisting of burrata caprese, veal marsala and linguine frutti di mare. The service was excellent, bread delicious, ambiance fun. Our table for 2 was closely situated to another 2 top which was not ideal, as we could easily hear their conversation and vice versa. Overall, the restaurant seemed to value our experience and checked in periodically to make sure we were pleased.
The experience was so much fun and the staff is fantastic and super friendly. Even the water boy was so welcoming and set the tone perfectly. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a good time. Highly recommended!
Arde Osteria was lovely the food was delicious, try the halibut special on risotto with lobster, portions for the main courses are fairly large, one could split the dishes. The calamari appetizer with roasted peppers got us off to a great start.
Signature cocktails were wonderful and the wine list was perfect.
Our wait person was friendly and knowledgeable, we will return soon.
Staff very nice. Appetizers were very good. Main meals just ok and wayyyyyy too expensive.
corking fee for each bottle is now 20 dollars! seems absurdly high.
This was our first visit and we loved the ambiance and friendly service. The food was generally very good (the Octopus was to die for), although my branzino was a little sad and boring (presented on a bed of cold tomatoes and cucumbers). I was also disappointed by the white wine list which was limited to three chardonnays and a single pinot grigio. I don't know anyone who drinks Chardonnay by preference these days - what about all those other lovely Italian whites? That said, we will definitely give Arde Osteria another try.
Good food, friendly wait staff, enjoyable evening
Food quality and service personnel were excellent. Noise continues to be the biggest issue at Arde. Once the crowd died down (glad to see so many patrons) the noise level dropped enough to have reasonable conversation with those at the same table without shouting
Great food! Chef came out to ask how we enjoyed it. Loved! We will definitely go back.
Super disappointing. Crab cakes had little flavor and lots of shells. Our waiter was more interested in telling us about his personal life and promoting his work as an actor than attending to our meal. Missed drink orders, cleared food before all we’re done eating, literally asked the last person eating if she could finish up. My third time at the restaurant, second with this waiter. Last time food was exceptional, waiter not so much. This time both made me feel like I’m not going back.
A great place to stop right after work for $6 drinks and then stay for a great new menu. Enjoy!!!
Good food and friendly service . Good for couples. Good for groups too.
They now have a liquor license, did not announce it. Charged 18$’s to drink the winds that we brought- a very high corkage fee. Would only take one order of food and beverages because they were too busy. I will not be dining there again.
We love Arde Osteria and will definitely be back!
Marcus does an excellent job of making guests feel welcome!
The food was delicious. I liked how comfortable it was to hang out there. The waiter was exceptional. He made recommendations, and was very attentive, despite how busy it was. Will definitely go back.
Way too overpriced for what it is. Food is good but not worth the price. We won’t return.
I had clam chowder soup that was excellent followed by spaghetti with meatballs that were great. Mi wife had ñoquis in a pesto sauce and she loved it. Service was optimal and truly friendly. We had an outstanding evening
An absolute gem in the heart of Wayne. Food was fresh and outstanding. Highly recommend.
Great experience. We loved the food, good value, great service...a little noisy for me,,,but it was a busy Saturday night
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Arde now has a liquor license. If you byob, there’s a $17 corkage fee. The waitstaff was attentive and patient as our party had many questions and requests. The food was delicious and prepared fresh. The calamari and flat bread apps were delicious. Our party had the crab cake, pappardelle, frutti di mare and fish special dinners. We were all happy with the meals.
Food is delicious and environment is warming. They do have a liquor license now but still allow BYOB for a corking fee. Dishes are somewhat pricey compared to nearby restaurants.
Although we had enjoyed dinner at Arde many times in the past, we had not been for over a year. There have been some significant changes, but we enjoyed the "new" Arde. The menu has been revamped and offers a lot of Italian-American standards as well as some more modern alternatives. It's no longer byob.
All of the main courses that we sampled were excellent, especially the Chianti Braised Short Ribs. I was less fond of a flat bread that we shared to start; the base was too cracker-like for my taste. A cannoli for dessert had a good shell, but the filling needs a little work. We'll definitely be back soon to sample more of the menu.
