Araliya St Kilda – a restaurant bringing you modern Sri Lankan inspired food right in the heart of St Kilda on Fitzroy Street.
This new St Kilda restaurant is beautifully fitted out, with a stunning bar that serves a great selection of craft beers, local wines and wines from afar and tasty creative cocktails.
This is the perfect place to meet friends and relax over a cocktail or two and enjoy the amazing food menu. Whether you are looking for short eats or sharing plates – all that are synonymous with Araliya Hawthorn, it’s the same elegant, spice-tingling style of food on offer.
The kitchen is run by Sam Wedande and his Assistant. Throw in some of Sam’s secret recipes that has lasted for over 32 years and you will be coming back for more. Catering well for those who need to follow a coeliac diet and also a great selection of vegetarian dishes.
The desserts are too tempting to resist and the perfect way to end a perfect night!

Found the lady who looked after us just lovely, the food was fantastic. We did think it would be busier for a Saturday night so the ambience was a bit quiet but would definitely recommend for an excellent Sri Lankan food experience. Thank you.

Have been a visitor of Araliya for many years when it was in Hawthorn. First time at the St Klida Venue, and it did not disappoint! From the very first mouthful, we knew this was going to be a wonderful Sri lankan journey! Loved every minute and every bite, can't wait to go back again and again!

Terrific restaurant with delicious authentic Sri Lankan food. The 6 course menu is definitely the way to go! Can’t wait to visit next time I’m in St Kilda. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Araliya has lived up to every single review. The ambiance is warm and elegant. The food is authentic Sri Lankan. The flavours are well balanced and powerful without being overpowering. The wine list is adequate. Service was great. And the price for all of that was less than I expected. I will be back, many times.

Excellent food - Sri Lankan cuisine with a Western twist! Portions are a little on the small side but filling nonetheless. Friendly, efficient service and knowledgeable waiters. Location is great. Décor is classy but could have a bit more Sri Lankan influence. Thanks for a wonderful experience! Will definitely be back.

Food took a long time to come out, didn't taste like authentic Sir Lankan and also didn't find the staff very friendly.
