We used to love this restaurant. We even hosted a graduation party there last summer. We went there for another celebration dinner this week. They must have changed chefs. Our last meal was the worst we have had in Culver City. Very disappointing.

Food was delicious! Happy that Chef cooks with less or no cream in dishes that may otherwise have. The Valentine evening Special soup was wonderful, as was the Gnocchi Special. In addition, I will certainly be ordering the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara again.
Waiter, Corey, had an outstanding knowledge of menu items, and was quite impressive in helping us select a full bodied red which was a pleasure. We will be requesting his station upon our returns.
It’s always disappointing to go to one of your favorite special-occasion restaurants and find out that it’s been bought out by a chain of restaurants. The food was...good, but not great. Much of what made AR Cucina special was their insistence on local specials and very fresh ingredients bought at the local farmers market. That specialness seemed to be gone, even before we got our food.
Again, our food was fine for what it waa, but don’t expect the same AR Cucina if you haven’t been in a while. I heard it best tonight: if you want a fancy Olive Garden, then AR Cucina is for you.

Sadly and honestly I do feel bad for saying this but I could make better food at home. Very disappointing. Chicken was inedible, sauces bland, meatballs without meat, just not good.

We’ve been here many times and always have a great experience. Have been here for both casual, family dinners as well as date nights. One of our go-to spots!
Rather disappointed with the food. In particular the Fish special was extremely dry. Drinks took a really long time and were just ok when they arrived. Server was nice but we were ignored for stretches of time. He seemed to have tables all over the restaurant so it was hard to flag him down. No fault of his. I’ve been here a few times and it was always fine but this might be my last try here, especially with all the new offerings in Culver. There are better places to spend your money.
Team lunch with a job candidate. We aimed to impress and AR Cucina nailed it!
I had a reservation so when we arrived the hostess was very pleasant and welcoming. Once we were seating, server after server passed by our table without any acknowledgement. I had to ask one of the servers for our server to please come over to the table. We placed our orders, drinks and food came out fast but the bruschetta was salty. Both of our entree’s were very basic. I was expecting to be wowed especially with the prices but I we were both pretty disappointed. On top of that, there was a random server going from table to table to check on random tables that weren’t his. He did this throughout the evening and skipped over our table every time. The best thing we experienced we’re the drinks from the bar and our server was nice however she was not attentive at all. We won’t go back.
Nye dinner. Met owner and she was friendly and took time to speak in Italian with our Italian out of town guest.
Fantastic food. Sat on the outdoor patio in December and just perfect! Highly recommend the meatballs as a starter!

We had an extraordinarily fine evening, from appetizers to dinner to cocktails and wines. We went to celebrate a birthday with friends who are very selective foodies. Not one of us was disappointed, to the contrary, each of us was very impressed with AR Cucina.
Was surprised to see the menu change. Missed some if what was there before. Staff seemed a bit confused and didn’t really know the menu. Will give it another try for happy hour
We have been to restaurant before and it was very good. This time the salad was undressed, the steak inedible with the heavy salt and indifferent vegetables. Also there was a 45 minute wait for our main course. My friends checked it out the next day and told me that the management and chef had changed in November. Well, the change was not for the better, and unless the food and service is addressed, the place will close. My wife ordered chicken picata which was not picata but a lump of chicken with heavy lemon. For a hundred bucks a couple, I certainly expect at least a good experience instead of a meh experience.
Excellent bone-in ribeye steaks! My daughter’s cheese pizza was yummy. Very attentive and accommodating staff. Great overall experience.
Apparently there is a new chef and our dinner was very disappointing, starting with the minuscule amount of bread and continuing through the appetizers and main courses.
Under new management and a new Chef but it’s even better than before.
Had high expectations - cute place but the food was not very good. Rubbery pasta and chicken. Good drinks though.
What happened to AR? When it first opened, the food was amazing. Not so much anymore. Missing the flavor in the pastas.
We ALWAYS LOVED AR Cucina until this weekend! It was one of our favorite restaurants! New management, new chef. New owners took over last week unbeknownst to us. FOOD VERY POORLY prepared. Changed menu-- limited, mostly meat (I don't eat red meat). Our favorite dishes (from appetizers, entrees, desserts)were taken off the menu. In past, pasta homemade--now it is bought pasta!
Would not go back nor recommend.
Be warned people!!!! This was a total disaster from start to finish! Waited 45 minutes and still had not gotten even the drinks we’d ordered!!!! The only time in my life that we’ve left a restaurant after ordering food! Unfortunately this was a special birthday dinner for six people - we had no way to know that the restaurant is no longer really AR Cucina- apparently new management just took over. Server was polite and apologetic but after getting NO appetizers, NO drinks (how hard can it be to make two martinis?!?!) and having to ask for more bread (which we were initially told we’d be charged for!!!!!) we were truly stymied as to what was going on with the bar or the kitchen! Wed never had any experience like this at AR in the past! No manager ever stopped by our table, no explanation as to what was the problem. Nada.
This place used to be wonderful- we will not be back! Former AR patrons- be forewarned! Very sad!

Good was mediocre except for the pasta which was delucious
We went there before theater at the Kirk Douglas. We thought the menu was a bit understated and uninteresting, but we had salads and shared the lamb bolognese over polenta, which was excellent. The martinis were very good as well. We ended up pleasantly surprised.
The octopus was not good at all, the amateur level. The beans tasted from the cans and undercooked. The pork chop was overcook and nothing special. The polenta with ragu was good!
