We took our children and granddaughters to lunch and see the mermaids. 7 adults and two kids everyone said their lunch was very good. I personally had fish and clam chowder and it was fantastic.
Great staff, excellent service and tasty food. Watching the Aquarium throughout was fun and relaxing.
Our waiter was great! The kitchen was backed up so it took forever with the food. The food was ok
I had a reservation for 7:15 arrived at 710 and was told that they were swamped and that I would have to wait, 20 mins later we we're Sat. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Server was fine, but services was pretty slow. Food was flavorful, but my Whitefish was overcooked, and the squash was pretty bland. The entire menu is about $10 overpriced. The restaurant was busy, but that's no excuse for the slow service. All this makes for a restaurant that I'd go to once in a great while in conjunction with an Aquarium visit (if I had a Groupon or something like that), but I wouldn't visit on anything like a regular basis. And I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here. Too bad, because they could really make this something special.
This is a family place so I expected the kids and the huge groups of family. What I did not expect is being on a waitlist when I made a reservation. Took them 20 minutes to seat me they didn’t explain why and the hosts where all just yelling amongst each other. For being such a small busy restaurant they are very disorganized. Not the host nor servers nor managers are attentive of their guests at all. The waiter told us our bread was in the oven and it would be right out. He brought us cold bread. The plates were warmer than our supposed bread that was in the oven. To anyone looking to spend outrages amounts of money , doesn’t mind bland mashed potatoes, and bad service. This is the place for you! Not to mention the couple that ALSO had a reservation at the same time as us, waited 30 minutes to be seated and no server was available to greet them for another 17 minutes, and finally a manager came over to get them started on drinks. Would not recommend to anyone
Went here for a special date last year at this time, and we decided to make it an annual tradition. Made a dinner reservation last year (not through opentable) and upon arriving, had to wait nearly 30 minutes for a table. They had our reservation, but were too busy to honor the time. This year went through opentable for reservations. Upon arriving and informing the hostess of our reservation, we immediately were given a pager and was asked to wait. Again, they had our reservation, but told us it was busy and hopefully it shouldn't be too long of a wait. Around 20 minutes we were escorted to a table. While we understand that perhaps certain foods may take longer to prepare, it seemed like the wait for our meal was way too long. Perhaps part of the perception of the eternal wait, was having to dine near another patron who had chosen to hang her jacket on the back of her chair and dine in only her lacy bra. I WAS INCREDIBLY ASTONISHED THAT NONE OF THE STAFF ASKED HER TO COVER UP!! THIS IS SUPPOSEDLY A FAMILY FRIENDLY ESTABLISHMENT! Once we got our meal, it was delicious. We ordered desert to take home. It took way too long to get our check, but we tried to just enjoy one another's company. Before leaving (2 hours later), I stopped at the hostess station to advise of our experience last and this year. It was suggested that we "come at a different time; that it is President's Day weekend and really busy". I expressed that I understand dinner is busy- hence; the reservation. But to suggest eating dinner at a different time (because the staff is too overwhelmed) is absolutely ridiculous! I was also told that for an ADDITIONAL $25, we can sign up for the rewards program, and then could receive priority seating. Really?!! IF YOU CANNOT HONOR DINING RESERVATIONS, THEN *DO NOT* TAKE THEM!! We got home to find that the Souvenir Glasses we purchased with our drinks, were not in our bag! Deciding that we now DO NOT want memorabilia from this experience! Nor will we ever be back.
Misleading photos about the dishes. What was actually served (grilled seafood platter) was very poor and overpriced for the amount of seafood served. So, don't go by the pictures.
Speakers are installed over 40 feet high on the ceiling, and as the result, the sound from them were more annoying noise than music. Extremely poor sound quality.
The atmosphere was interesting, and te service was efficient and friendly.
We love bringing our grandson to Landry's for lunch at the aquarium because of the amazing glass windows that allow you to watch the fish in the giant tanks.
