Aquarium Restaurant - Downtown Denver Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I, took my daughter's and their friends. We had so much fun. We got to sit next too the fish. We missed the mermaids but we did get a visitor from Mr. StingRay. The food was delicious. We got ourselves gifts then headed too the exhibit. We had such a wonderful time. Im taking my grandkids next week. So excited.
Mermaid show is great for kids. Sitting close to the tanks is key. Food is super salty! Immediately after eating the Ruben I was sick and had horrible stomach ache which ruined my visit through the aquarium bc I kept running to the bathroom. Do not order the Ruben sandwich! Other than that the service was great. Ryan was our waiter and he took good care of our table.
I have very positively reviewed this restaurant in the past but last night was just...off. we had reservations, when we arrived for our date night were asked if we wanted a booth. I said yes because the tend to be succluded and quieter. Hostess asked again after walking through the restaurant (which was only 20% fill with several booths open). We again stated out preference for a booth. Hostess pressed us to take a table so we asked if we could get a quiet one. She said we would love it. Sat us right next to another couple and promptly sat a family of four with young noisy kids next to us. Service was lackluster even though its usually great.
Worst date night in recent memory.
Outstanding service and food, our server told us we would be able to receive money back on admission, but we were unfortunately not able to be reimbursed 15% with a receipt because we had already purchased wristbands previous to eating dinner. But we were able to receive free parking!
Our server was training a new employee and was beyond professional and courteous to make sure she wasn’t interrupting our experience while giving her the opportunity to train.
10/10 would recommend, came from WI, and was worth the item on our itinerary!
We had dinner with 3 friends before a hockey game. When our one friend did not like the fish and chips, there was no problem getting him a entree to replace it which he loved. My salmon was a tad too well for my liking, but it was tasty and I saw no need to return it. Redfish was wonderful!
So, I've been a member in the past and renewed yesterday and my little girl has been begging to come and my mom and sister have never been, so I decided to surprise them. When I got there, I was sent to the VIP line to renew my membership as a LSC member, the girl ignored me while I stood in the cold with my six year old and when I finally went up for some sort of acknowledgement, she was rude and unprofessional. I paid for my membership, she was taking so long that I told her I'd come back for my free passes and member cards. Once at the dining area, We were seated in a weird area, the service was ridiculous slow (although she was sweet), the food and drinks and especially the appetizer took FOREVER and when the food finally arrived, it was tasteless and cold. Was not a good experience, it's never been bad like that, I've always had a pretty good experience, this one was horrible.
The food was good. Not an extended menu but enough choices for kids and adults. With a reservation we sat right away after our tour to the aquarium which was fun for the whole family. The service was okay, our waitress took very long to check on us and at odd times; we had to ask two passing waiters on different times for what we needed-they were very friendly but our waitress didn’t have many tables-she was just not very good. We were celebrating our kids bdays and they had nothing special for them. But we really enjoyed the experience of the aquarium as this has been our 4th time in the past two years. The restaurant was just convenient.
This was our first visit to the Aquarium restaurant and my family and I had a lot of fun. Our server was great and the food was good for the most part. It was really chilly in the dining area and we were seated at a table close to the entrance which made it difficult to see the mermaid show, one of the reasons we chose the restaurant, but we still enjoyed the experience.
The Denver Aquarium Restaurant truly makes you feel like you are under the sea and in a scene of The Little Mermaid. All of the dishes are nicely proportioned. And all of the beverages are creative when it comes to adult beverages. From seeing mermaids dive into the fish tanks two eating wonderful dishes this restaurant is great for All Occasions and ages.
The service was terrible! We waited for over an hour for our food. Servers didn't remember to bring anything we asked for. Trying to get a water refill took about 5'times of asking. And the then the food came. And it was horrible. The aquarium was fun the restaurant was awful.
My niece and I were here from Dallas for a girls trip. She is 5, and had her heart set on seeing the mermaids. Unfortunately we found out the day of our reservation that the mermaids don't perform on Sunday. My niece was in tears, but the kind and attentive waitress helped smooth things over, and we had a great time!!
