Arancino di Mare - Marriott
Arancino di Mare is our flagship location which opened in 2004. Enjoy your dining at our open terrace with a beautiful view of the world famous Waikiki Beach!
Service was impeccable. Pasta was obviously hand made and delicious. Will definitely return.
We came here because we love Aranchino Kahala, but the other restaurant had a set dinner. My wife loves the uni pasta, and to order this we had to choose the Waikiki location. The atmosphere was much more casual, with alternative rock loudly playing over the speaker system. The service was quite slow, which may have been due to Valentine's Day, although the restaurant was far from full. Kahala usually accommodate's a modification to a dish, but this location didn't did so without some reluctance (seafood pasta, seafood on the side.) All in all, we would send our friends to Kahala for a better experience.
This is an inside-outside Italian restaurant. We were seated outside, which I love, but it was on a busy sidewalk, so the ambiance was not great. The food was great. My husband & I shared an appetizer, a salad, a meal and a dessert, & all were wonderful.
It was my second time to arancino You really can’t forget the sea urchin pasta. I regret to have eaten less for lunch so I could eat more here. I definitely will go again for my next visit to Hawaii.
We had an excellent service! It's hard to experience this kind of service in Hawaii! Thuyan was awesome!!!
We have been going to this restaurant almost every year we have been going to Hawaii as the food really is fantastic. So I wanted my mum, brother and families to experience it too. Despite making a reservation for 10 guests more than 2 weeks prior, 5 of us arrived right on time and the other 5 were not far behind in a cab. Since only half of us were there, the hostess wanted us to wait outside. Although there was some shelter, it was pouring with rain! I asked why we had to wait since we made the reservation for 530pm & most of us were there. She said because we weren't all there yet (traffic due to wet weather delayed the others) & our table wasn't ready. She was so incredibly rude that I felt I had to become defensive. When I challenged her on this, especially since the table was very obviously ready, she said they had to put menus on it. Such a ridiculously poor excuse if I ever heard one. One had to laugh. After 5 minutes I said we would really like to sit down and order cocktails but she wanted to keep us waiting. By now we were all there so I told her again, we would like to sit now please which we did but by then we opted not to buy any cocktails or wine for that matter, from this restaurant. We just had our food & water and went elsewhere for our cocktails. Such a shame. The restaurant would have done so well out of us if it wasn't for the attitude of the hostess. The food as usual was fantastic, our waitress wasn't too bad BUT We will think twice about going back here next time. There's plenty of other competition!
We were skeptical when reading from varying sources that this really is Hawaii's best Italian restaurant, but tired from a long flight and it being attached to our hotel, we gave it a try, and we are glad we did.
We had a Caprese salad, tomato soup, lamb chops, mushroom risotto, and a delicious fredo custard dessert.
The Caprese salad, a simple thing, was presented very artistically and the olive oil was very flavorful.
The risotto was prepared tableside, and, once heated, was poured into a half wheel of parmigiano, where it was stirred to take on cheese flavor.
While the front desk hostess was miserable and clearly wanted to be anywhere else, everyone else soon surpassed her in friendliness and efficiency. Our drinks and meals came out very quickly, but we did not feel rushed. The place was very busy for early on a Wednesday evening, which is a testament to how good it is.
Arancino di Mare - roughly translated as orange of the sea, has an orange theme in its menu and interesting cocktails, as does the simple decor. This is not a fancy place, but it is well worth a try. The one slight minus is that the outdoor patio is on a very traffic-busy side street, and although we wanted to sit outside, opted inside, instead.
It was my fourth time dining at this location and every time I was very satisfied. I would've been happier if garden salad which included in lunch special was fresh.
I called to make a reservation for a group of 15 but ended up needing a few more seats at the table. Two days prior to the dinner, I called the restaurant and they were able to accommodate the guest count changes. The staff was friendly, and the food tasted delicious. The ambiance was great and our group had a great time.
Food was very tasty and good options for gluten free - staff were very accommodating for my daughter who has celiac disease. The big down fall for us was that the mains were brought out BEFORE our appetizer plates were cleared and when asked to remove them, there was no acknowledgement that this was an issue or an apology.
Our server, Rebecca, was fantastic!
Very nice, great view of sunset.
Not a bad restaurant in any way, nor was it exceptional in anyway. The tables were very close together, the view of the beech wa obstructed by a busy road. I probably went in with unfair expectations as I was comparing it to Sabrina's (same Yelp ranking) and Sabrina's is superior in every way but location.