Food and carpet in restaurant is disgusting. Bathroom sink overflowing as I washed my hands. We made a reservation for my daughters 4th Birthday to see the mermaids. Nobody could tell us when they would swim or be there and sure enough the swam by our table right after are waitress said they would be somewhere else...so my daughter totally missed it!!! So frustrating, never saw them! She cried and cried! So disappointing!
I appreciated how hard the workers were trying however the food wasn’t good at all. It was cheap and I had to force it down. My date and I still had a fun time but I will not be returning to the Aquarium for Valentines Day!
This is a go-to place for us. We love the atmosphere and the menu is good. We happen to be fond of the dessert options also. It is not cheap, but it is fair--like most Landry's restaurants.
Good food and service! The mermaid show was fun and made it a great experience!
Food was excellent but the portions are enough to feed 2-3 people. Next time I will split a lunch or dinner with someone. Although the food was really good, the prices are way too high. I had a Caesar salad, my friend had a chicken wrap, and we both had one glass of wine. The bill was over fifty bucks. Nevertheless, it was fun, and our table was right in front of one of the aquariums. We saw a mermaid while eating! Fun.
Food was okay. Not awesome but not bad either. Pretty expensive for what you get. $170 for seven diners (a couple of us shared, two small children and no alcohol). Tour of the Aquarium is extra even for diners. At the prices for drinks, food etc. they should extend the tour of the Aquarium as complementary.
The food was tasty, and the service was great. It's pretty loud. I gave the Aquarium an overall 3 because the staff was so careless in clearing the tables and throwing away unopened straws. It's unnecessary polluting.
The Strawberry Mojito was AMAZING. The dishes looked and tasted wonderful. Our waitress was super nice and efficient. The experience was nothing but AWESOME!!
Went for the valentines dinner day that included the dinner and tickets and was very disappointed! Food was awful, server didn’t know the menu, and someone kept asking to take our pictures then if we wanted to pay for them. Very disappointing
ambiance was very good although a little loud. Wait staff were very attentive and both myself and my date received roses.
Great food along with good wait staff, aquatic atmosphere was very pleasant to be around, daughters loved the mermaid show.
We have been going to the aquarium for years now to dine for special occasions. The food is great, the service very good and the atmosphere is very fun! Major kudos for their care and concern when it comes to preparing a gluten free option for one of my kiddos with celiac.
The only recommendation I would have is that is really is imperative when you are serving 3 adults and one 2 year old, is that you always bring the 2 year olds food out first, or at least at the same time as the other meals.
Got to seat with a great view to the aquarium! Food was great , we ordered from the lunch menu, affordable prices and our waiter was the best.
Overall we had a good visit. Our server was a bit slow getting to us and we were served our meals with no cutlery or napkins so had to request them in order to eat. We enjoyed our view of the aquarium table side and will plan to reserve during the mermaid show next time.
Pretty expensive for a less than mediocre meal with less than average service. Don't get the crab salad still had dirt or shell in it
We used to love going to the aquarium with the kids. The mermaid show was a huge draw and the fish were almost distracting enough that my wife and I could have a real conversation over dinner. But recent schedule changes in the mermaid show made us wait an hour after eating for the 7:30 mermaids. Well that just sucks... Why such a huge gap of 2.5 hours between shows? I guess now we have to call ahead to make sure we schedule our dining over the show, which is just a little inconvenient. Couldn't you just do one mermaid longer and switch them off? Plus with no weekday shows. As always the food is okay, but nothing special. Though the burger was really good since I decided to go for something more familiar this time. That will probably become my safe bet there instead of all the fried fish.
Took our toddler for dinner. He loved looking at the fish and the mermaid show. The food was ok. Our appetizer came out about 5 minutes before our food. Meal was ok, but definitely overpriced.
Service was super slow, and a little awkward. Also, the food is WAY over priced.
I decided to go there for my son's birthday I asked if they could sing a happy birthday song for him and they told me "sorry but we don't do that here" really??? I'm so disappointed drove over a 100 miles from home for a special occasion and they couldn't even do something about it... worst experience ever!!!
