   Excellent tasting food but portion size if sea food was small, in soup and scallop entree. Also, the Lamb was undercooked.

   Once again AquaTerra provided a first rate dining experience. The food is always excellent and James, our server, was cordial and attentive. We love our opportunities to dine there either inside or on the patio.

   This place has a lot of potential, with its location facing the harbour (the reason why I chose to make a reservation here). The windows were dirty, the carpet needed to be vacuumed badly… just not as clean as what I expect from a hotel like the Delta. I felt let down by the ambiance so I didn’t enjoy my meal as much. My husband really enjoyed his French toast.

   It’s important to understand that AquaTerra is more a hotel eatery than a restaurant. There are many fine restaurants near AquaTerra that will provide an atmosphere and food quality that is far superior to the AquaTerra hotel eatery

   Service was great and a nice view of the harbour if you get a window seat. My daughter was fixed on the number of spiders outside on the windows so don’t look if you don’t like otherwise some dishes had excellent presentation and others not so much but all tasted good! Andrew was our server and looked after us well!

    We were a little disappointed, but then our expectations were pretty high. My wife had the lamb. The lamb itself was a little tasteless and the sides (baba ghanoush) were overpowering. I had the scallops. They and the risotto were excellent, but the addition of prosciutto ham was unnecessary and kind of ruined it. Our waiter was fantastic and he even threw in a couple of comp deserts as it was our anniversary. Overall abidance of the place was fine, but for $200, you can eat much better in a dozen other Kingston restaurants.

    We enjoyed the dinner and the setting was great the food we ordered we were expecting a bit better quality. The lamb steak was mostly fat and some of the other foods were very salty. Will try again and try something different on the menu.

    We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our 35th wedding aniversary - food was very good for a high end restaurant and lived up to the reputation. Nice location in Kingston harbour. Excellent service. We liked the fact that it is showcasing local food. Although not sure why we were recommended a BC wine after asking for an Ontario red wine. Would definitely go back.

    Our server was pleasant but nothing more. She forgot to bring us salt and pepper when it had been asked for. She also made no attempt to find a pillow or blanket to raise up the seat of an elderly member of our party who is very small and frail. She mentioned the hotel would have these items but made no attempt to get them for us. Very disappointed in the lack of effort.

    This is a first class restaurant. The menu is limited but everything on it is done to perfection. The service is impeccable and the water views are very pleasant. It's a great choice when you want to splurge a bit.

    Food is always great here. We shared an order of calamari that's the best I've ever tasted.not greasy or chewy - YUM. We ended the meal with Aqua Terra's creme Brulee- heavenly. Service was marvelous. Can't wait to go back.

    My mother and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a beautiful view of Kingston harbour. The restaurant was busy but the service was friendly and courteous. The food was wonderful, as usual!

    Dinner at the Aqua Terra was a complete delight. The service was outstanding. Trevor was our server and he was the best of the best. Knowlegable, friendly and just a great person. Made the meal that much more enjoyable. Thanks Trevor.

    We go there every year for Canada Day (and other occasions also). It's our tradition. This was the first time we would say the food was ok. No great but not bad - just ok.

    We usually enjoy all the food at Aquaterra but on Tues my Arctic char was the worst I’ve ever had, greasy, smoky and actually made me sick to my stomach. Luckily my wife didn’t mind sharing some of her steak so I did get some supper. Good thing too as the Table d’hôtel was not inexpensive!

    We had an excellent celebration dinner for a graduation. Service was unhurried and our server knowledgeable and helpful. And the food was outstanding. Pricing is fairly high but it seemed worth it.

    Great staff, very attentive without bother us. Server was well informed about the menu and wines. Portions were actually too large, no one was able to finish their dinners. The room could have been a little more intimate but it was still a lovely night

    At AquaTerra my friend and I was fortunate to get a table by the window. As there were graduations going on, parking was difficult and parked across the street but only a spot was available only because someone was leaving. This might not be an issue on a different weekend. I had the escargot in a broth and steak frites as my entree; both were delicious. My friend had an app off the nightly special and the malfatti, which she noted was a bit on the bland side. Overall the experience was really good and I would return.

    The food took almost an hour and we had to ask where it was. Parts were cold when it arrived. The coffees were cold. The waitress could not process our gift certificate so it took 15 minutes to pay. Other tables had items comped because of complaints but nothing was done to address our complaints. We had $50 left on the gift certificate but abandoned it because we will not go back for any reason.

    The waitress was amazing which is why we gave an overall 5/5 rating. The reason why we ranked food in value at a three star is because compared to places in the area the food was just OK. And for the price it seemed as though we could go to the local shops around the hotel for much cheaper and much better.

    My husband and I celebrated our 44th anniversary at this restaurant. The ambiance was very nice, the food was good (although my husband felt his steak was over-salted). All in all a good evening out.
