They had a Limited food menu which stopped service at 8:30. Which I wish open table would have provided that insight, with some kind of “limited service” badge. I’ve gone to this restaurant several times pre covid and it has always been an excellent experience. I ended up leaving because I wanted food and drinks.
Great cocktails and awesome vibe. Always impressed in those regards. However, Arbella is now serving food from Tanta and the food was poor quality. The bao buns were hard as a rock. I miss Arbella’s old menu and hope this current food service is temporary.
Arbella is the best! One of the coolest bars in Chicago. From the outside you would never know how cool Arbella is, which makes it alluring, inside has sexy vibes, (lots of dates there) and good drinks. The bartendar will also just create something based on what you are feeling.
Great ambiance, beautifully decorated. Drinks were delish. Food comes from Tanta next door, which was very good. Host was a guy who dressed like a bouncer or a valet, a little confusing as he took your temp and then asked you to wait at the door, walked away and then said oh come this way.
Overall I recommend as a ladies night or a hot date.
Best first date spot
Favorite bar in the city!!! Best bartenders
Such a wonderful experience. Loved the music, the drinks, and the staff was amazing - loved the vibe. Perfect.
I love it! Empanadas are so good !
Went for pre dinner cocktails- music, lighting and service were excellent
I had a great cocktail!
We ordered empanadas which were delicious
We’d definitely return
I realize food options are limited... but maybe more snack type things for pre dinner people...
Thank you !
Amazing drinks!! New favorite go to place ...like the inside atmosphere too
One of the best places in the city..
Love this spot! Great, creative cocktails and awesome ambiance and energy level with the live dj
Great place, delicious food, amazing cocktails, great service.
Very difficult to give it a fair review, because our server had way too many tables for him to handle. Constantly had empty drinks, would se server for 20-30 minutes at a time. Had to order food and ask for the check at the same time because we had been waiting so long to order anything.
Smokey the Bear was sweet and smoky. Will be back again.
Great place! The staff and the drinks are awesome.
Fantastic Service! The owner and manager Joseph was amazing! I will recommend Arbella Chicago to all my friends!
Best place in Chicago for those who enjoy crafty cocktails and great house music
I’ve been here three times. Twice before COVID and once during the pandemic. The cocktails and food are always delicious. Yesterday I had friends in town who were enjoying their time and I really appreciated the server accommodating us and our enjoyment. I definitely will continue to come back. My favorite cocktails there are always their takes on various old fashions.
Best place in the city..!
Fantastic experience! Can’t wait to visit again—I will be back soon!
Didn't eat there, so can't comment on food although the couple next to us were not pleased with their appetizers. Great cocktails, but way too much attitude from the waitstaff. would not recommend
Really great place to go out on a date. Excellent customer service and food and drinks was better than expected.
Great service, fun lively atmosphere, lot of great drinks to choose from and food was really good. Well run. We will definitely go back often.
Very fun! Drinks were very cool! And food was DELISH
Great intimate night out. Food is always on point and great for people who like sharing plates. This tapas style restaurant never disappoints and even has live music. GREAT happy hour!!
We stopped into Arbella for a casual business dinner, since we all wanted something lighter (after a late lunch). Everything we ordered was delicious (cocktails + food), particularly the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). The sauce on the chicken was incredible, and we could've ordered 2 more orders...
Try the KFC, it is awesome. And it’s not from Kentucky!!
Excellently weird but very tasty and approachable cocktails. Food was great and perfectly portioned
Went during restaurant week. The menu was essentially the same items on the appetizer listing and happy hour menu. The food was good, I enjoyed the salad and the empanada, with the exception of the dessert which was a substitution of a pretty basic cheesecake for what sounded like a more exotic choice.
Was seated in the back room where I noticed a band starting to set up. My original seat would have been right next to the musicians and conversation would have been impossible. Fortunately, after I inquired a seat farther from the music was located. The band was a pleasant reggae group. The hostess should have known the location was not going to work and should have let us know about the music before seating us.
Our waitress a good job of taking our order and tending to the table during the meal.
Seems like a nice spot for drinks and appetizers and the restaurant was busy for a weeknight. I do like the live music (though I’d prefer not to sit in with the band). I don’t know that I would return for a meal though.
There was no one to greet us or place for us to check in for our reservation. I had to flag down a server to check-in. Once seated our server clearly forgot to put in our food order. When we asked 35 minutes later she said she put in the order but it was evident she forgot. Overall the atmosphere and ambiance was great but service was poor. Hoping it was just an off night.
Dark and loud with great decor. Table wasn’t quite ready when we got there but it was easy to get a drink and our table was ready by the time we got our drinks. Server was whining a lot about something, couldn’t really hear. She seemed to be too busy for us - had to ask for water, plates to be cleared, etc. Food was excellent although pricey. Wine was reasonable, drinks good but small and expensive. By the time we finished- about 9 - the place was packed.
The music and ambiance was great. We ordered the rolls as an appetizer and did the restaurant week menu. The stuffed peppers were warm but not hot. But everything else was delicious and amazing.
Way overpriced, KFC chicken was nothing more than fried chicken with a salty runny soy sauce to dip it in. Empanandas were the best the on the menu. Sliders were good.
We really appreciated being moved to the private upstairs booth for my birthday celebration!
I forget the name of the guy who offered to move us upstairs (maybe a manager? his name could have been josh? longer hair) and our server (short bob haircut, very cute, fellow Aquarius) - went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was perfect :-)
It was a bit hard to see our food up there but some extra candles helped. All in all amazing experience.
Happy Hour was a bit expensive and the bartender was not the most friendly. Place is super cool though and love the atmosphere!
Food was too salty. Small dining space, live band started at 7:30pm therefore too loud to hear one another.
